Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Reincarnation of the Great General

Chu Miao's eyes darkened. "This sword does not recognize the body; it recognizes the soul. If Grandpa is truly the same man from the past, the sword will acknowledge him. Just a drop of blood on the pattern on the dragon's forehead will be enough."

Chu Hao snorted, "That is just a gem, how can it absorb blood? Let me try first and see what happens."

"Feel free to do whatever you want."

Without waiting, Chu Hao opened a drawer and took a military dagger then made a small cut on his finger and let two drops of blood fall on the pattern mentioned, but the blood flowed down and hit the floor.

"Nothing happened, no absorption. See?"

"Are you grandpa?" Chu Miao tilted her head and asked?

Chu Hao scowled, but could only resign himself.

"Alright, let grandpa do it then."

Grandpa Chu took the dagger and made a small cut on his index finger and dripped the blood on the pattern.

The reaction was instant.

Everyone was shocked to see the blood disappear on contact.

A bright light erupted from the sword and a dragon roar could be heard from it. It shocked their very souls.

But it looked like only the few of them could hear it before silence fell.

The brilliance on the sword subsided before returning to its previous appearance.

No one could describe the shock they all felt, except for Chu Miao. The sword had really responded to grandpa Chu's blood. Grandpa Chu felt the connection buried deep in his soul.

He didn't need Chu Miao to convince him. He knew he was the general she was talking about.

Finally, he sighed and commented, "It seems like our Chu family has a very long history that has been lost over the long river of time."

"Indeed, if it wasn't for my incomplete soul, we might have never known our origin and the nobility of our family lineage."

" This is like a miracle, it is almost unimaginable that a person can reincarnate in the same family after thousands of years and have the same relationship with his reincarnated granddaughter. Then do you think your father and I are the same parents you had in ancient times?" her mother asked.

"That I am not sure, but you have a 60% resemblance to her, so you may be still my mother in my past life and father too. I think the best proof is that I look exactly the same currently as I did in ancient times. That means I carry the genes of the same parents, right?"

"Indeed, then doesn't that mean our entire family has reincarnated the same?"

"You can say that. It looks like there is more to that prophecy than meets the eye."

"It seems so; now, Bunny, can you tell us why everything you just told us is related to the articles you showed us in the beginning?" Her grandfather finally got back on track.

Her father also realized that they had deviated from the main topic and echoed, "Yes, we got off the track. How are they related?"

"Let me tell you the prophecy then you can interpret it. It goes like this:

The clock sighs its final breath,

Shadows curling like dying embers.

I walk the thread of twilight's edge,

Where echoes of fate murmur in riddles.

Death lingers, a whispering tide,

A hush before the storm of rebirth.

Not into the silence of forgotten names,

But into a world where the sky burns red.

The wind howls of ruin to come,

A month's grace before the earth shatters.

Steel and ash, hunger and blood

I stand where hope and horror entwine.

The end was only a door,

And beyond it, the war of my second life begins.

What do you think it means?"

Chu Hao felt he understood it well and muttered, "It talks about your death and also how our names have been forgotten; no wonder no one has heard of the Wuxin dynasty or the Chu family of generals."

"Yes, but it also talks about Bunny's reincarnation and about a sky that burns red as if announcing disasters that will ruin everything. It also says there is a month before the end of the world...." Grandpa Chu stopped in his tracks. What couldn't he understand now? Everything was clear now. Connecting it to that dragon roar, he figured out the main point.

However, Chu Hao almost lost his composure, "You mean the end of the world will happen in a month? How is that possible? Everything is going well now?"

"Do you think everything I said before was nonsense?" Chu Miao really wanted to crack her brother's head open to see what was inside.

"Of course not, there's evidence to back up your claims."

"And you still think the apocalypse is not coming in a month? No, to be precise, it's in 28 days. It's already been two days since the complete fusion of my soul."

"The reason I called everyone here is to discuss how to survive the apocalypse.

If it could be prophesied from thousands of years ago, you can imagine how devastating the earth will become. We need to prepare, and we don't have much time."

"Bunny is right, only 28 days before the earth shatters. We don't know what kind of disasters we will face and considering such a serious prophecy, I don't think the apocalypse will end in a decade or two. We have to prepare for at least, a lifetime."

Hearing what her grandfather said, Chu Miao was glad her family believed her. This makes everything easier.

"I believe we understand that when the apocalypse really begins, money will become even more useless than tissue paper, so it's better to spend it to acquire supplies.

And we should do it discreetly. We can't be ostentatious as it might cause trouble later. But grandpa, you are still respected in the country. Maybe you can warn the government so that they can find a way to warn people and have them stockpile before the disasters begin. This way more people can be saved."

"Mmm….I will do as Bunny says. Even though those old farts may be difficult to deal with, I would have fulfilled my duty as a general of this country.

Chu Hao, compile the reports and articles more formally and bring them to me. I know who to give so that it will receive attention."
