Wrath of the Forgotten Lineage

Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Predator and Prey

Lightning licked the sky above the Grand Line as the Abyss Walker sailed through fractured weather. The ship carved a path across churning waves, its hull humming with residual energy from the Genesis Ark hidden in its lower decks.

But they weren't alone on these waters anymore.

Far behind them, in the wake of the shattered clouds, three dark ships followed—silent, fast, and invisible to den-den mushi transmission.

At the head of the World Government's assault stood Rob Lucci, arms folded, eyes narrowed beneath the crisp white mask of CP-0.

He didn't speak often. He didn't have to.

Beside him stood two elite operatives, cloaked in white with black gloves, ready to unleash everything the Government had kept in the dark.

Aboard the Abyss Walker – Preparation

Selene's fingers danced across glowing glyphs on the data console. The Genesis Ark's stasis containment chamber glowed with a soft, pulsing gold beneath the deck, its core monolith now half-deciphered thanks to the data Maria had retrieved.

Yamato leaned against a pillar near the observation glass, watching the light shift.

"So… what have we learned?"

Selene didn't look up. "It's not just a device. It's a dimensional archive—something that bridges memory, biology, and time. The Void Century's final backup."

Maria, lounging nearby with her pipe, cocked her head. "You mean it's a memory vault?"

"Yes," Selene confirmed. "But more than that. It's a living structure. It contains blueprints—for civilizations, for weapons, for… people."

Darius entered then, the air shifting slightly with his presence. "You said it had DNA."

Selene nodded. "Biometric data. Some of it matches lost bloodlines. Lunarians. Buccaneers. Even pre-Celestial species. The World Government couldn't destroy it because it holds the truth of who ruled before them."

Silence hung in the air.

Then Darius spoke.

"We can't let them take it back."

Meanwhile – On the CP-0 Flagship

Rob Lucci stared at a projection of the Abyss Walker's current location. The Cipher Pol agents beside him spoke in low, calculated tones.

"Target is moving west, avoiding all major islands. Possible course toward Sabaody or Elbaf," one of them said.

"Intercept before then," Lucci replied coldly. "He has the Genesis Ark. We must recover it or sink the ship."

"And if Xebec's son resists?"

Lucci's eyes narrowed beneath his mask.

"Then he dies."

The ship accelerated through the storm, and shadows moved below the deck—artificial assassins created for one purpose: eliminating Void Century threats.

The Crew Prepares

Above deck, Selene gathered the officers.

"We're being hunted," she said simply. "Three ships. CP-0. Rob Lucci is leading them."

Yamato let out a short breath. "The pigeon bastard."

Maria arched a brow. "And we're supposed to do what? Run?"

"No," Darius said, stepping up onto a crate to address them all. "We fight."

He looked over his crew—veterans, runaways, warriors, and seekers.

"The Genesis Ark contains truth. Power. Proof. They've killed for less than what we've stolen. But this time, they're not chasing weaklings. They're chasing the next storm. And I say we let it hit."

Selene unfolded a new map from the cipher data.

"There's an island dead ahead. Draka's Teeth. Abandoned, volcanic, and full of terrain we can use. A trap."

Maria grinned. "You want to bait them?"

"I want to slaughter them," Darius said. "And leave their broken masks for the world to see."

The Battle Begins – Draka's Teeth

As the Abyss Walker docked on the storm-swept cliffs of Draka's Teeth, Darius and his crew moved into place. Hidden within the mountain spines, they prepared traps, lined paths with explosive sigils, and planted Rift energy mines along key approach routes.

And then… the sky cracked.

The CP-0 fleet arrived like a ghost fleet—no lights, no signal, only silence. Lucci stood at the prow of the lead ship, his eyes locked onto the black and red sails of the Abyss Walker.

"Engage."

Elite agents leapt from the decks, flipping through the air with inhuman grace. Rifles fired in silence, shells glowing with Seastone tips. But Darius's crew was ready.

From the cliffs above, Yamato dropped into their ranks like a hammer, her kanabo striking the ground with a shockwave that shattered bones and sent bodies flying. Her hair whipped wildly as she smiled like a demon.

"This is for Wano," she growled.

Maria moved through the shadows, webbing up agents mid-jump, crushing them between pillars with brutal precision. Her laughter echoed through the fog like a song of death.

Selene activated the Rift pylons. The battlefield warped as gravity twisted, collapsing enemy formations into tight clusters that were easy targets for artillery.

And at the heart of it all was Darius.

He moved like a phantom—blinking through space, wielding twin Rift sabers, cutting through CP-0 elites in bursts of energy that disoriented and shredded them. Every strike bent the laws of nature—gravity rippling, space cracking like glass.

Then Rob Lucci arrived.

---

Clash of Legends: Darius vs. Lucci

Lucci landed in a burst of wind, his leopard form already activated, the air around him charged with deadly intent.

Darius didn't hesitate.

He stepped forward.

No words.

No hesitation.

Their fists met in a deafening shockwave that leveled trees and sent boulders flying. Rift energy clashed with Lucci's Rokushiki mastery, each strike faster and more brutal than the last.

Lucci struck from above, claws glinting. Darius blinked behind him and countered with a Rift blade to the ribs—but Lucci's armament haki stopped it cold.

"You're stronger than your father," Lucci admitted, blood dripping from his mouth.

"I'm not my father," Darius growled. "I'm what comes after."

Their battle split the cliffs, turning stone into molten rubble, the sky cracking from their force.

---

Turning the Tide

Elsewhere, the crew fought desperately—outnumbered but never outmatched.

Yamato held a narrow pass, refusing to let any CP-0 agents flank their position. Maria took out an entire sniper nest by collapsing it with precision webs. Selene coordinated the defenses while using Rift tech to nullify their Seastone payloads.

Then came the command.

"Pull back to the ship!" Selene called.

Darius disengaged from Lucci, both men bloodied, breathing hard. But Lucci didn't pursue—he saw the smirk on Darius's face too late.

The mountain exploded behind him—traps they'd planted on Day One going off in unison. Half the CP-0 fleet was wiped out in a chain reaction of Rift detonations.

The Abyss Walker opened its cannons, firing Void-split shells that erased air, stone, and men alike.

CP-0 retreated.

---

Aftermath

As the sun rose behind smoke-streaked clouds, the survivors of the Abyss Walker stood on the battered cliffs, watching the World Government's remnants vanish into the horizon.

Maria leaned against a bloodstained rock, lighting her pipe with a trembling hand. "That… was beautiful."

Yamato wiped blood from her forehead and grinned. "I say we do that again next week."

Selene sat beside a cracked terminal, already scanning the Ark again.

And Darius…

Darius stood at the edge of the cliff, eyes locked on the distant sea.

"They sent their best," he murmured. "And it wasn't enough."

He turned to the others, blood streaked across his jaw, but eyes blazing.

"Now the world knows we're not running."
