Chapter 15:

…..

-March 12th, 1996

On his third day of filming in Canada, Adam was completely immersed in the experience of acting alongside some of the best actors in the industry. While he had already worked with them in New Jersey, now that they had more scenes together, he could see up close just how impressive Whoopi Goldberg and Gérard Depardieu really were.

Both were seasoned professionals with years of experience, and despite Adam's habit of slightly improvising some lines—thanks to his Perfect Acting ability that did this automatically—neither of them seemed fazed. On the contrary, they often responded just as naturally, improvising themselves when the scene required it. What fascinated Adam the most was that, no matter how subtle the dialogue changes were, he followed along so seamlessly that it almost seemed unreal to everyone on set.

"This kid is incredible…" Depardieu muttered between takes, crossing his arms as he observed Adam.

"I know," Goldberg replied with a smile. "It's like he's a professional actor trapped in a kid's body."

Meanwhile, the director, Norman Jewison, much like in New Jersey, couldn't have been more delighted with how the scenes were unfolding. The on-screen chemistry between Adam and his co-stars was so natural and lively that it gave the film a special energy.

After several hours of filming, the final take of the day wrapped up, and the crew began packing up the set. Adam, feeling a bit tired but satisfied, stretched as he said goodbye to some of the technicians and assistants. That's when he noticed an older woman, probably in her 60s or 70s, approaching him.

"You must be the wonderful young actor I've heard so much about… Adam White, right?" the woman said in a strong, confident voice.

Adam looked up. The older woman had short, graying hair, dressed elegantly, and carried herself like someone who knew exactly what she wanted. And in this case, that seemed to be him.

"Yes, that's me," Adam replied politely.

"Estelle Gable, Whoopi Goldberg's agent," she introduced herself, extending her hand.

Adam shook her hand firmly, but before he could say anything, Andrew appeared beside him.

"Oh wow, looks like my little prodigy brother is catching everyone's attention," Andrew teased with a smirk before turning to the older woman. "Andrew White, Adam's brother and tutor."

Estelle shook his hand as well, sizing him up with a sharp, assessing gaze.

"Nice to meet you, Andrew. I've been watching your brother, and I have to say, I've never seen anything like this in my life. Whoopi and Gérard are fascinated with him. And if those two are impressed, trust me—that means something."

Adam felt a small surge of pride at the compliment, though he hid it well.

"Thank you, Ms. Gable," he said modestly. "I'm just happy to work with them—they're amazing."

"I know," Estelle replied with a small smile. "But what I really want to ask you is—have you considered getting an agent? Or do you already have one?"

Adam exchanged a quick glance with Andrew.

"Well…" Andrew started. "He doesn't have one yet, and to be honest, we haven't talked much about it. But I guess it's something we'll have to consider eventually—with our parents, of course."

"Look, kid," Estelle said, locking eyes with Adam. "I'll be straight with you. I don't usually represent child actors. But you—you're different. The way you act, the way you improvise and stay in the scene like it's second nature—that's something you don't see every day. And if you're already catching the attention of actors like Whoopi Goldberg and Gérard Depardieu, that means your career could take off fast… if you play your cards right."

Adam listened carefully. He definitely wanted to become famous.

"You want to be my agent?" he asked directly.

"Exactly," Estelle nodded. "I work at CAA (Creative Artists Agency), one of the biggest talent agencies in Hollywood—if not the biggest right now. If we work together, I can guarantee you auditions for major projects. In fact…" she pulled a notebook from her bag and flipped to a page with some notes. "I already have a couple of roles in mind for you."

Andrew raised an eyebrow, interested but also cautious. He wasn't sure if their parents would agree to his little brother jumping into another project so soon—especially since he hadn't even finished filming this one.

"What kind of roles?" Adam asked eagerly.

"The first is a movie called Jack, directed by Francis Ford Coppola," she said smoothly. "It's a comedy-drama film starring Robin Williams. They're looking for some talented young actors, and I think you have exactly what it takes to impress in an audition."

Adam felt a chill of excitement at the mention of Robin Williams. Even though he wasn't the biggest movie buff, that name he knew.

"Robin Williams? Seriously?"

"That's right, kid. And the other project… well, it's a little trickier. It's a movie called Leave It to Beaver. They're still searching for the lead actor. They've already auditioned thousands of kids, but I think you still have a shot—if we can get them to see what you can do."

Andrew looked impressed, but he still seemed cautious.

"This all sounds incredible, but again, we have to discuss it with our parents first."

"Of course," Estelle nodded. "In fact, if it's not too much trouble, I'd like to talk to them now. I don't want to waste time—some of these roles could disappear if we wait too long."

Adam and Andrew exchanged glances.

"We can try," Andrew said, seeing his little brother's obvious excitement. "If our mom is available, we can call her now."

"Perfect. You can use my phone," Estelle said, handing her cellphone to Andrew.

Andrew took the phone and dialed their home number. After a few rings, their mother, Sylvia, picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Mom."

"Andrew? Is something wrong?"

"No, Mom, everything's fine," Andrew said reassuringly. "Actually, we're here with Estelle Gable—Whoopi Goldberg's agent. She wants to talk to you… about Adam."

There was a brief silence before Sylvia responded.

"About Adam? What's going on?"

"It's better if she explains it. Can I put her on?"

"Uh… sure."

Andrew handed the phone to Estelle, who took it confidently.

"Mrs. White, it's a pleasure to speak with you. I'm Estelle Gable, a representative from CAA. Your son is an exceptional talent, and I'd love to represent him as his agent."

Adam couldn't hear what his mother was saying on the other end, but he could imagine her surprised and confused expression.

