Chapter 52- Curious
[Logan's POV:]
...that person doesn't have magic?
I couldn't help but wonder upon witnessing the performance of a certain guy named Kyle. My hearing is good so I heard when the referee called.
I have seen several warriors in the past who don't possess any magical skills but are a veteran fighter. They are some bunch who can survive a horde of monsters with a loaf of bread and a kitchen knife.
However, the difference between them and this guy named Kyle is the experience. All those guys I have come across were majorly in their late forties. But looking at the silver head in the arena, I could tell he was someone around my age.
'In pure combat, I don't think I could have dodged that attack ...' My body was still heated up by that enthralling performance shown by Kyle.
His planning and execution. The advantage he took from his opponent's inexperience, and the strength he showed by shattering a well-formed barrier...I was inches apart from approaching him and asking for a spar.
Although I wasn't a battle junkie, despite how much my old comrades called me so, I had a very strong urge to test my physical limits against Kyle.
'I hope we can fight one day....' With a grin, I decided to leave since considering the next contestants, I knew I wouldn't get to see another exciting battle.

'Oh damn....' After leaving the gymnasium I was pretty much lost.
It seems every student was directed toward their classrooms since the auditorium was empty as well.
'This place is so big ...' I wandered aimlessly into the main building since I had no clue where to go. This was only the second time I had entered this building and naturally couldn't locate the classrooms.
'Should I use Detection?' The choice seemed efficient but there was a problem.
Magic Detectors are located in each corner of the school and if I use aura here, I might get punished.
"Are you lost, student?" Amidst my conflicted thoughts, someone called out to me.
I turned to look at the lady....and found myself falling into a daze.
Beautiful violet hair was braided and allowed to fall down her shoulders. Her almond-shaped violet eyes gave off a very innocent vibe—urging me to just trust her without even knowing her name.
Without even realizing I was nodding foolishly.
"Fufu~that's what you get for strolling around and not listening to the teachers." Her melodious giggle helped me get out of my daze.
This Academy....is full of beauties. First that princess, then the President, and now...
"I'm your instructor for potions. My name is Clara." She introduced herself which made me realise my mistake.
"I am Logan. Sorry for staring at you rudely." I bowed my head and apologized before adding, "It's just...Professor Clara had such pretty eyes I couldn't help...."
No, no, no! What am I even saying?! This is not something you should say to your teacher!
"You are quite the honest type." Hearing her giggle made me realize that I didn't offend her.
"Now, please follow me. I will guide you to the class." I, with my face red in embarrassment, nodded and thanked the teacher.
Seriously, I need to do something with myself.

[Kyle's POV:]
If I am not wrong then Clara and Logan must have met and interacted already by now.
Alatia left the gymnasium after my match followed by the President and her secretary.
The rest of the matches were not as swift as they went for me and Elera. Some shouting, some shounen moments, and some tears before all the ten rounds concluded.
"Now, until the assessment continues, you can go back and rest in your designated quarters." The instructor told us and we silently agreed. Those who were injured were taken to the infirmary including my opponent as well.
I was planning to go back and cook lunch for myself. Alatia wouldn't get to leave until the evening so I will make her something good once she returns.
Just as I was about to step out, a familiar voice called out, "Thanks."
I raised my brows before asking the silverhead, "What for?"
"The one who changed the ingredient...you punished him."
Oh...so the one who tried to bring her down was that barrier master?
"I didn't know and naturally didn't beat him for that cause," I confessed.
"Doesn't matter. All I care about is the fact that you destroyed him brutally."
....you should laugh a little after making such a statement.
I wryly chuckled and said, "Well, nothing to mention then." I was planning to walk away from her and get back to the living quarter, when suddenly, Elera scoffed,
"So it's true. That princess is quite possessive toward you." My feet momentarily paused as I glanced at her.
"You can tell?"
"Of course. After all, that emotional outburst was not something I had seen for the first time. And given you were quite fascinated by me back then, I deducted much."
"Fascinated? Quite highly you regard yourself." I smirked at her, but truth be told nothing which she said was untrue.
Elera shrugged and began to walk away. I also didn't say anything since more than this, I don't want to increase my familiarity with her.

[Third Person POV:]
"Excuse me, Professor Ceaser." The dark green-haired professor who was standing on the podium and introducing himself to the class; halted.
Turning towards the entrance the normally stern Professor, smiled. The source of his smile was Clara who had arrived with a guy beside her.
....that momentarily faltered Ceaser's smile but he didn't let it become obvious.
"Professor Clara? How can I help you?" The bespectacled Professor advanced toward Clara and asked in a way softer tone than before.
The students were eyeing Clara carefully, not only because she was beautiful but also because she was favored by the infamous serpent-tongued Professor named Ceaser.
"This student had lost his way to the class. If possible, can you not punish him?" Clara asked politely while gesturing toward Logan.
Ceaser glanced at Logan for once before he smilingly responded, "You don't need to request rather just ask Professor Clara."
Turning his focus toward Logan, Ceaser spoke in a sharp tone, "Go and take the empty seat beside someone."
Logan raised his brows but didn't comment on the clear partial behavior of the guy.
As he walked inside, Logan found all the seats in the front were occupied except for the center frontmost.
There was only one person sitting on it, and considering her identity, it was no surprise she was sitting alone.
Logan decided to sit beside Alatia, even though they had a soft argument before.
"Hey." Logan greeted casually, only to get ignored by Alatia.
Suddenly he remembered something and asked Alatia in a hurried manner, "Hey, Kyle is your butler, right? Can I fight with him?"
This....indeed got a reaction from her. And that reaction made Logan feel frightened.
With her eyes frostier than an iceberg, she glanced at him, and spoke in an indifferent tone,
"If you wish to graduate from this Academy, stay away from him."
Logan raised his brows. Earlier in the gymnasium, sh
e had such an outburst because of her butler, and now this....
Now Logan wants to fight Kyle even more!
