Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

Chapter 211: Chapter 211: Vast Martial Will

Chapter 211: Vast Martial Will

When Lin Langtian volunteered to deal with the Primal Crimson Eagle, no one present objected. Though the creature had been dead for years, its lingering power was still formidable, and no one wanted to provoke it without reason. But if the new ruler of the northwest region, Lin Langtian, was willing to face it, they were all too happy to let him.

However, their curiosity was piqued. They wanted to see the true extent of this new ruler's strength.

High above the plaza, Lin Langtian looked at the Primal Crimson Eagle with a calm expression. He wasn't stepping in out of charity but because he coveted the eagle's bone wings—a treasure he had no intention of sharing.

Roar!

The eagle sensed his challenge and let out a piercing screech, sending a surge of crimson energy from its body as it charged toward him with powerful beats of its wings. In response, Lin Langtian evaded using his "Taiqing Sky Step," his movements light as a feather, dodging the beast's lethal strikes while launching powerful counterattacks.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of explosions echoed as man and beast clashed across the vast plaza, shockwaves rippling through the air. The crowd watched in awe, surprised that Lin Langtian could truly hold his own against such a formidable creature.

But some of the more experienced onlookers recognized that while the Primal Crimson Eagle was fierce, it was limited by its lifeless state and couldn't sustain its power for long. The intense clash might only last a short time.

Lin Langtian knew this well and continued the battle with agile, hit-and-run tactics.

After five minutes of fierce fighting, he finally seized an opening and struck the eagle with a heavy punch, sending it crashing into the ground, creating a large crater. When the dust settled, only Lin Langtian stood, and the Primal Crimson Eagle's body had disappeared.

Seeing this, the three Second Nirvana Level leaders in the plaza glanced at one another, realizing that Lin Langtian had taken possession of the eagle's remains.

Now they understood why he had volunteered to fight the Primal Crimson Eagle—he'd wanted it for himself. As a once-powerful ancient beast, the eagle's bloodline and bone wings held immense value, even if it had been dead for ages.

Some felt reluctant to let such a prize go, but they were unwilling to challenge Lin Langtian. After all, his battle with the eagle had shown his might, a force as heavy and intimidating as a mountain pressing down on their hearts.

Aware of their envy, Lin Langtian paid it no mind. With his current strength, even if everyone in the plaza joined forces, they wouldn't be able to stop him.

"Let's go check out what kind of legacy this Earth Martial Sect has," he said calmly.

Storing the Primal Crimson Eagle's remains in his inner-world mirror, Lin Langtian gestured to Mo Ying and the Golden Crow to follow him. They quickly made their way into the stone hall, where the others soon rushed in, driven by their own eagerness to explore the ruins.

Inside, the stone hall was vast, with countless interconnected corridors that gave it the feel of a labyrinth. The air was thick with the mustiness of ancient history. With the influx of people, the hall that had been silent for centuries came alive once more. Lin Langtian followed a corridor deeper into the ruins.

"Let's head straight for the main hall," he decided.

Seeing that the other rooms held little of value, they continued along the corridor, and within ten minutes reached the Earth Martial Sect's main hall. The three Second Nirvana Level warriors were already there, though they looked frustrated and confused.

One of them muttered angrily, "It's empty! Not a single treasure in sight!"

"Maybe someone got here before us. There wasn't an energy barrier around the ruins," another warrior speculated.

"But there's no sign anyone's been here before…" someone else argued, sharing the same confusion.

As he listened, Lin Langtian's gaze drifted to the structure of the stone hall. The empty hall bore the ancient aura of a long-sealed place, making it seem unlikely anyone had come through before. So why were there no treasures?

Pondering, Lin Langtian's gaze finally settled on a single wall in the main hall. There, hanging alone, was a simple scroll.

A scroll?

Curious, Lin Langtian walked up to the wall. The scroll seemed ordinary but exuded a strangely immovable aura. There were no images or landscapes on it—only a single, majestic character that filled the entire scroll:

Martial!

Lin Langtian's eyes locked onto this character, feeling a faint but extraordinary power emanating from it.

"Hmm?" he murmured, catching the attention of several others in the hall. Seeing Lin Langtian approach the scroll, they too grew curious, particularly the three Second Nirvana Level warriors who moved closer.

"What is this?" one of them muttered, unable to resist reaching out to touch the scroll.

Lin Langtian watched him, narrowing his eyes but making no move to stop him.

As the man's fingers brushed the scroll, his face instantly flushed red.

Boom!

A powerful force blasted him back, sending him crashing into the wall as he spat out blood. He looked up, his eyes wide with shock and terror.

Hiss!

A collective gasp rippled through the crowd, and those closest to the scroll quickly backed away.

"What a fierce and dominating martial intent!" Lin Langtian muttered, his eyes focused intently on the word Martial. When the man touched the scroll, Lin Langtian had sensed an overwhelming martial will erupt from the character.

It was clear now—the true legacy of the Earth Martial Sect lay here.
