I got an idea after we were doing our best to keep Raishin safe while he was giving tomato goddess and Zack attacks to look out for.

Hey how we use our tactic: Protect the President?

You want us to stagger our tailed beast mode and protect the one who is getting focused down? Works for me. I assume I’m up next to use it.

Yeah, they are focusing Raishin down because those tiger clouds are a problem for them.

Raishin’s damage was ramping up and slowly but surely, he was starting to do meaningful damage to these gods. I was full-time interrupter and disrupter. Greg was blocking and countering with either Abyss magic or [Liberation] anything that I missed or let through.

Noobgod was attacking the two assholes but he also sneaked in some shots against us so it was a 1v2v3. Unfortunately, we were the most likely to lose first. Raishin was about to get hit by an [Incinerate] so I cast a [Frost cloak] on myself and swapped myself with him and countered with a [Kryokym].

“Aaagh! I hate that skill! Honey, we need to do another sweep of this planet and wipe out every Pagos user!”

I swapped myself with Greg so he could absorb a [Brilliant Light]. It looks strong so I hope he doesn’t take damage from it.

Raishin’s [Black Lightning spear] hit the tomato goddess in her face so she started to attack Raishin again. Greg took a lot of damage from that attack but he sent a new skill at tomato goddess. It was the other skill he had learned from his gramps.

[Telos] did seem to do meaningful damage to tomato goddess and it had blasted her arm off. Just as [Kryokym] seemed to be the bane of Zack, [Telos] seemed to be the bane of the tomato goddess. Will we kill them like this? Maybe if this battle goes on for 10 more years and we don’t die.

We’re just being an annoyance to them. They tried to land a pincer attack on Raishin.

Hey Nilah, want some mana?

I swapped Nilah with Raishin. She got blasted and absorbed all the energy.

“I think we need to switch over to get the 9-tailed furball first! His disruptive nature is obnoxious!”

Raishin! We’re doing ‘Protect the President!’ Agnis is now the President!

Raishin nodded. I swapped myself with Nilah, made a frost bow, and shot [Frost Arrows] at them. Did it do damage? Nope! Did it annoy them? Yup!

I guess all those years playing hide and seek comes in useful.

I covered myself in 12 layers of illusions and it seemed like I disappeared.

“Zax, he’s finally starting to fight like a 9 tailed furball, blast the whole area!”

“But what about that?” Zack pointed at Nilah.

“What about it?” She blocked Raishin’s kick. Not the skill just an orange lightning imbued kick. She pushed him back, grabbed him and slammed him into the ground.

“It will unleash a strong Pagos attack if I blast the area!” Zack blocked Noobgod’s shots.

I had sneaked around and was standing next to Noobgod.

Hey, Mr. Science, what’s the deal with these 2? They are gods but kinda getting their ass kicked.

I dodged a shot aimed at my head. He has quite a good hearing and accuracy.

“This place where you’re fighting is close to Bellia and Ardella’s favorite spot on the continent. The forest nearby and the lake on which the capital floats, are the favorite spots of the goddess of nature and water. Zarrazax and Biian have gotten 2 warnings in the past for destroying nature.”

I kicked his gun out of his hand and he took out a bigger one and shot an energy beam at where he assumed I was. Not quite a laser but the blast melted the ground.

So, staying here was a good idea, why aren’t you running?

Greg made a large cat made out of shadows and it was giving tomato goddess difficulties. Zack was freaking out. He probably things that cat is similar to Nilah. It actually might be.

“Even though I’d rather not see Ardella’s face, I will be fine.” He sniped tomato goddess out of the air which caused her to get slapped by the paw of the big [Shadow Cat]. She got annoyed and shot several [Light Balls] in our direction.

I made a pole out of frost, drove it into the ground and swapped Noobgod with it. He got stuck in the ground so he got hit by those attacks. I managed to evade most of them. Our shadows were still strengthened by Greg but these things still hurt a lot. Tomato goddess flew at me going for a punch. I flicked an ice cube at Noobgod who tried to get out of the ground and swapped her with the ice cube.

Let me help you get out of the ground.

Noobgod took the punch and got sent flying as it had dug him out of the ground. The temperature rose and Nilah did her job and made Zack useless.

“What are you doing Zax?!”

“I told you! It’s that blue fox!”

