Chapter 27: What Happened Last Night?
These days, the weather in Montana has been rainy and evidently cold.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Inside the room where Dante was sleeping, a phone kept vibrating.
"Silence, silence, stop making noise. I'll wake up in a bit; don't bother me."
Dante, who was lying on a large white bed, murmured quietly and reached out with his hand to find the vibrating phone.
"Hmm? Why can't I move?" Dante thought to himself.
Dazed, Dante opened his eyes.
Since it was early, the room was still dark. Dante, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing, stared at Susie, who was on top of his naked body while still asleep. His gaze stopped on the woman's face, trying to figure out if she was really the woman who had been his drug supplier.
"I wish I could think this didn't happen," Dante reflected helplessly to himself.
After starting to drink while admiring the success of his pub, he had to stay up late because his brother still hadn't given him an answer.
But the drinks were much stronger than he had anticipated, and he got carried away by the excitement of the party.
Susie also got caught up in it. She was a beautiful woman whom Dante obviously felt attracted to, but he definitely wouldn't have gotten involved with her sexually if he hadn't been drunk.
There was no smile on his face. Instead, Dante had a serious look on his face.
As Dante was considering what stance to take regarding the sudden situation, Susie suddenly opened her eyes and stared at Dante as she started to regain her sobriety.
She was also surprised. She looked at Dante, apparently without clothes, and her mind immediately went to what had happened the previous night.
"This shouldn't have happened." Susie murmured as she sat up on the bed.
Dante was a man, so after accepting what he had done, he said, "Well, what's done is done. When do we get married?"
"What?"
"I'm an obsessive person; I'll definitely take responsibility for my actions and marry you." Dante wasn't kidding, of course. He didn't know this woman well enough to be sure she was someone worth taking care of, but Susie wasn't someone who could be overlooked.
He realized she would be ideal for growing his strength, and together, they would be unstoppable.
Susie was initially shocked, but then she regained her composure and said, "Do you think that just because we slept together one night we should get married? Stop being so childish; that wouldn't work."
"Do you believe in love? I think it's trash that weakens us. We don't need any of that to get married, and you know it." Dante said as he began to get dressed.
Of course, he wouldn't insist on the silly things he had just said.
An awkward silence followed, and Dante, who had put on his pants, approached Susie and said, "I was serious a moment ago; think about it."
Susie, who was calmer now, asked, "Do you know what I do and what you might end up doing?"
"All I know is that you wouldn't get anything better. Just think about it; I think together we would be unstoppable." Dante, with the idea of taking over the country under his influence, would need a lot of help, and Susie was perfect for handling the administration.
She, of course, would have to leave her father's business for a while, but for the first time, she would lead and grow her own wealth.
Dante had power and influence, and if he wanted, he could reach anywhere in the world.
With these connections and the necessary ambition, there would be nothing stopping them in the future.