Estelle continued explaining her offer, detailing the projects she had in mind for Adam and assuring Sylvia that she would only look for age-appropriate opportunities. After several minutes, Sylvia finally sighed.

"Well… Adam really wants to do this, doesn't he?"

"Yeah," Andrew replied, glancing at his younger brother, who was nodding way too enthusiastically. "He hasn't stopped bugging me about it while Estelle was talking."

There was a pause before Sylvia spoke again.

"Alright. If Adam wants this, we'll support him. I'll discuss it with your father later, but for now, you can start the paperwork so we can review and sign it."

Adam grinned from ear to ear.

"Thanks, Mom!"

"But on one condition," Sylvia added. "He has to finish filming Bogus first—and he gets at least a month of rest before starting anything else."

"That's completely reasonable," Estelle agreed. "For now, I'll only send him scripts to record some video auditions. He won't need to travel anywhere until after Bogus is wrapped, and I promise not to involve him in anything before he's had his well-earned break."

Sylvia seemed more at ease.

"Alright, then. Welcome to the family, Ms. Gable."

"Oh, please—call me Estelle," the woman said with a smile before ending the call and slipping her phone back into her bag.

Adam could barely contain his excitement.

"This is amazing!"

"Yeah, yeah," Andrew said, ruffling his hair. "But first, finish filming. Then we focus on your auditions."

That night, Estelle handed Adam the scripts, and Andrew helped him record the audition tapes. As they wrapped up the final one, Adam lay back on the couch, feeling more excited than ever.

Not only was he in the middle of his first movie, but now he had an agent, new opportunities, and the chance to act alongside Robin Williams.

His life was changing fast—and the best part? It was just getting started.

-March 12th, 1990

After all the excitement from Estelle's sudden appearance earlier that day, Adam was now about to experience something even more thrilling.

And why, you ask? What could possibly be more exciting than everything that had already happened?

Well, today, finally, it was time for Adam to put his ability to the test.

The day after the Parkinsons had left and after reading more about his new skill, he had casually mentioned to Lucius that he was interested in having a pet snake.

Lucius, of course, had no idea of Adam's true intentions, but the man had been rather proud of his son's choice. After all, a snake as a pet was quite fitting for a Malfoy and a future Slytherin.

Because of this, Lucius wasted no time procuring a snake for him the very next day. And today was that day.

Adam couldn't help but feel smug about his cleverness. Initially, he had thought about asking Narcissa for the snake, but after some consideration, he realized she was more likely to refuse for a variety of reasons. Lucius, on the other hand, was much easier to persuade—and Adam had been absolutely right.

His mother had tried to object to the new pet, but Lucius had handled it on Adam's behalf, leaving Narcissa no choice but to concede.

Adam now stood in front of the terrarium, feeling his heart beat faster in anticipation.

"Hello?" he whispered in Parseltongue, consciously activating the ability and feeling a strange chill run down his spine as the eerie, hissing sounds escaped his lips—and, even more bizarrely, he understood them.

To his surprise, the small silver snake inside the glass enclosure slithered smoothly toward him, fixing him with an intelligent gaze.

"Who's… ssspeaking?" hissed the snake, its sharp eyes locked onto Adam.

Adam couldn't suppress his excitement.

"Err… umm, it's me, Draco Malfoy… well, actually… no, never mind. Umm, I was just testing to see if I could talk to you. So… you can really understand me!"

The snake tilted its head slightly, as if assessing him, before giving a small nod.

"Incredible… um, do you have a name?"

The snake shook its head, still watching him with curious intensity.

"Oh, I see. Well, how about I call you… Argentum?" Adam asked, the name popping into his head because it meant silver, reflecting the snake's color and, ironically, the colors of both Slytherin and the Malfoy family.

Adam thought he was terrible at naming things, but it seemed fitting enough.

The snake simply nodded again, which frustrated Adam a little. He had hoped it would say more, but for some reason, Argentum didn't seem to be much of a talker.

Still, Adam continued the conversation, quickly moving on to other topics. He spent the next several minutes asking Argentum all sorts of questions, learning about its short life so far and other interesting details—like how much the snake hated being confined. Adam promised he'd let it out soon.

It was, without a doubt, one of the strangest experiences Adam had ever had, even compared to magic itself. But at the same time, it was incredibly entertaining.

Being able to talk to a snake made him feel like a comic book character with special powers—though, to be fair, magic already had that effect.

But this?

This was something else entirely. Just awesome

Hey, author here,

So, I wanted to talk to you my dear readers about is Adam's upcoming movie roles. Naturally I already have some things in mind that I'm not going to change, but there are some stuff that I haven't defined yet and I'd like to get your comments.

For example, I plan to bring the filming of Harry Potter forward by a year since it's kind of like the butterfly effect of Adam's grandmother being involved. But by doing this there are some doubts regarding the casting.

I thought about keeping the same cast with Daniel, Rupert, Emma, etc... but they all would be a year younger. Also, I pondered the possibility of changing some actors like Emma for Hatty Jones (Madeline's), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) for Robin Williams, etc.

And lastly what role should I give to Adam, I was interested in making him take the role of Draco in the movies since he is literally him in the wizarding world but naturally I would give him a more important role by adding more scenes from the Draco of the books and giving him more of a starring role as Harry's kinda rival. Otherwise I could go the normal route and have him take Harry's role or it might even be fun if he took Ron's (but I really like Rupert as Ron).

Well, that's all for today. I hope you can give me some ideas and opinions regarding all this and I will be reading everything you guys write to make up my mind on what to do. I still have time until this happens, but I want to define it.

Oh and I hope everyone likes the chapter, cheers and enjoy your day.
