Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 260: Staying Under the Rain

This was nothing short of a miracle. When Chu Miao saw that Li Pan could sit down without her help, she moved over to Chichi and performed the same actions.

The other soldiers also drank the medicine as soon as they got the bottle and soon everyone was as lively as ever. They didn't feel the fatigue from all the fighting and their wounds were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

They had never experienced something like this before. This was yet another reason the soldiers and the members of Li family felt they had made the right choice to ally themselves with the Chu family.

There was no way they could get something like the medicine they had just taken anywhere else in the world. They had to hold on to this thick thigh and never let go. Being treated so well, whoever let go would be stupid to his/her eighth generation ancestry.

"Do you want to change your clothes?" Chu Miao asked the people still sitting in the rain and all of them refused.

"We are going to get into the water again when we look for supplies later anyways, so what's the use of changing into dry clothes now?" Chichi, who had already experienced the hardships of looking for supplies underwater, replied on behalf of the others.

The other teammates also nodded their heads. They had already heard about how Yang Leo and the rest had dived into the water to look for supplies during their last escapade and they felt that it was useless to change into dry clothes.

"Okay then. Go back to the cabin then. The rain is still heavy and I don't think it's comfortable to endure the rain here." Chu Miao started to urge the people on the deck to go below and rest in the cabin but to her surprise, they refused that offer too.

"It was fine when our clothes were clean and dry to sit in the cabin but now that we are dripping wet from flood water, I think it's better if we just stay out here. It can also help to temper our bodies so that we won't fall sick so easily in the future." Li Han replied this time and since no one got up, Chu Miao understood that the decision was unanimous.

"Alright then, you guys can stay here. Ye Xuan and I will go back to the helm and drive this boat to our destination." Chu Miao replied then followed her boyfriend back into the helm of the yacht.

"They are a lot tougher than I thought." Chu Miao said to Ye Xuan as soon as she sat down on the chair placed on the side.

Ye Xuan, who was in the middle of starting the boat, paused for a second before proceeding.

"They are elite soldiers who have been trained with a lot of the country's resources. If they couldn't even deal with something as simple as fish when there are so many, then all that training would have been in vain." Ye Xuan felt that it was normal for the soldiers to be able to perform well in the fight with the fish because of their training.

"But those aren't normal fish. They have mutated and are more aggressive than normal sharks and also have the danger of carrying the zombie virus. I was skeptical at first feeling that the test we were giving them was too tough but I didn't expect even the girls who had never been trained before could make it.

If they continue with the same spirit, I can be sure that no other team or base will ever be able to rival us no matter how hard they work." Chu Miao said with the hope of the future.

She didn't know when the apocalypse would end, or if it would end, but she hoped that her family and those she chose to protect would live a fulfilling life instead of just waking up every day to survive.

She wondered if a cure could be developed for the zombie virus. It didn't look easy, considering how it erodes a person's life within a few moments of being infected and turns them into a walking corpse.

"A soldier has to be prepared to fight to the death if they have to, but if there is a glimmer of hope, they cannot give up their lives and must do everything they can to wait for reinforcements.

In the case where they were fighting the fish, their morale was high because they were trying to prove themselves and also, they didn't really have the fear of death. They were sure that if something happened, we would step in. That was a part of why they managed to fight without much regard for anything else.

They tried to ensure their safety while still completing the mission. It is like a work ethics code for soldiers. They also helped each other to finish the quota of their work, which followed the soldiers' code of leaving no man behind. They are very disciplined, and that is a good thing." Ye Xuan explained his observation to his girlfriend as he navigated the yacht to head to their destination.

"That's good then. Their training isn't going to be too tiring. I am wondering how to introduce cultivation to those who can cultivate later." Chu Miao stated her dilemma.

In fact, she wanted to wait until the sect had been officially established then they could introduce cultivation to the new members. But she was also concerned about late development. She was confused and didn't know what to do. That was why she brought it up with Ye Xuan.

He usually has a deeper thinking mind than hers and his decisions are rational. She needed a rational thinker at that moment who would not be affected by emotions.

"I would advise to wait until we have developed the sect. We can then filter the people who are joining us and choose those who are eligible for cultivation before introducing it."