Hundreds of golden wisps surrounded me from all sides. I decided that this was bad news and swapped myself with Nilah. Tiny lasers shot out from each wisp and hit Nilah, she grew in size and dropped a full powered [Kryokym] on tomato goddess.

“Enough!” Tomato goddess got partially hit by that attack, the rest had been blocked by a gold transparent barrier around her.

“Black hair!”

Greg turned into a tuft of black hair. This confused tomato goddess since she expected me to also turn into a tuft of black hair.

I evaded a [Light Nova Blast] and swapped a pebble with the tuft of hair. I was just in time as a [Brilliant Light] blasted the area where Greg stood seconds ago.

“Ugh, Zax! Do you know [Spatial Lock]?”

“Why would I know that?”

“Learn it! This furball swapping things around is obnoxious! Now tell me furball, why didn’t that work on you?”

We had been fighting these gods for a while now but only now did I start to feel uncomfortable. I grabbed one of my tails.

Thanks for that Agnis. [Shadow Cat]! Get her!

Guys! Can you bunch them up for my [Lightning Glitter]?

“Answer me! What color is your fur!”

I tried to ignore her and tried to get Noobgod over here but he was stuck in a rock wall. I wonder what the requirement is for someone to become a god. Being competent doesn’t seem to be one of them.

Whats-his-name-ias is stuck in a wall, you will have to do with these 2. Nilah! Chase Zack over here!

Nilah was trying but she was fighting a god after all. I wanted to swap him over but tomato goddess moved extremely fast and grabbed my wrists.

“Why are you hiding the color of your fur?”

Greg forcefully [Shadow melded] me into my own shadow so that I could escape her grip. She tried to stomp on my shadow with a light imbued stomp but Greg moved my shadow to his and undid the [Shadow meld].

Thanks Greg.

Tomato goddess sighed. “I will give it to you furballs and pests, you are obnoxious and doing your race justice. Thanks for reminding me why I had to wipe you out. Now here is the problem.”

She walked over slowly and she started to glow golden.

“I’m in a delicate situation here. I need a wardrobe update and I need that 9 tailed furball for that but I’m also curious about the quality and color of the fur. But I also can’t destroy the environment because more nosy peasants will appear.”

Uhm, have you looked at how this place looks? The environment is quite destroyed.

“And whose fault is that! You dropped a [Meteor] on us! Your race always does this shit!”

To his defense, you nuked us with that light attack first!

Yeah! Stop being so petty! You started this!

Raishin went in for a kick but she blocked it with a kick herself and sent him flying.

I was circulating nature energy because my body was hurting everywhere. I was getting to a point that my focus could slip any moment. One small mistake could cost me or my buddies many lives. Greg seemed down 3 lives just like me. I don’t know about Raishin but he also looks like he took a beating. Meanwhile tomato goddess seemed like she had several scratches. Zack seemed fucked up though, he also had many new scars.

Noobgod had freed himself and wasn’t stuck in the rock wall. He seems quite beat up. I guess that punch packed a lot of power. Wait…

I looked more closely at tomato goddess. Some of her minor injuries seemed from Greg’s [Telos], but most of them were the injuries that Noobgod had inflicted on her. Zack was the only one who took a lot of damage from us. Maybe we have to shift our focus a bit.

I dodged a [Lightwave] together with Greg.

Greg, our attacks just tickle them but if we can make them hit each other they will take more damage!

You do know that you already have a target on your back because you keep using [Turning Leaf] right?

Greg forcefully [Shadow melded] us into our shadow to dodge another light-based attack. He moved us to Raishin and we popped out of the shadow. His leg seemed broken.

It’s fine, you only broke your leg, at least you didn’t die.

I have an idea. Greg see if you can fix his leg. I have one question though.

I swapped Zack in front of us so he could body block the [Light balls] flying at us.

Can you concisely explain how your 2 abyss attacks work and show me the magic circles?

[Erebeia] Only needs a vast amount of energy and will drop the opponents vitality to half. [Telos] becomes 20% more powerful for every time an opponent has been hit by abyss or shadow magic in the same encounter. Here are the magic circles.

Nilah ran over and harassed the enraged Zack. I quickly examined and archived the magic circles. I made a [Frost wall] to protect us from getting vaporized. Zack was doing that stupid skill again that could possibly burn me.

Right, I’m going to go 9t mode and use [Elgards Overload].

Greg grabbed my arm.

You will die if they catch you after that!

