[Yes, chin up, chest out, bring out that aura of dominance.]
[That's it, that unshakable arrogance that looks down on everyone.]
[You're here to tell them that you are the king of this land.]
[Your existence is the law, and your will is absolute.]
[The name of the school tyrant will echo through the campus!]
With the system's step-by-step guidance, Ji Mu became the most eye-catching presence in the entire school in mere minutes.
Students passing by couldn't help but cast curious glances his way.
His overbearing aura made it seem as if he were ready to trample the entire world beneath his feet. Ordinary people couldn't ignore it, even if they tried.
Who the heck is this guy? We're all nobles here. What makes him think he can act like he owns the place?
But the moment their eyes landed on his custom-tailored outfit, everyone silently averted their gaze.
Then again...
Who casually strolls around in a suit worth millions? Even if you're filthy rich, that's excessive. Do you think you're the son of Jiangcheng's richest tycoon?
You can't afford to mess with him. This guy's the real deal!
[Awesome! As I expected from my host, your kingly aura alone was enough to intimidate them!]
The system, ever the enthusiastic hype man, clapped along with perfect timing.
[As long as Big Bro's spirit lives on, you'll be a powerhouse wherever you go!]
"Staying low-key... is no big deal."
Ji Mu feigned modesty, but his slightly raised chin fully embodied the arrogance and pride of a wealthy young master, his rebellious attitude radiating from within.
Neither Ji Mu nor the system seemed to understand the real reason for the situation at hand. Instead, they remained smug, basking in the illusion of their "flawless" disguise.
[Host, target spotted!]
The system suddenly spoke up, excitement in its voice.
"The female lead? Where? Where is she?"
[Right over there. Just follow me, and you're golden.]
The system had no trouble locking onto her presence with its hound-like instincts. There was nowhere for the female lead to hide.
Following the system's guidance, Ji Mu soon caught sight of her graceful silhouette.
He gathered his momentum and strode forward with the powerful gait of a dragon or tiger.
"Little mute."
Seizing the initiative, Ji Mu loudly called out, instantly drawing the attention of many nearby students, including the girl who was just about to enter the classroom.
As she turned her head, Ji Mu took advantage of the moment and slipped forward, appearing right in front of her.
He looked down at her expressionless face, slowly closing the distance between them.
Until—
BANG!
His palm slammed hard against the wall to the left of the girl, boxing her in completely within his line of sight.
With his back to the sunlight, his tall figure cast a shadow like a towering mountain. The air pressure shifted, as if a storm were about to break.
He lowered his head slightly and locked eyes with her.
"You've got some nerve."
His movements were swift and decisive.
Yu Hua didn't have time to react before she was trapped in his shadow.
The boy leaned down, tilting his body forward slightly. The familiar scent from her memories rushed toward her.
"You can speak, yet you dared to lie to me and pretend to be mute."
His warm, damp breath brushed faintly against the side of her neck.
His breathing was clear.
Even the soft rustle of fabric brushing against fabric could be heard.
A strange flutter stirred in her chest and spread outward in waves.
For a moment, she was transported back to the time after her death in her previous life.
Before leaving, the boy reached out and gently brushed his fingers across the tombstone.
The soft pads of his fingertips felt as if they were pressing against her cheek--an odd, hazy sensation that bypassed her body and stirred her soul, slowly climbing upward.
Yu Hua's throat tightened, and a powerful numbness spread throughout her body.
[Whoa!! Host, you've scared the female lead so much that she's trembling!]
At this rate, it won't be long before we start harvesting those blackening points, haha!
The system clenched its tiny fists in excitement, buzzing with energy.
[Wasn't she supposed to be cold and aloof? Mentally unshakable? Let's rip off that frosty mask of hers! Even if she ends up red-eyed and trembling like a fragile Lin Daiyu, crying and begging, don't stop! Keep going!]
?
What the hell has this weirdo been watching behind my back lately?
Ji Mu shot a strange glance at the system, which looked as if it had overdosed on something. But he didn't bother to question it.
Refocusing on the moment, he continued his heavy-handed, domineering approach.
"Speak. Still pretending to be mute?"
Yu Hua remained silent.
The scent of soapberry grew stronger in the narrow, confined space, lingering yet not overpowering.
Her gaze shifted subtly. Though the oversized glasses made the boy blend in with the crowd, they couldn't hide the superiority of his other features.
Each time his lips parted and closed, she caught a glimpse of teeth as white and smooth as milk jade.
She accidentally got a little too absorbed…
Her light, tea-colored eyes darkened slightly.
She pressed her tongue against her molars, her lashes lifting slowly, her face still wearing that ever-calm, unshaken expression.
