Almighty Father System

Leo and Snow arrived at the convention center in the middle of the city where mostly all the big events were held and Percie Hibiscal greeted them at the gates of the center.

She sighed and said, "Everyone is ready. Are you ready, Sir?"

Leo looked at Percie Hibiscal and said, "Are you nervous, Percie?"

The lady sighed and said, "Had you told me that you acquired Evergreen Hospital Network, and that they would be coming over to sign the deal today, I would have been prepared."

Snow recalled the young man had received the call for the contract signing late yesterday night. She took a deep breath and said, "Well, we should discuss the shock later, but first, let us get inside. I am sure the press would be getting uneasy."

Percie nodded and the people all went inside one of the dozen halls that were built here by the government for the businessmen to hold conferences. The price was cheaper than the Five star hotels scattered all over the city.

After a few minutes, they came backstage where a few people from the PR team were dealing with various things. Percie said, "It was getting harder for me to handle things in Public relations, so I created a new team. This young man is the director of the Public Relations department. Mathew, come over, this is President Leo Cardinal and CFO, Snow Cardinal."

The young man walked over quickly while adjusting his glasses and hurriedly shook hands with Leo and Snow. He said, "I apologize for cutting the introduction short, Sir, but it would be nice if you handle the press right away. They have been warmed up by the others in the department."

Leo looked at his watch and realized that indeed they had cut it a bit too short. Although his brief has been memorized by him on the way here as Snow drove the car, he still asked, "Do I really need to stick with the content your team wrote for the release?"

Mathew chuckled and shook his head as he said, "Sir, you have complete control on how you wish to direct the conference. The brief was just for you to stick to some basic highlights. The people would like it if you can highlight the features in a more relatable manner."

Leo nodded, before he pecked Snow on the cheek and walked onto the stage. The PR department host that was on the stage quickly stopped speaking and backed off.

Leo smiled at her and then he turned to face the press as he said, "All of you must be thinking who I am? Did I come up here to drag onto the warm up act? Well, not actually. Hello friends, I am Leo Cardinal, the President of Butterfly Technologies."

The people fell silent and then all of a sudden, the cameras started flashing and pictures were taken. It was all done in a few moments, and Leo said, "Guys, if you all exploit the flash that much, I will be flying in blind."

The cameramen chuckled and they stopped. Leo rubbed his eyes a little and said, "Let me introduce the product to you guys before we take questions. Alright?"

Then a PR team member came over the stage with a robot rolling behind it. The people were curious, and Leo nodded at the PR team member and said, "Rollie, where is your body?"

A mechanical voice replied to him, "Ummm, well boss, I think they forgot to load me on the body."

The reporters chuckled, and then another PR team member came over with a small cylindrical unit that had a few wheels attached to it. Then he picked up the sphere from the ground and placed it on top of the cylindrical unit.

Surprisingly, the sphere didn't nest in the cylindrical unit but it simply hovered above it. Leo said, "How are you feeling now?"

The bot replied, "Not so rollie now, Boss. Thank you."

Leo smiled and said, "Ladies and Gents, this little cheeky fellow is the Butterfly Technologies latest product that specializes in health assistance. He is loaded with over thousand medical symptom identifying protocols. Various sensors that monitor your body temperature, heart beat, and calorie intake.

More importantly, it can even treat simple injuries like scraped knees and elbows completely without any intervention from humans. It can also be a guide dog, and lead the visually impaired people through the streets. Monitor the diet of the older people who suffer from Diabetes and Blood pressure issues.

The device has been tested by the veteran doctors all over the world and most importantly, it has already been used in the Evergreen Hospital's emergency departments to provide the patients with a preliminary screening and diagnosing the vital parameters…"

Then he went on for an hour to describe the hardware followed by a few videos that displayed how the bot worked. The research and development wing of the Butterfly Technology would be praised by a lot of people after this.

After Leo stopped, he picked up a glass of water from the side and drank a mouthful before he said, "Well, let's begin the question and answer."

The people got excited once again, and one of them asked, "President Cardinal, what is the pricing for this bot?"

Leo replied, "This particular model would be priced around ten thousand Yuan. It may sound expensive, but it does have the features that can really save your lives. If you think it is too much, then you can take it on a subscription basis and also the EMI options."

The people nodded, and the questions about the bots continued, Leo kept answering every single one of them with grace and calm. Suddenly, an old voice sounded through the crowd, "Umm, excuse me, President Cardinal, may I ask, what was your relationship with Christopher Cardinal?"

The name of the latter caused the people to pause before they all opened their eyes wide and stared at Leo, who smiled faintly and said, "He is my father, Sir."

The old reporter mumbled, "You are, Young Master Cardinal, the one who was injured into immobility?"

Leo smiled and said, "Yes, I am the same. Old Sir, if you know what happened back then, I hope you don't spread it around. It might incur the wrath of some people that cannot be offended."

The old reporter nodded, he said, "It is good to see you back, you are the reflection of your father."

Leo smiled and said, "That makes me very happy, Sir. Thank you. The refreshments have been served, please enjoy the meal before you leave."

That said, he turned around and was about to get down the stage when he suddenly said, "Oh, guys, the sales go live in a week, pre-order gets you ten percent discount."

The PR team members heaved a sigh of relief, because if Leo had forgotten this, they would have to rush over and deliver the message to the various reporters and influencers.

Snow asked Leo, "You okay?"

She was worried that after facing the media, and getting recognized by them, Leo would be worried about things, but the Young Man only smiled and said, "I am fine, don't worry."

Snow hooked his arm and said, "We shall go and sign the contract for share transfer as well, because they would want to get it notarized as soon as possible."

Leo nodded and then headed over to the small meeting room, where three people were sitting already. They all stood up from their chairs, and after exchanging greetings, a man in a corporate suit passed over the files representing the ten board members of the Evergreen Hospital Network.

Leo signed the documents after reading them and then the counsel departed, leaving behind two people. One of them was an old man, while the other was a middle-aged lady.

Leo smiled and said, "Doctor Ottoman, First Blade of the Neuro-Science department and also the Dean of Meds. Miss Blake, the Managing Director of the network. Combined you two handle the situations in around thirty hospitals that we have. Correct?"

The two people nodded, and Leo said, "Good. From now on, every year, the number of interns we hire will be tripled. The best will stay inside the hospitals, in regular quantities but the rest will be sent out to fields with retired doctors, I am sure they are still contract bound to be consultants for us?"

Miss Blake nodded, stunned and Doctor Ottoman asked, "President, what do we do in the fields?"

Snow smiled and replied, "Charity, providing treatment to the needy, and the weak. The Cardinal Charity Fund will sponsor those trips, and the interns will be given a Rollie Bot Mini each to help them follow a set of important questions and increase efficiencies."

Doctor Ottoman gulped and said, "This would change the face of medical world."

Leo smiled and replied, "That is the intention."

After wrapping up everything, the couple came to the school again, and found Lily smiling widely as she said bye to her classmates. Snow asked, "Little one, what did you do?"

Lily raised her chin and said, "I made two hundred yuan."

Leo asked, "Show."

Lily took out three notes, and said, "Two Hundred in profit. Am I a genius, or am I a genius?"

Snow sighed and said, "You are a goblin, a money grubbing goblin."

The mother and daughter bantered as they headed home. While Leo smiled, and thought how he was going to deal with Aron Rao, whose fate was about to change for the worse.
