Chapter 32: The Queen Of Illusion (2)
"Illusions?" Bantay repeated those words in disbelief as he remarked in awe, "So illusions can go so far up to this level huh."
"Huh? What are you saying?! This is only the least that mother can do." Jim replied in displeasure as if he was talking to a fool.
Are you sure you are an S-rank beast?
Why is it that you don't know anything about illusions?
Did you really lose your memory or you really knew nothing about it?
Bantay who saw the face of his master that as if mocking him for being too incompetent found his eyebrows twitching. There was really an urge in him to smack his master at that time.
Nevertheless, he chased away that urge as he asked patiently, "Then what is the greatest thing that your mother can do?"
"Sigh, fine then. I will tell you just this once," Jim who was completely helpless to his empty-headed tamed beast said lazily, "She can materialize her illusions and vice versa, she can also turn reality into illusions. She is not the Queen of Illusion for nothing after all."
"What?!" Bantay responded in disbelief, "Is that even possible? Materializing illusions? And making reality turn into illusion? Just how did she get that kind of ability?!"
It really was inconceivable for someone to be able to materialize illusions or turn reality into illusions. If his master's mother was able to, she only needed to imagine something and it would immediately materialize and could be used as a deadly weapon or a useful tool.
She could also turn his enemy into illusions and materialize them again as her ally. That ability was really frightening. Bantay really was wondering how much World Energy was needed to use her ability.
Rumble! Rumble!
That time, however, as they were talking with each other, the weather changed yet again. Dark clouds gathered above and the rain was threatening to fall. The strong and cold wind blew past through them as they saw Charley flying to the portal.
It didn't take long for her to reach the portal and after that was done, she was sucked inside and disappeared on sight.
The rain then fell and thunder roared. Jim could still feel the sorrows of his mother as the cold wind was pushing him back.
"Mother..."
Jim could only mutter those words as he watched his mother disappearing. He then reluctantly turned around and went to the sofa where the little girl was sleeping.
Yawn.
However, just after he turned around, he saw Sheiyn who already got up from the sofa and was now sitting on there, yawning as she stretched her back. As if she just had sweet dreams and was reluctant to wake up.
"You're awake!" Jim walked closer to her and immediately greeted the other party with a bright smile.
"Yes." Sheiyn replied as she was looking around, "Where's Tita? Did she already finished treating me?"
"It seems so. Don't you feel anything in your body?" Jim replied with another question.
"Uhmm..." Sheiyn checked her body only to find out that nothing was strange, "Nothing new, maybe I will learn about it if the rays of the sun hit me."
"Is that so?" Seeing the other party who feel nothing different, he could only stop thinking about it.
"Oh right, where's Tita Charley? I still haven't thanked her." Sheiyn asked Jim again, wanting to seek Charley's presence. She knew that even though she felt nothing strange right now, her illness was already been cured for sure.
Jim however turned sad as he turned his gaze to the window and said, "She's out there."
Sheiyn tilted her head, perplexed to the other party as she said, "What do you mean by that?"
"Go look for yourself, I'm a little tired right now. I'm gonna take a nap first." Jim who felt somewhat down replied in sadness as he continued, "If you have something else to know, go ask Bantay there."
After which, he lied down on the sofa opposite the sofa where Sheiyn slept before. He closed his eyes and immediately fallen into sleep.
Sheiyn really was perplexed seeing the other party. He could only sigh deeply as she stood up from her seat and go look outside the window.
However, barely after she stood up, she immediately noticed the hostile aura coming from the outside. She immediately rushed towards the window and to her horror, things that she would never dream to see surfaced in her sight. She stepped backward and then staggered weakly to the floor as there was no more strength for her to stand up.
As she fell on the floor, she muttered in great difficulty, "M-m-mons-t-ters!"
Seeing the reaction of the girl, Bantay immediately felt a bad premonition was going to happen at any moment. He walked closer to the window to look outside and to his horror, he saw countless Semi-Demons continuously coming out from the portal, ready to cause destruction in their wake.
Bantay took a step back as cold sweat flowed down from his temple. It was already hard for him to try defeating one of them, how much more if there were a bunch of them.
He turned his gaze to his master only to find him in deep sleep. He shifted back his gaze outside the village and muttered in fluster, "W-what should I do now?!"
****
Outside the village just in front of the village gate, Sam was still complaining about the unfairness of the world. He always thought that the weak always get the scraps while the strong always get the good things.
He continuously punched the air for a while then came to a halt as he roared, "I want to beat up someone!!!!!"
The hunters in the village who was seeing their village chief who had gone into insanity cowered backward in fear, afraid that their village chief would take a peek at them and vent his anger to them.
Just as Sam was so eager to beat up someone, Jason spoke from the side, "It seems like Bathala heard your wishes."
After which, Sam instinctively took a glance to the portal only to find a couple of Semi-Demons coming out from it. A wide grin immediately surfaced on his face as he found his hands couldn't stop trembling in excitement. He took a deep breath and said in pleasure, "Yes, the world is unfair. But Bathala is never!"
Instead of worry or fear, the many hunters inside the village who were watching the commotion, found themselves heaving a huge sigh of relief when the Semi-Demons came out from the portal. As if it was the greatest gift that they had received in their lifetime.
"Wait a moment!" Sam was just about to rush there and greet the Semi-Demons when Jason suddenly stopped him.
"Huh?!!!" Immediately, Sam's face turned awful from the sudden action of the other party. "Just what is your problem, you lazy twerp!"
It's a feast you know! Why are you stopping me!
It's only a bunch of weaklings so there's no need for you to worry about anything.
Jason couldn't be bothered by the attitude of the other party, he stood up from his seat as he said grimly, "Don't you find it strange that there are Semi-Demons who were able to come out from the portal?"
"Huh?" Sam really was frustrated this time, "What is so strange about it? It's only normal for a monster to come out f...fro...m..."
Sam was just about to complain but halfway through his words, he immediately realized something was amiss. And that made him shivered.
"Yes, you finally realized it!" Jason said in utter coldness as a sword appeared on his hand, "Charley is in there and nothing could escape from her illusions..."
There was a long moment of pause before Jason continued as he gazed at the Semi-Demons that were continuously coming out from the portal,
"...Not except when the Queen of Illusion is in danger."
