Not long after, they heard Xun Che's voice coming from inside, "Come in."

Opening the door, the three of them walked into the room. Besides Xun Che, there were three people who were also present.

Standing on the other side of the low table, a woman reached out her hand and said, "Captain Jin, long time no see."

"Long time no see, Captain Feng," Jin Xuyan replied as he shook her hand.

The two of them only shook hands for two seconds before they let go and took their seats.

Sitting across from him, Feng Xiu glanced at Jiao Lizhi and said, "I had heard about your engagement, but I didn't believe it until I saw it today."

Jin Xuyan let out a chuckle and replied casually, "Well, my news is less shocking than the news about you returning to the military and even having a boyfriend. I thought that after you joined politics, you would never pick up your gun again."

Feng Xiu let out a sigh and said, "You know that I never wanted to join politics."

Hearing this, Jin Xuyan only smiled but said nothing. Watching them exchange words, Xun Che took a sip of his instant coffee leisurely.
