You Choose an Adopted Son, I Choose Madness

Chapter 28

Chapter 28: Using a Toilet Brush to Scrub Su Qiqi’s Mouth:

After returning to his room, Su Chen immediately apologized to his livestream viewers, explaining that he wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t be picking up trash for the next few days.

Even though the audience couldn’t hear what had been said in the living room, they had seen him getting hit. Naturally, they were sympathetic.

“Host, it’s okay! Take care of yourself first. Trash can wait.”

“Yeah, don’t worry about us! You’ve already been beaten, and you’re still thinking about us… I’m so touched…”

Su Chen chatted with them for a bit longer before closing the livestream.

Then, hugging his eight bank cards tightly, he drifted into a deep, satisfied sleep.

He slept soundly until the evening.

When he woke up and checked the time, he realized it was dinnertime. Rubbing his grumbling stomach, he decided to head downstairs to eat.

By the time Su Chen arrived at the dining room, everyone in the Su family was already there except for Su Lili, who was still working overtime at the company.

He had no interest in greeting anyone and went straight to the dining table.

Looking at the dinner spread, he was quite satisfied.

Tonight’s meal consisted of fried rice, stir-fried pancakes, lobster, salmon salad, chopped pepper fish head, fried yellow croaker, and a few vegetable dishes.

Ignoring the stares from the other family members, Su Chen casually picked up a bowl, served himself some stir-fried pancakes, added a few side dishes, and began eating.

At that moment, Su Qiqi decided to put on her usual dinnertime performance.

Dinner was the only time the Su family gathered together, and Su Qiqi loved using it as an opportunity to “educate” Su Chen—which was really just an excuse to belittle and humiliate him.

In the past, Su Chen had endured this treatment silently, hoping to gain his family’s approval. Whenever he couldn’t take it anymore, he would simply leave the table without saying a word.

Tonight, however, Su Qiqi was already seething with resentment. Not only had she failed to set Su Chen up earlier, but she had also been exposed instead. Worse yet, Su Mu had gleefully shared all the embarrassing details of Su Chen’s latest antics.

She couldn’t wait to tear into him.

“Su Chen, do you have no manners at all?”

“Mom and Dad are sitting right here, and you started eating without even greeting them!”

“Even if you grew up in an orphanage and never had parents to teach you proper etiquette, that’s no excuse.”

“You’re back in the Su family now! You live with Mom and Dad! How can you still act like some uncultured street rat?”

“The least you could do is greet them and show some gratitude for raising you!”

Her words earned the silent approval of Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanyan.

Though they didn’t say anything, the way they looked at Su Chen made it clear—they were waiting for him to acknowledge them and express his appreciation.

Su Qiqi smirked triumphantly, first glancing at her parents, then at Su Chen.

Su Chen, do you really think you can escape my grasp?

I’ll make you regret ever crossing me!

I’ll make sure you understand—you can’t afford to offend me!

Just as she was about to continue her “lesson,” Su Chen suddenly put down his bowl and stopped eating.

Without even glancing at anyone, he stood up and walked out of the dining room.

Su Qiqi was even more pleased with herself.

She thought he had been shamed into leaving, just like always.

With a smug expression, she shot Su Mu a look that said, “See? Your second sister still has the upper hand!”

Su Mu, making sure their parents couldn’t see, gave her a thumbs-up in admiration.

Meanwhile, Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanyan were visibly displeased.

All she had done was state the obvious—asking him to greet his parents was hardly unreasonable.

And yet, Su Chen had the audacity to just walk away?

Did he seriously think he shouldn’t have to show them respect?

But since he was already gone, there was no point ruining dinner over it. With a dark expression, Su Zhenxing simply told everyone to eat.

Su Qiqi, basking in her victory, continued her meal.

Su Mu, feeling just as pleased, thought the food tasted even better tonight.

What neither of them realized was that Su Chen hadn’t left because he lost his appetite.

He just thought Su Qiqi’s mouth was too filthy and needed a good scrubbing.

So, he headed straight to the bathroom… and found a toilet brush.

Picking it up, he inspected it carefully to make sure it wasn’t too clean.

Satisfied, he grinned.

Hiding the toilet brush behind his back, he returned to the dining room.

Su Qiqi was the first to notice his return.

She raised an eyebrow in surprise.

In the past, Su Chen had always either stayed silent or run away from her taunts.

Tonight, he had indeed run away—but now he was back?

Had he actually grown a backbone?

Well, that was fine.

If he was foolish enough to come back, she would gladly humiliate him again.

Without even putting down her chopsticks, she opened her mouth, ready to resume scolding him.

At the same time, Su Zhenxing and Liu Yanyan frowned at Su Chen.

If he would just greet them and show some gratitude, everything would be fine!

Why was he being so stubborn?

The dining room fell silent the moment Su Chen walked back in.

Su Qiqi, however, was merely gathering momentum for another outburst.

But Su Chen paid no attention to her.

With his hands behind his back, he walked straight up to her.

Su Qiqi smirked.

Oh? Did he come back just to get scolded again?

Since he was so eager, it would be rude of her not to oblige.

Turning to face him, she shot him a condescending look, about to start her usual tirade.

But before she could say a word—

Su Chen suddenly brought his hand forward, shoving something straight toward her mouth.

Startled, she flinched.

She couldn’t quite see what it was, but she instinctively knew it wasn’t anything good.

She tried to close her mouth—

But Su Chen was faster.

Gripping her chin with one hand, he forced her mouth open.

Now, whether she could shut it or not was no longer up to her.

With one hand holding her jaw in place, he used the other to push the object inside.

And then he started scrubbing.

Back and forth. Up and down.

Su Qiqi was horrified.

Something rough and bristly filled her mouth, moving around wildly.

Then came the smell.

A putrid, stomach-churning stench.

Realizing what it was, her eyes widened in absolute terror.

A toilet brush!

Not only had she seen it before—she had used it before!
