Chapter 47- To the entrance ceremony~2
The crowd witnessed the pink-haired noble tormenting the little maid just before the entrance ceremony. Given that the said pinkett is the son of a Count, doesn't allow anyone to intervene. In the first place, any master has all the right to behave with their servant in any manner they deem right.
Now, under such circumstances who would want to invite an unnecessary grudge from such a politically strong person?
No, there was one.
"You filthy slut deserves nothing more than to rot in the same pit where your parents died! You can't even keep up with your master just because that useless mouth of yours hasn't consumed food since last night?"
Rowell Markton has always been such a kind of grumpy personality who expects the best from those around him and especially those whom he owns. And this maid was not even on par with those standards which a servant should be.
Disdainfully, he raised his leg and stomped on her stomach.
"Aghhh! Master!!" She yelled and wailed but it was necessary for this object to understand what mistake she had partaken in.
'I want to be the first one to be present there and occupy a seat in the front row. I can't let this opportunity slip!' Rowell gritted his teeth. In this opening ceremony, he has the chance to sit just in front of the podium and give a good impression to the teachers and the first-year representative by being entirely attentive.
And because of this bitch!
"Shit! Just die!" Raising his foot again he aimed for the maid's face—only to find something crashing against his stomach and the teenager was blown away with it.
"Ghugh!!" Rowell gagged in pain as he clutched his belly after stabilizing his feet. If not for his timely use of the Strengthening spell then he might have crashed into one of the students.
'Who...?!" Looking towards the maid, he found a certain raven haired helping the girl.
Rowell didn't have to think twice before he strengthened his arm and launched toward the male.
He couldn't discern his ranking and background and given the 'savior' has black hair, it was given that his lineage descends from commoners.
Four steps it took and Rowell was inches away from the young black head's face. Rowell's fist currently had the strength to break a pillar. As one could discern, he was not going to hold back with his strike.
In response, the black-haired boy calmly parried the punch with a quick palm strike and saw the pink head falling forward because of the shift of momentum.
Logan narrowed his gaze at the panicked visage of the noble before he held him by his lower jaw and tightened his hold until Rowell's bone started creaking.
"You freak! Let go of me! You dare-"
**CREAK**
Rowell's eyes widened as he felt the bones of his jaw trembling—on the verge of cracking.
He used his skill to reinforce his jaw but to no avail. It felt like as Rowell increased the force of reinforcement, the strength behind the commoner's hold elevated as well.
'Shit! This isn't the grand entrance I wanted!' Rowell was about to summon his Angelic voice and command the commoner to let go. But before he could have, someone arrived on the scene.
"What's happening here?!"
The students who had crowded around the plaza began to scramble since undoubtedly this voice belonged to an instructor.
Rowell growled at the commoner, "I will make sure you realize whom you have dared lay your hands."
Rowell swatted the offender's hand away and before the instructor could arrive, he told his maid to follow him and slinkly left the plaza.
Logan sighed watching the scene as he also decided to leave.
Although he couldn't watch a pitiful soul getting tortured by a prick, Logan didn't have the desire to leave a bad impression on the teachers on the first day.
'Great...I wanted to avoid attention....' Looking at how people were looking at him as he made his way toward the main building, Logan couldn't help sighing.
He was aware that coming from a commoner background, he needed to keep a low profile to not offend some young masters here. However, the unjust he just saw was too cruel to ignore.
'Hmm?' Reaching the main building he saw someone standing near the bulletin board.
The blond beauty made him dazed for a moment and without even realizing Logan found his steps advancing toward the only girl who was approached by no other students.
And he knew the reason.
Logan forcibly broke his daze and stood beside the girl silently. She looked unbothered by his presence and read the motivational phrases written on the board.
Logan, by all means, wanted to stay shut and mind his business but remembering something from before, he couldn't retain his oath for long,
"Despite being a Princess, you didn't step up to help that maid. I suppose your servant must be very cautious to stop you from helping someone in need."
Logan, and his big mouth. He has been warned by many people in the past that he shouldn't approach those people or try to get on their nerves who can easily ruin Logan without much hassle.
However, he couldn't ignore the fact that despite having the authority to stop that pink-headed bastard, the Princess didn't take any step just because that silver-headed butler stopped her.
Logan had been on standby until he didn't realize that even Your Highness was going to pretend that none of that commotion concerned her.
Alatia didn't bother looking at the boy and responded in a tone that suggested how least affected she was by Logan's words,
"Inside the Academy, every student has a similar standing. A princess or not, it wasn't my place to interfere between a master and their servant."
"But as a human being? Are you that cruel to allow someone to hurt an innocent without even trying to stop it?"
Logan was kind of frustrated hearing her excuse and thought that now, his statement would rile her up.
However, all he could see in the eyes of the Princess was indifference.
....she clearly was not influenced by his raised tone and such an aggressive statement.
Alatia glanced fleetingly in his direction before sharing a piece of her mind, "Whatever I am, is none of your concern. If your noble soul is hurt then grab a corner and weep."
With those words, Alatia turned on her heels and walked away—leaving a bewildered Logan behind.
He remained lost for some moments before a smile lifted the edges of his lips.
'That girl....' Logan couldn't help shaking his head. This was the first time he has seen such a noble who didn't get offended by his statement and tried attacking him.
She is the first one who didn't even care what he had to say... actually the first one.
'Interesting...I wonder whether she can still care less about me once we meet in the duel arena...' With a grin, Logan watched Alatia's retreating back before he decided to stroll around a little to pass the time.

Unlike the students, the servants were not allowed to attend the opening ceremony, and all of them were told to report to the teacher's block by eight.
Kyle, naturally, had to oblige despite how much he wanted to witness Alatia on stage—giving the speech as the freshman representative.
Just like him all the other servants have gathered around in the main assembly of the building and lined up without being provided any instructions.
'...the protagonist is finally here eh...' Kyle couldn't help sighing under his breath as he remembered the raven-haired energetic youth who went straight ahead and made a very good impression of him amongst many students and some teachers. However, naturally, he made himself quite an annoying enemy as well.
For more than five reasons, Kyle was bothered with Logan, however the necessity of the protagonist far surpasses those problems.
'I just need to alter those events which involve Alatia and Logan...'
With those thoughts, he focused on the teacher who appeared in front of the servants and stated some words of direction,
"Everyone, follow me to the teacher's resting lounge. Your first test would begin there."
The race to be ranked as the best servant starts now.
