Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 333: A Difficult Decision

"Okay then, but what if they have weapons? They are soldiers after all." Another man asked timidly.

He had joined this group of people because his neighbor had introduced him. They had promised that anyone who participated in the raid would get at least twenty kilograms of rice, twenty kilograms of flour, five kilograms of sugar, some grains, five liters of oil, and a gallon of purified water.

Apparently, some people had been watching the people in Building H over time since the apocalypse started and the amount of supplies they have collected over the months was enough to fill a supermarket.

Their group of ten people would take whatever they could but make sure they rob most of the supplies.

After everyone gets the promised share, everything else will remain with the leader and he can give them some supplies once in a while once they run out.

He wasn't stupid enough to believe that sob story. He knew that the only supplies the members of the gang, because that is what it was would be the first distribution.

However, he was a bit skeptical about how successful the operation could be. Those people in Building H were not vegetarian. They will fight back and they would not hesitate to kill if need be. He didn't want to die in vain just because he didn't know his place.

"Why are you still worrying about that? The stronger ones aren't there. Mrs. Dong asked around and found that they left for training or something like that.

They won't be back soon. Also, we have four people with superpowers in our group. We also have weapons. We have four guns too.

What do you think the remaining weaklings can do to us when we go there fully armed and with superpowers?

Moreover, we will attack at night. With the element of surprise, we will have the upper hand." The leader was displeased that he was being questioned by a weakling, but he had to show that he respected everyone so as to gain support as a leader.

"The boss is right. A surprise attack will indeed give us an edge and prevent the people there from reacting and defending themselves." The man who spoke first supported the leader.

Of course he was trying to get into the leader's good books so that he could get more supplies.

"Alright, it's decided. Let's meet tomorrow night at the corner of the second convenience store. We will proceed from there. Don't let anything that happens here leak, or I will not show mercy." The leader said while brandishing a gun.

Some of the people moved back to keep a respectable distance between them while others cheered.

They thought that with guns, they could get everything they wanted.

The man who had questioned the leader still felt uneasy. He didn't think that the people in Building H were that easy to deal with.

Even though he wasn't going to tell anyone about the theft, he decided not to participate.

Since the military was going to kill zombies in large-scale that evening, he decided to take advantage of that window when the number of zombies in the streets decreased to go out and search for supplies.

Because of the heat, people had gone back to their routine before the torrential rain. Many only moved at night and those who could tolerate the heat somehow, like the soldiers, left shelter in the morning and evening.

During the day, even a ghost couldn't be seen on the streets. The sun was simply too hot.

That was one thing many people had discovered. During the last heat wave, the heat was simply too high even at night.

However, this disaster was a little different. The heat was related to the sun. That was why during the day when the sun was out, the heat would go up to 60° in temperature.

Such a temperature could literally cook an egg. Moreover, the sun would be out for fifteen hours a day, leaving only a few hours for people to rest and relax.

When the sun has set, the temperature goes down to 30° which is a blessing for everyone.

How could the human body tolerate such high temperatures? Luckily, with the experience of the last heat wave, people knew what to do.

The only problem was the water scarcity and the cholera epidemic.

So, the man decided to take advantage of the night after the mass killing of zombies to gather supplies and crystal cores.

He already knew about the importance of crystal cores. He was planning on collecting as many as he could before going to the safe base.

He believed that they would come in handy there.

Just like before the floods, zombies and dead bodies that had been thrown into the water when floods were everywhere were cleared.

The soldiers that Chu Miao had brought back had taken it upon themselves to hunt all the zombies within their community and decapitate them.

All dead bodies were burnt and debris cleaned.

Many people didn't understand why they would do that when people were going to move out anyway and go to the safe base.

Only those involved knew that the community would be their home, so they had to make it as clean as possible.

Since they weren't in a hunt for supplies, the people who had remained behind and unable to cultivate would go out to repair the walls of the community at night.

After being submerged in water for so long, some places were crumbling. Therefore, some team members with earth superpower had taken repairing the community as a form of training. They would find places that had been compromised because of the rain and use their superpowers to manipulate the soil mixed with cement then repair them.

Because they were using superpowers, they finished quickly.

Each part of the wall or building repaired would be sturdier than other parts, which showed how useful superpowers were.
