Pei Yixie knew that this was the limit of her brother's tolerance. If they continue to push their luck, they might end up with nothing. Seeing that Fu Guai still wanted to bargain, she quickly pulled at his hand and shook her head.

Feeling the pull, Fu Guai turned to her and asked, 'What are you doing?'

Leaning closer, Pei Yixie said, "Brother Fu, you should stop while you are ahead."

Although he didn't understand why he should stop when he still had words to say, he still chose to listen to her.

After a brief conversation, Jin Xuyan handed his point card to Pei Yixie and said, "Use this card to buy the condo."

The two of them rode a bicycle, but due to the high number of people walking to their workplaces, it took them forty minutes to reach the reservoir area.

When the guards saw them, they quickly opened the gate and said, "Good morning, Captain Jin. Good morning, Comrade Jiao. We have been waiting for you two."

As usual, she stored the bicycle in her space before they walked toward the dam area. Today, the number of ability-users providing water was more than yesterday.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, the door was finally opened, and Jiao Lizhi walked out with Jin Xuyan. Behind them, the dam's water levels had already reached the maximum.

The guards quickly went to check the situation after they left the reservoir area. The moment they saw the water surface had reached the edge of the dam, they were stunned.

One has to know that this dam could hold around 4.5 million liters of water. Just from the amount of water Jiao Lizhi could provide in several hours, they could guess that she must be at least a level-four water-type ability-user, if not a level-five ability-user.

Not knowing that the guards were overestimating her, Jiao Lizhi and Jin Xuyan were on their way to visit Xun Che. Thirty minutes later, they reached the Central Office Building.

The moment the guards saw them, they quickly informed Xun Che and led them to the office. Not long after, the two of them walked into the office.

Seeing them coming, Xun Che walked over to the couch, gestured for them to take a seat, and asked, "Jin Xuyan, it's rare for you to visit me. Do you need anything?"

"While we can replace the water source by hiring the water-type ability-users, we still need to find uncontaminated soil to plant crops. Depending on the available supplies is only a short-term solution," Jiao Lizhi said.

"We also realized the importance of finding soil and already sent several teams to bring back soil samples from the area near the border of Lin'an Base. But until today, none of the soil can be used," Xun Che replied with a sigh.

After a moment of silence, Jin Xuyan asked, "Have you tried the hydroponic farming method?"
