Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 285: Going Back Home

Yang Leo didn't wait for anyone else to take over the job of feeding his student. As soon as the bowl was on the table, he went over and took it then sat next to Mu Nan and started feeding him.

Although Mu Nan's throat had contracted because of lack of eating, he could still swallow some liquid. So, drinking the soup was not a problem.

He drank half a bowl and couldn't take anymore. Seeing this, Yang Leo didn't force him to continue eating and stopped feeding him.

Seeing that he had at least eaten something, Gu Fan felt that it was time to leave.

"Add a layer of clothes on him and cover him with a waterproof raincoat. We are leaving." Their harvest that day wasn't small.

They had gotten a lot of furniture even if there wasn't a lot of food. Moreover, the components they needed for the communication device had been found.

They had also taken away some things from other laboratories. It was possible that the reagents those three professors wanted was among them.

Thus, going home early was quite justified. Gu Fan and the others had heard about how He Yan had healed Fang Yao while they were in seclusion. Yang Leo had witnessed it all, so there was no harm in them trying to get home early to see if they could catch her before she enters seclusion and have her treat Mu Nan.

Hearing Gu Fan's order, Li Kun immediately took out a thick down jacket and a waterproof raincoat then assisted Yang Leo in helping Mu Nan put them on.

Once they were done, it was time to leave. This time they didn't bother putting some supplies on the boats for show because even if someone saw them, they would assume that they had gone to get the person they brought back.

Thus, Lu Kun put out two motor boats outside the window then proceeded to help Pei Ming and Yang Leo place Mu Nan gently in one of the boats.

Mu Nan had been alone in the lab building for a long time. At first he had a phone and internet to understand what was happening in the outside world.

But that didn't last long as as power was cut in the University earlier than other places. It may have been thought that there were no people in the school as the military had sent soldiers to rescue survivors a couple of days after the Chu family and Ye Xuan's team stopped going there.

It was in fact, grandpa Chu who had told grandpa Li about it who then had her son in the military make some arrangements.

Therefore, when it came to limiting services and rationing, learning institutions were the first to be cut off completely because the government thought that there were only zombies there.

Mu Nan had the fallen into darkness. It was lucky that he was a physics student and knew how make things that could produce electricity to at least power the lights in the place he was living in.

But he couldn't receive outside news anymore. He had not awakenes a superpower but he had seen people talking about them on the internet at first.

He had thought it was novel, but he had not seen anyone mention a space superpower. Or maybe, the people who were connected to him on social media were smart enough to understand that some things should not be publicized.

So, he hadn't known that there was a kind of superpower where someone could take things out of thin air.

He had been shocked when he saw Li Kun take a syringe and other IV set out of thin air. Then he was shocked again when a hot meal came out of thin air again.

Now, he was even more shocked to see two whole boats be produced from thin air. He thought that it was incredible and hoped to understand it more. It looks like Mu Nan was going to be a good friend of the three professors at home.

Even though they had to hide the issue of their cultivation, the soldiers knew that they couldn't hide everything about it. Only some aspects needed privacy. Thus, they created a barrier around the boats with spiritual energy to prevent Mu Nan from getting rained on.

It didn't matter that he was covered in a waterproof raincoat, some rain getting on him could mean death.

Mu Nan didn't understand what was happening and thought that this was one of the abilities the soldiers had developed from their superpowers. But Yang Leo knew better.

From the moment he had witnessed Chu Miao take the yacht out, he had understood that things were not as they seemed.

Now, it seemed that the Chu family had included Ye Xuan's team on their inner circle that could share their secrets. He hoped he could qualify for that circle some day.

The things that others got from joining that circle were very useful. It would be good if he could protect his parents and little sister the way these soldiers were doing for Mu Nan.

The boats passed by the same route as before and more people luckily avoided disaster as they hurried home with all the supplies they collected.

The robbers didn't dare to show themselves for fear of the guns in the hands of the soldiers.

Even they they had their own weapons and some guns, they couldn't compete with the soldiers. Thus, they stayed hidden until the boats had completely disappeared, but their targets had disappeared as well.

"Let's go back. We won't be getting anything today." The man who seemed to be the leader of the group said while getting up from a chair near the window of the building they had been hiding in.

"Brother Rong, are we really just leaving like that? We have nothing to show for today, what if the boss gets angry?" One of the followers said while shrinking into himself.
