Ancestral Lineage

Chapter 372: Ancestors: Wills

What did it mean to be three-in-one? How did it feel? Was it even bearable? Or was it something far greater—something incomprehensible?

To be a beast, an artifact, and a spirit all at once. To be three natures braided together into a single existence. What was she, truly?

First, she had been Angitia—the red serpent. Ethan's first spirit beast, born from his Psychic powers, a companion as close to him as breath itself. A fierce protector. A primordial bond.

Second, she was Tia—the Chain of Wills. A sentient artifact passed down through Ethan's bloodline, a gift of ancestry, a relic of devotion. She had evolved, she had gained flesh, and in doing so, became the living embodiment of Willpower itself.

And then came Athelia. A spirit, sudden and enigmatic. Whether she had formed for Ethan's sake or her own, she never cared to ask. She was, in truth, a replacement—yet a perfect one.

That was the cruelty of Fate. Heartless. Despicable. Shitty. Fate, the eternal bitch, pulling threads with no care for those bound within them. They should have been three, distinct and whole. Instead, they were woven into one body, bound in one soul, forced to become a singular existence of impossible complexity.

Three-in-one. A paradox wearing flesh.

Thankfully, she hadn't fractured into split personalities. But the thought made her shiver—because if she had…

Angitia, ever possessive and overprotective of Ethan, would have smothered the world in her coils.Tia, mad with singular devotion, would have burned reality itself for his sake. And Athelia, who herself was clawed with possessiveness, would have devoured everything that dared to stand in the way of her bond with him.

Three wills like that, crammed together? Ethan would have been crushed beneath the weight of their love and madness.

But no—there were no three. Not anymore.

They were gone. Not erased, not dead—but transformed. Fused. Interwoven into something wholly new. Their souls had been braided into one thread, and that thread had given birth to her.

She had accepted the name "Athelia" once, because she had not known who she was. But now she understood.

She was not Angitia. She was not Tia. She was not even Athelia. She was the balance of them all.She was the culmination, the unity, the refinement. She was the embodiment of Willpower itself.

She was a Chimera of Wills. The Ancestor of Wills.

And in that moment of revelation, something deep within her cracked open like a shell. A light stirred inside her chest—soft, silvery-blue, radiant yet serene. It whispered a name into her mind, a name that felt older than memory, purer than fate.

Not Angitia.Not Tia.Not Athelia.

Her true name.

Vaeloria.

The soulmate of Ethan. The three-in-one being. The serpent, the chain, and the spirit, made whole.

She was Vaeloria, the Personification of Wills, the living testament of resolve, and the Ancestor of Wills.

And the world would remember her name.

The crack wasn't all. The moment she accepted the name, she changed.

Cracks started spreading all across her body. With a thought, she teleported from her room to a mountain far away from the mansion and Anbord. Her face was calm and collected, not showing any fear of what was happening.

She had felt it when Ethan's aura changed. She knew that he'd been finally recognized by the world and was evolving into a higher race so that he doesn't become a chaotic being. That was what she was also experiencing. She was becoming the true essence of a three-in-one being. She was becoming a chimera but unlike mythological chimeras, she was becoming the perfect version of a chimera.

She was ascending for the first time.

Ever since she appeared, she'd felt left out, isolated. No matter how the others treated her, she'd never felt really at home but now was different. After this evolution, she would go and give them all a huge hug and tell them how she truly felt. She would express the gratitude she had for them for accepting her despite how different she was from them all.

With that last thought, her body exploded in a shower of silvery-blue light, illuminating the night sky at her location.

...

"So, you accepted your identity, huh?" The voice was divine and soft, possessing a motherly tone and grace to it.

"Mm? Who are you?"

"How have you been?" Another voice echoed beside her, possessing a playful and mischievous tone.

"Wait! Angitia? Tia?"

""Yes!"" The two voices replied in unison making her widen her eyes.

"I thought you disappeared... sorry for my words!"

"It's nothing. We should have, but we are you so..." Angitia answered. Her appearance was of a very large, red scaled serpent.

"We can never leave Ethan," Tia said with a possessive tone. Her appearance was of a beautiful faceless woman with shining blue skin.

"We are tied and bonded by not flesh, but soul. Don't ever think we would just disappear," Angitia added.

"But, if you guys are still here, then why didn't you..." Athelia asked. Her appearance was of a beautiful woman with blue hair and blue eyes.

"It seems you still do not understand. We are or we were three-in-one. We were essentially three entities sharing a single body, but after this..." Angitia stated.

"We will become one. There will be no Angitia. No Tia and certainly, no Athelia. Just Vaeloria," Tia ended her statement.

"We will become truly one," Athelia said.

"Exactly," Angitia.

The moment Angitia finished, a change occurred. First was Angitia. Her long serpentine body coiled until it was only her head and neck sticking out. Athelia's body stretched and became energy-like and enshrouded Angitia. Then Tia's body slowly transformed into a beautiful blue chain that wrapped around the two, leaving no gap. A blinding light radiated from them, shrouding the whole place in a soft yet harsh light.

When it receded, there was no huge serpent, or a chain or a spirit, but a beautiful sigil which glowed with a silvery-blue and red light. It was of a woman with a serpent coiled around her and a chain rotating around the serpent and her.

...

Outside, in the real world, the blinding light receded but what followed was a heavy presence that crushed everything within 20 kilometers to dust. Thankfully, there was no sign of civilization, or they would've been sent to the afterlife.

Her body started reforming as the heavy presence of will she radiated slowly yet gradually disappeared.

When her body was fully formed, the air around her warped with power. Her long red hair cascaded like molten fire, but the blue tips shimmered like starlight, an ever-shifting glow that seemed alive. Her silvery-blue eyes radiated a cold brilliance, and from her brow opened a third eye, a mix of silver, blue and red. The essence of Athelia, Tia and Angitia.

Two long silver horns curved gracefully backward, crowned with faint celestial light, marking her as both predator and monarch. Her skin darkened into an obsidian sheen, yet traced across it were glowing blue chain tattoos, snaking from her hands up her arms, and from her thighs down her legs — living sigils of binding and command.

Across her face, crimson scales glimmered, catching the light like forged rubies, trailing into her claws of living steel and fire. Her entire form was a fusion of red, blue, and silver, weaving together destruction and sovereignty. Every step resonated like the chiming of cosmic bells, every breath an edict of divine judgment. She was no longer just a ruler — she was the embodiment of chimeric divinity, a queen born of beast, spirit, and artifact, commanding reverence and terror in equal measure.
