Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 231: link to the military

"It's an honor to have an important member of the Dreadborne Organization here," a female voice said as Jake stepped out of his docked spaceship.

Standing before him was a woman in full military uniform. Her figure was sharp, her posture upright, and her aura wasn't weak.

She was also at the Galaxy Realm—just like Jake.

But to Jake, her presence felt feeble. Even though he had only just broken through to the Galaxy Realm, he was confident he could defeat her easily—despite her being at the High Galaxy Realm.

"Alright, I bet you are. I'm here to find someone," Jake said casually, and the woman frowned slightly.

"Let's head to my office," she said with a forced smile, turning around. Jake followed without another word.

When they were out of sight, the remaining soldiers immediately began murmuring among themselves.

"Is that what a Cosmic Executioner looks like?" one soldier asked, stunned.

"I know, right? He seems like he's just at the Early Galaxy Realm, but his aura… it's way stronger than Commander Hailey's—and she's High Galaxy Realm," another added, causing everyone to fall silent with awe.

"How is that even possible? Did Commander Hailey force her breakthrough?" someone else questioned.

"Come on, she's only 18 this year! She's a genius. The rest of us won't reach the Galaxy Realm until we're at least 500," a soldier sighed. He'd been stuck at the Low Planetary Realm for over 200 years.

"If what you're saying is true... then he—and the Dreadborne Organization—just became way more mysterious," another whispered solemnly.

Elsewhere, Hailey and Jake walked in silence. Neither had much to say. They didn't know each other—different origins, different worlds. Still, Hailey believed the Dreadborne Organization was part of the Federation.

At least… that's what she—and most of the Federation—thought.

After several silent greetings and salutes from various soldiers and squads, they finally arrived at her office.

"Please," Hailey said, gesturing as Jake stepped in.

She took her seat and logged into her supercomputer.

"Take a seat and tell me the name of the person you're looking for," Hailey said.

"I don't have a name. I'll just show you," Jake said as he opened his palm, constructing a face out of energy.

"Oh…" Hailey murmured as she captured the image and ran a scan.

{Searching...} {Not found}

Within moments, the result was clear: no matches.

"Sorry, but he's not one of us," Hailey said, and Jake frowned.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Yes."

Jake tapped his finger on the armrest, thinking.

"This is the core of the Federation. Close to the military… Are you authorized to access the entire military database?" he asked.

Hailey hesitated. "Let me ask my superior."

"Alright."

She made the call, exchanged a few words, and then smiled faintly as she hung up.

"I have permission now." She began a deeper search.

"Good. Search for those who applied to the military and failed… or anyone serving as a private soldier in a personal army or secret squad under a general," Jake instructed.

Hailey paused.

That kind of search was highly restricted—something no outsider should even know existed. And the way this man spoke, as if he were above her, grated on her nerves. It was infuriating.

Still, her superior had ordered her to fulfill all his demands with a smile.

She gritted her teeth.

"Okay. Give me a moment."

She typed away, and then something appeared.

"Found him. And… oh."

She froze.

"What is it? You said you found him," Jake said.

"He's the right hand of General Darius," she said, stunned.

"And that is…?" Jake pressed, feeling a wave of unease.

"The fifth-born. The Fourth Prince. General Darius Umbraxis," Hailey said slowly.

Jake narrowed his eyes. "I need to meet him. Where is he? Or better yet—he needs to come to me."

Hailey's expression shifted sharply.

"Are you insane? A general… a prince, meeting you? You're just a Galaxy Realm being, and that 'Cosmic Executioner' title only matters in your organization. Here in the military, you're nothing. He's not just a general—he's royalty! And you expect him to come to you?"

She was disgusted.

Hailey had worked hard for years to catch General Darius's attention—to earn a place in his private army. She'd fallen for him. After all, he was the youngest general in history.

To become a general required massive merit—and at least Peak Galaxy Realm strength.

He had both.

He was 16.

She was 18.

He was a general.

She was still just a commander.

"I'm sorry, what? I can't do that," Hailey said coldly, looking Jake directly in the eye.

"I won't ask again. Tell him to come meet me," Jake replied calmly.

Hailey stood up.

"And so what? Get out. Out of the military base!" she snapped, her patience at its limit.

He might be a Cosmic Executioner of the Dreadborne—but she was a commander of the Federation military.

Jake tilted his head, smiling faintly.

"Is that you speaking… or the military?"

"OUT!"

Suddenly, her head throbbed, vision fading. Jake's palm gripped her face tightly.

"You're just a commander. I don't care what your position is. When the Dreadborne gives an order—you follow. I don't care who the target is. If we call, you answer. Got it?" Jake said, increasing the pressure.

Hailey gasped, her energy draining fast. She was dizzy—weakened.

"How… how is this possible? An Early Galaxy Realm being... making me this weak?" she thought in shock.

"There's a heaven above heaven. A sea above a river. Know your place," Jake muttered, releasing her.

She collapsed against her desk, gasping for breath.

Jake hadn't intended to go that far, but his hatred for humans—and her attitude—nearly made him snap.

He'd doubted his own power before. He thought he was merely the strongest Early Galaxy Realm being.

But now… attacking her confirmed it.

She was High Galaxy Realm, and she was nothing to him.

Just then, as Hailey stood shocked and humiliated, a deep male voice echoed through the room.

"It isn't very nice… to treat a military commander like that."
