You Choose an Adopted Son, I Choose Madness

Chapter 32

Chapter 32: Yin Renjie, the Thief of Girls’ Underwear:

Yin Renjie could not suppress the dark desires within him. While he dared not touch the girls themselves, their clothes were another matter.

Thus, Yin Renjie often took advantage of the evening study sessions to sneak into the girls’ dormitory laundry area. There, he would steal the undergarments of female students. For years, rumors had circulated among the girls about a thief targeting their underwear. However, the school had never paid much attention to these rumors. After all, no serious incidents had occurred, and the school assumed the girls had simply misplaced their belongings.

In a previous life, Yin Renjie’s secret was only exposed half a year later. A teacher accidentally opened the top drawer of his desk, and a pile of colorful girls’ undergarments spilled out. It was then that Yin Renjie’s true nature as a pervert was revealed.

As for why he kept these stolen items in his desk drawer at school, it was said that Yin Renjie wanted easy access to them so he could indulge his twisted desires whenever he pleased.

Now, Su Chen pretended to slump weakly in Yin Renjie’s chair, his eyes subtly scanning the drawers of the desk. The second and third drawers were slightly ajar, revealing stacks of papers and books. But the top drawer was tightly shut. Fortunately, it was not locked.

As Su Chen discreetly observed the desk, Yin Renjie was busy anxiously explaining himself to the other teachers.

“I didn’t hit Su Chen!” he insisted. “I was just frustrated with his behavior. I only gave him a light tap. How was I to know he would collapse? His health must be terrible!”

Yin Renjie’s face was filled with genuine concern, and the other teachers believed him. After all, Yin Renjie had often sacrificed his lunch breaks to discipline this troublesome student. How could such a dedicated teacher possibly harm a student?

“Don’t worry, Teacher Yin, we believe you,” one teacher reassured him.

“Yes, we all know how much effort you’ve put into helping this student,” another added.

Hearing their words, Yin Renjie breathed a sigh of relief. The crisis had been averted. If rumors spread that he had struck a student, his career in education would be ruined. No promotions, no raises—his reputation would be destroyed. From now on, he decided, he would only reprimand Su Chen verbally. It might not be as satisfying, but it was necessary to protect his career.

Just then, Su Chen slid weakly off the chair. His arms flailed as if trying to grab something to stop his fall. His hand caught the handle of the top drawer.

Yin Renjie, who had turned to check on Su Chen, froze in horror. He knew what was inside that drawer. If it were opened, his life would be over.

Panicking, Yin Renjie rushed toward Su Chen. The other teachers, noticing his expression, also turned in alarm. They assumed Su Chen had fainted again and prepared to carry him to the infirmary.

Yin Renjie was quick, but two teachers stood between him and Su Chen. He had to maneuver around them, wasting precious seconds. Before he could stop him, Su Chen’s body slid to the floor, and his hand pulled the drawer open.

A cascade of colorful girls’ undergarments—red, pink, yellow—spilled out, some even falling to the ground.

Yin Renjie stood paralyzed, his mind blank. It was over.

The other teachers were equally stunned. Why did Teacher Yin have so many women’s undergarments in his desk? The rumors about missing underwear suddenly made sense.

Su Chen, no longer appearing weak, sprang to his feet.

“What… what is this?!” he shouted, pointing at the drawer. “These are girls’ underwear! Teacher Yin, why do you have these? The girls in my class have been complaining about missing clothes. Are you the thief?!”

Yin Renjie could only stare blankly, his body rigid.

The teachers exchanged glances. This scandal had to be contained. If word got out that a teacher at their prestigious school was stealing girls’ underwear, the school’s reputation would be ruined. Parents would pull their children out, and the institution would collapse.

Su Chen, however, had no intention of letting this be swept under the rug. In his past life, the school had tried to cover up the incident but failed. If they succeeded this time, Yin Renjie would face no consequences. That was unacceptable.

In one swift motion, Su Chen grabbed a handful of the undergarments, leaped past the teachers, and bolted out of the office.

“I’m going to show these to the girls in my class!” he shouted as he ran. “Teacher Yin always says I don’t get along with my classmates. Well, now I’m helping them!”

The teachers chased after him, their glasses askew, pleading in hushed tones.

“Su Chen, calm down! Maybe these aren’t your classmates’ clothes!”

“Let’s return these to Teacher Yin and discuss this properly!”

“Su Chen, come back to the office!”

But Su Chen ignored them, running faster. In his hands, the colorful undergarments fluttered in the wind, while behind him, the frantic teachers struggled to keep up.