We will die if we keep this up! Running is a bad idea in this situation and this bitch can move very fast if she wants to. Staying here seems to keep them from going too hard on us. I just have to amplify their anxiety.

How long do I have? 8 minutes? I can go 3t mode after you fall out of [Elgard Overload].

A bit longer than that I will try to get them to attack each other. Try to get them to focus on you after I finish.

Greg nodded and gave Raishin a potion.

Be careful… I will set up [Black Lightning Haze] after you gave them hell!

Confirming that my buddies will take over being targeted I prepared to dial being obnoxious to 11. Playing ‘Hot Potato’ with aggro isn’t easy.

I went 9t mode and a mana wave burst out. Time started to glitch and space started to fold.

Any attack got their time rewound, halted or moved to a different time to where it would hit one of the other gods. I wasn’t attacking. I was folding space and manipulating time to cause them to hit each other. The fight between Isi and Ira, that I had observed years ago, came in extremely useful.

A glitch in time made Noobgod’s gun malfunction and explode in his face. A fold in space caused Zack’s [Fire Punch] to land on his own face. I showed an illusion of tomato goddess’ 9 parted face and she became pissed off and unfocused. All eyes were on me.

“Show me the color of your fur!” I was wondering if I should, she is not going to stop unless I do and she also won’t stop after I did. She will either go easier on me or be more relentless in trying to catch me.

I decided that that was a problem for the future me. 3 pupils appeared in my left eye and 4 in my right eyes and I started [Elgard Overload]. First thing. I did was create [Boss music]. I haven’t used this in a while. Let’s have some music here while I annoy them. The near-infinite illusion layers folded and created many copies of Nilah. These were as strong as the real one, not watered-down illusions like I had made before.

This was to keep Zack in check. I created countless [Frost Mirrors] that all reflected tomato goddess as if she had her 9 parted face. I forced the effect of having drank hundreds of liters of poison on Noobgod. He clutched his stomach and rolled into a ball of pain. My first window of near-infinite power came up so I started throwing full-powered [Kryokym] and [Telos] around.

The reason why Greg had to explain to me how it works and show me the magic circle was so that I could replicate it during [Elgard Overload]. I mixed some [Erebeia] in between and various attacks these gods had used and threw them upon them. I could still fold space and manipulate time so whatever they tried to hit me got sent back.

And even if they hit me… I had near-infinite illusion layers running so I could just shatter some and undo that reality. I didn’t forget to drop some 1000 layered [Confusion] upon them. This seemed to do lasting damage to them for some reason.

The window ended and I had to kick all the side effects out of reality. I was giving away when my windows of near infinite power came with the [Boss music] by letting the music intensify but there was not much they could do about it. Tomato goddess had decided to turtle it out and wait till my [Elgard Overload] had dropped.

She was protected by many strong light barriers. Unfortunately for her I know a skill that break that. It will come to her in my next and final window. The gods were visibly getting annoyed by me and the [Boss music]. Also they seemed to take a lot of damage from all these attacks. Not only from their own attacks that I was sending back. It seems tailed mode increases our damage against deities.

I kept swapping them into each other's attacks while I kicked out more instances of nausea, me being unable to use abyss magic, mana issues, and other side effects or impossibilities I had thrown around. I had also used tomato goddess’ Phase 2 against them and had turned tomato goddess into a tomato and Zack into a flame. I managed to get a lot of kills in like this but it wasn’t lasting.

I was 6 minutes into [Elgards overload] and I had successfully kicked all nasty side effects from my skills out of reality and my next overpowered window came up. I made it rain.

Tomato goddess gave up on her shields and started to seriously attack me. It’s good that I had near-infinite illusion layers because she managed to ‘kill’ me 193 times within 12 seconds. Scary. I parallel casted 10 tsunami’s and parallel casted 10 [Azure Spears].

Tomato Bitch’s eyes opened up wide. “This is impossible!”

It is as if you’ve never fought a 9t using [Elgards Overload]!

10 [Meteors] queued up which I threw around by speeding them up and changing their trajectory by bending space. I then used [Azure mist]. My window ended. I had 1 minute to fix my mana deficiency and nausea before I would drop out of [Elgard Overload]. It was a quiet 1 minute because the gods were too busy dealing with [Azure Mist]. Unfortunately [Azure Mist] will drop once [Elgard Overload] drops.

I moved to Greg as I got forced out of my 9t mode and the tips of my tails turned red.

