You’re Supposed To Be The Villain, But You Effortlessly Win Over The Female Leads?

Chapter 46:

Chapter 46:

Jiang Nan grew desperate.

“Xiao Feng! How can you misunderstand us like this?”

“Ah yes, yes, yes,” Jiang Feng replied dismissively.

“Xiao Feng, what kind of attitude is that? This is serious!”

“Ah yes, yes, yes, whatever you say,” Jiang Feng continued in the same indifferent tone, frustrating Jiang Nan, who was left speechless.

Even Jiang Nan’s usual calm and gentle demeanor started to crack. His voice rose in anger. “Xiao Feng, you’re spreading lies! Have you even thought about my mother? She’s been with your family for years, taking care of you! Don’t you know what gratitude is? Can’t you even understand the meaning of that word?”

Jiang Feng stared at him, perplexed. “Gratitude? For what? If anything, I feel like finding a sack to throw over your head and giving you both a good beating. What gratitude do I owe you? Do you even understand Mandarin?”

The previous version of Jiang Feng—the one everyone knew—used to bottle up his feelings and avoid confrontation. But this new Jiang Feng was different. Though he still appeared lazy and disinterested on the surface, he now openly expressed his disdain for Jiang Nan.

He didn’t just show his dislike—he made it very clear why he felt that way. The rest of the crew in the car quietly sided with Jiang Feng. If what he said was true, anyone would be angry in his situation. His mother had passed away less than a year ago, and now his father was with the nurse who had cared for her? Most people would react even worse.

The car’s atmosphere grew tense.

After a few minutes, it came to a stop.

“We’ve arrived at the village gate,” the female choreographer announced, trying to break the tension. “Xiao Feng, let’s do a solo interview before we head into the village.”

“Alright.” Jiang Feng agreed.

Jiang Feng followed her out of the car and went to a small corner for the interview.

One-on-one interviews were a crucial part of the show, often the most anticipated by the audience. This segment was where true personalities were revealed, and Jiang Feng’s relationship with Jiang Nan had already become a focal point for the program.

The female choreographer hesitated but asked the burning question, “Xiao Feng, do you hate Jiang Nan? Is this how you communicate at home too?”

The strained relationship between Jiang Feng and Jiang Nan had already captured the crew’s attention, and this moment would become a key part of the show. Although the choreographer felt bad asking something so personal, she knew it was important for the story.

Jiang Feng didn’t hesitate. “Yeah, I remember when I was packing my luggage, he told me, ‘So what if it’s my dad? Now that my dad’s married to my mom, you can act like you hate us all you want, but he won’t divorce her. Dad doesn’t even love you.'”

Jiang Feng’s skin was a healthy pale, glowing in the sunlight. His delicate features were accentuated by thick eyebrows, and his slender eyes conveyed a hidden strength. Though his posture—crossed legs and casual movements—seemed relaxed, the way he nervously clutched the edge of his shirt hinted at his inner turmoil.

“Anyway… I don’t need a father anymore,” Jiang Feng muttered, his neck stiffening and his eyelashes trembling. “He calls me trash every day. My opinion doesn’t matter to him. I don’t need a father now that I’m grown.”

“Xiao Feng, how is your relationship with your father?” the female choreographer asked gently, though the question was tough.

She knew it might be painful, but the script demanded it. “Why did you agree to come on Metamorphosis? You said in the car you didn’t sign up voluntarily.”

“Of course not!” Jiang Feng practically growled, his tone sharp as a lion’s. “It was Jiang Nan who signed me up! And he convinced my dad—or rather, he convinced Jiang Yuan. He made it sound like coming here would help me ‘reflect on my life.’ And what did my dad do? He listened to him! He never listens to me!”

“Why doesn’t your father listen to you?”

“That’s not my dad!” Jiang Feng spat out.

“Okay,” the choreographer said softly, “then why doesn’t Mr. Jiang listen to you?”

Her voice had softened considerably. Any doubts she had during the car ride had disappeared. Now, her sympathy was fully with Jiang Feng.
