Will this story have a romance? The quick answer is yes. But not until the MC is 18. So, I only have two options.

Paige Swanson (Young Sheldon)

Leslie Burke (Bridge to Terabithia)

Personally, I prefer the first option. It would be interesting because we don't know much more about Paige. That's why we can innovate a lot.

As for whether you find any similarities with other Sheldon fanfictions, I must say I took their ideas and adapted them to this novel, which I abandoned last year. I hope you like it.
