Chapter 3: Chapter 1 Brick Breaks Martial Art (Middle)_1
This is the second chapter of the day. From now on, I promise to update at least two chapters daily.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Qi Yue moved much faster than YanXiaoyi had anticipated. When his block of brick shattered on YanXiaoyi's head, YanXiaoyi finally comprehended what it meant for a flower to be so red. His body softened, and before he had time to display his Northern Leg King kung-fu, he was knocked down by Qi Yue's brick. Blood streamed from his head.
Field Mouse, having rushed forward while shouting slogans, was a bit slower in movement, but his brick hit without ambiguity. He struck YanXiaoyi with it. Qi Yue's brick had broken, but he still had fists. How could he let such an opportunity for release slip away? The two, one fat and one thin, were waving fists and brick like raindrops, causing YanXiaoyi to scream. Fortunately, he knew to curl his body and protect his head with his hands. Despite YanXiaoyi being brought down by Qi Yue's unscrupulous tactics, it had to be said, Qi Yue's combat experience was indeed much more extensive.
Nana was clearly startled by the scene before her. At that moment, a scream filled the air, "Murder!", from a girl who has just come out of the school.
Qi Yue and Field Mouse were enjoying themselves beating up YanXiaoyi when they heard this octave-high scream. They were taken aback. The animalistic bloodlust they had felt ebbed significantly. On seeing YanXiaoyi, blood was streaming from his head, and his branded sportswear was smeared strangely with dust and blood from the ground. Although his body was still convulsing, there was no hint of fight left in him. The word "murder" flew through Qi Yue's and Field Mouse's minds, causing them to exchange glances and stop their actions immediately. Though they were small-time hooligans who had rampaged outside freely, when it came to murder, it was something they never dared to think about.
"Bo...Boss, what should we do? This kid might really die." Field Mouse's small eyes reflected a hint of panic.
"What should we do? We've already hit him so if there's any issue, I'll bear it alone." Given Qi Yue's extensive combat experience, he knew that the school security would likely arrive soon. Without any hesitation, he tugged YanXiaoyi's pants down and began wrapping it around the bleeding head. Now in early summer, YanXiaoyi only had on underwear beneath his pants. Seeing him half-naked, Qi Yue kicked him hard causing YanXiaoyi's body to convulse violently. "Let's go."
After a fierce glance at Nana, Qi Yue and Field Mouse took to their heels. Qi Yue had no intention of patching things up with Nana. This woman had shown her true colours. How could he want a woman who treated men as a revolving door? She got off one and immediately hopped onto another. Today, he targeted YanXiaoyi only to vent his anger. However, as he pondered, he couldn't help but miss Nana. As a small-time hooligan, at least in terms of fantasizing and theoretical experience, Qi Yue had some potential.
Qi Yue and Field Mouse ran swiftly, distancing themselves from the school grounds in no time. They stopped in a quiet corner. Qi Yue's expression relaxed considerably, but confusion seeped in. Although his anger was vented, he didn't feel as happy as he thought he would, instead, his heart ached. After all, Nana was his first love! Even though nothing substantial had happened between them, in Qi Yue's heart, his first love had been totally ruined.
"Boss, did we hit that kid too hard? I didn't expect him to be all bark and no bite. He was floored after a few hits, couldn't even muster the strength to fight back. Such a weakling."
Qi Yue snorted, saying, "Field mouse, remember, the Brick Breaks Martial Art is a timeless truth. Just catch him off guard, and that so-called Northern Leg King is nothing but hot air."
Field mouse said, "Boss, I always wanted to ask you, why don't we use machetes? Machetes are much cooler, and their power is great."
Qi Yue said somewhat proudly, "You don't understand, machetes are controlled weapons, bricks are different, even if you are caught, it's a minor offense. Also, bricks are readily available and easier to use. Big guy, that's experience. Now, go home, your boss needs to run. I guess even if YanXiaoyi survived, he'd lose a thick layer of skin. I heard that his dad is indeed a city official, so if I don't run now, I might not get a chance. You're different, you just need to go home, and you'll be fine."
Field mouse's family background was quite different from Qi Yue's. He wasn't an orphan. On the contrary, he had a wealthy and influential father. He didn't even know how wealthy his father was. He joined Qi Yue's gang simply because he had no interest in studying. Despite being enrolled in a prestigious high school, he, in his first year, skived school every day to hang out with Qi Yue. He met Qi Yue by accident, witness to Qi Yue's King's Aura as he single-handedly defeated three gang members from another block. From that day on, Field Mouse recognized him as his Boss.
"Boss, where will you go?" asked Field Mouse nervously.
Qi Yue patted him on his sturdy shoulder, "Rest assured, I've been through plenty of incidents like this. Although the situation has escalated this time, it's not a big problem to escape. But, this time I might need to go farther away, I won't be able to return to the Capital City for a while. Go to school for a few days, under such good conditions, it would be a shame if you didn't. Honestly, I quite admire those who are wise. However, even if I tried hard in high school, I still couldn't pursue higher education post 18 without money."
"Boss, here's something for you." While speaking, Field Mouse fumbled out a brand new cell phone from his bag and handed it to Qi Yue. "I just grinded it out of my mom. You take it, so I can contact you. Oh, right, Boss, take this card as well." Then, he took out a Dragon card from the Construction Bank and handed it to Qi Yue. "I'll be sixteen soon. My dad had someone make an ID card for me in advance and got this card. There's 20,000 yuan in it. The password is my birthday, use it for now. If you need more, call me, I'll figure out how to transfer money to you."
Stunned, Qi Yue stared at Field Mouse, "What are you doing?" His face reddened and he choked back the warmth in his eyes, pushing back the phone and card into Field Mouse's hand, "I can't take it. The incident today was my fault, how can I take your stuff? Don't worry, your boss is very good at surviving; I won't die."
Field Mouse refused to take it back and insisted, "No, Boss, you must take this. Oh, right, I heard from my dad, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway has opened, and the scenery in Tibet is supposed to be amazing, and it's far away from Capital City. Why don't you go there and lay low? Pretend it's a vacation. If you spend 20,000 yuan frugally, you could probably last a month. I'll beg my dad when I get home, as soon as things settle down, I'll call you. Boss, if you're going to go, you should do it soon to avoid trouble. I'm off." Saying this, he turned to run before Qi Yue could push his items back to him.
Qi Yue considered chasing him but ultimately decided against it. After all, this 20,000 yuan was crucial to him. Orphanage had kicked him out long ago because of his bad behavior. Now he barely survived on his monthly social security subsidy, living in a basement, not to mention savings, even his daily meals were a problem. When his brick hit YanXiaoyi's head earlier, he distinctly heard a sound of cracking bones. That wouldn't be a minor injury. God forbid he died, for at nineteen, he was no longer protected by the juvenile law. The mere thought of death sent deep fear down Qi Yue's spine, and he couldn't believe that he could die a virgin!
Watching Field Mouse's not-so-fast retreating figure, a certain feeling came over Qi Yue, he muttered to himself, "Good bro, consider this a loan. If I can pay you back, I will do so a thousand times over." He dug out a cheap cigarette from his pocket and put it in his mouth, only to realize that he had lost his lighter when he tried to light it up.
