Zenless Zone Zero: Gacha Master

Chapter 88: The Real Beelzebul

After finishing dinner at the buffet, Sol Mercer slept especially peacefully.

In his dreams, Hoshimi Miyabi was pressed into an ahegao by his invincible technique, Anby gave birth to a whole company for him as his loyal comrade, Nicole happily counted stacks of green hats while laughing over her money, and Bear One and Bear Two went mad earning wealth for him…

Suddenly, a beam of light shone across Sol's face, pulling him from that very entertaining dream.

"Strange… why did that dream feel so weird?"

Sol thought about the bears digging mines in his dream, feeling a bit of a headache.

It had been a perfect happy ending, until those two silly bears ruined it for him.

But whatever—time to start his daily gacha draw as usual.

Sol skillfully opened the system panel and tapped the free daily pull.

"Blue is fine, just give me a blue…"

As Sol muttered under his breath, a golden glow suddenly burst forth.

"Eh-hey?" Sol stared in shock at the golden card. "A gold pull?! Did I really sleep for ten extra days and hit the 30-day guarantee already?"

He pulled out his phone. The date showed July 19th. Yesterday had been July 18th.

Which meant—this wasn't a pity pull. This was sheer luck.

"Ohohoho! Wahahaha!"

Sol laughed until his face twisted, unable to contain his excitement.

After all these years, it was finally his turn for good fortune!

Could it be that he had the bloodline of an arch-lucky one, only now awakened?

"Let's see what this golden card actually is!"

With trembling hands, Sol examined it.

The card gleamed with golden patterns, its texture exuding an air of quality.

[True Beelzebul: A small Bangboo, with great power. Immensely strong. Within one hundred meters of its master, grants an additional 50% electric damage and provides its master with Electromagnetic Control LV5.]

[Raiden Ei used divine power and exquisite craftsmanship to create a doll of her elder sister, embedding her longing within. One day the doll disappeared, and under mysterious influence, Her sister's 'True' soul attached itself to it.]

Sol activated the golden card and found himself staring at a chibi-sized Raiden Shogun.

Purple kimono, violet hair, a delicate and springy little face, her tiny body looked irresistibly cute.

In short, it was a Paimon-sized Raiden Shogun.

This description… this power… seemed a little too much.

He had essentially pulled the doll Ei had crafted in remembrance of her sister—and somehow this tiny thing had actually absorbed Raiden Makoto's remnant soul. That was a huge deal.

Still, "True Beelzebul" was a rather fitting name.

[Electromagnetic Control LV5]—comparable to Misaka Mikoto's ability. Mastered well, it could bring destruction on the scale of demolishing buildings.

Of course, that still paled compared to the extra 50% electric damage.

This meant that as long as this Bangboo stayed within a hundred meters, his attacks would carry an additional fifty percent electric damage—effectively increasing his destructive power by half.

And this boost had no cap. That alone explained her golden rarity.

What's more, this little thing's strength wasn't to be underestimated. She was nearly on par with him—Void Hunter level in her base state.

"Hello?"

Sol tentatively greeted the little one.

Since it was a system summon, it had already been bound to him. He was now her sole master.

"Greetings, my master."

True Beelzebul's voice was clear and pleasant, carrying a soothing gentleness.

"Are you… Raiden Makoto, from Teyvat?"

Sol asked curiously.

"Something like that." The small Bangboo nodded. "I don't understand why I, who should have been long dead, am revived in this form. But you are now my master."

She had died five hundred years ago—her memories remained of that distant Inazuma.

Yet, just before being summoned here, she had glimpsed her younger sister sitting idly in a small dark room.

How troublesome. Wasn't she supposed to be developing Inazuma? How could she just turn into a shut-in?

"That's really incredible." Sol couldn't help but marvel at the system's absurdity.

Even a soul from another world five hundred years ago could be merged with Ei's puppet, then delivered to him as a Bangboo.

This power was truly broken.

"By the way, what should I call you?"

Sol asked, looking troubled.

True Beelzebul answered earnestly. "You are my master. Call me whatever you wish."

Summoned here, she already bore Sol's mark. Whatever he chose to do with her, she would accept.

"Then, how about 'Little Makoto' or 'Baal'? You can choose one."

Sol suggested after a moment's thought.