Huh? I can still use Elgards eyes?

It ended your 9t mode though. I think it’s a good trade off. I will go 3t mode while they’re still distracted.

A mana wave went out and the whole area started to darken as all the shadows came to life and obeyed Greg.

That… was exhausting. How is your leg? Still hurts. I’m ready for a [Black Lightning Haze]!

I heard a loud ‘Meow’ as a gigantic [Shadow cat] was focusing tomato goddess down. Noobgod seemed to have changed plans and was also attacking her. I guess he hates her more than he dislikes us. She started to use her stupid skill [Biian] again. Greg managed to partly block it and died twice. He made our shadows abyss black again and it hurt but it didn’t kill us.

Ugh, this attack is so dirty! The mana sticks around! It will just cause mana corruption!

It reminded me of the state I had found Boshi town in. Did this narcissist blast it with a skill named after herself?

“I hate you! I hate all of you!” Tomato goddess started to throw a tantrum. Greg showed her the drawing of her 9 parted face.

I am thinking of selling this, could you sign it for me?

He held a thumbs up and the ambient mana started to shift toward light.

“Zax! Burn that drawing! Now!”

Wow these guys have a lower attention span than me, they completely forgot about you!

Works out for us, Greg is now the ‘President’ go unleash your black mist thingy. I will try to support where we can.

Tomato goddess tried to force Greg out of his 3t mode again with her Phase 2 bullshit. I had to focus and pull the moisture out of her mouth or fill it with water. I need a better method. I practiced writing the primal rune of ‘Silence’ so I could silence her. I’m also sure that she is prettier if she shuts up.

Hey! Why didn’t she try that on you in 9t mode?

Well, this is because just like Greg automatically is protected by shadows in 3t mode, I’m always protected by time and space, and you’re protected by lightning. So, time will just return to before that happens or it will turn its duration to 0. Any time or space-based attack against us is quite useless just as Greg is now completely dominating tomato goddess since light or dark-based attacks don’t do anything to him now. Well, it doesn’t do much.

So, OP! can you swap me next to Zack? I want to blast him!

Greg cracked open tomato goddess’ light barriers and the [Shadow cat] slapped her with its paw. She was quite serious now. If Greg wasn’t so strong against light attacks, he would have also died over a 100 times. Raishin is a problem though. He doesn’t have this advantage Greg and I have. It might become hard on us if he becomes the ‘President’.

I swapped Nilah with Raishin and he landed his [Lightning Glitter] on Zack and used [Black Lightning Haze].

I petted Nilah. She had done well. I’m sure Zack will have nightmares of blue foxes. I turned her into Shirayuki and used [Dimensional Sword] and sent some slashes from my location at Zack and tomato goddess which ignored any range requirements.

With [Dimensional Sword] active, I smacked tomato goddess into the [Shadow Cat’s] maw. I need to use this skill more often. Ignoring distance is quite overpowered. Then again, we’re throwing overpowered skills around and these gods don’t seem to care. I had finished preparing the primal runes

I think I can make these runes accurate now. I filled tomato goddess’ mouth with water again. And I wrote the rune. Silenam!

And it was a success! This bitch couldn’t make a sound. I have no clue for how long though. I drank some water as my headache was killing me. We need to rest. Unfortunately, that will not be possible. Exploring that dungeon was a bad idea.

Noobgod made some strange mecha suit which seemed like bad news so I crushed it with the pommel of my sword. Still with [Dimensional Sword] active. I wanted to continue harassing Noobgod but tomato goddess had sent a clone after me.

I have the feeling this clone is stronger than the real deal. This one abuses her speed. It’s like fighting Teppei but worse. I had barely any time to react. Luckily [Auto Dodge] saved me a lot but the punches soon started breaking the sound barrier so it became useless. I messed up and it punched a hole in my chest. I had lost a life but in exchange I can one-shot this clone. I froze her arm to my torso, wrapped her in my tails and used [Vaporize] instantly defeating it.

Having to exchange 1 life per clone is not a good tradeoff for me. I circulated nature energy and I went to sit down for a bit. Several lights flashed in the corner of my eyes and a dozen [Lightwaves] came at me.

I strengthened my [Frost cloak] and tried to evade them. I got hit by only 3 of them. I was barely hanging on to my life. I circulated nature energy through my body to recover. I also hid myself with some illusions.‎
