Chapter 7: An Encounter
The next day.
I noticed that there were more adventurers than usual when I went to Yumemi Dungeon.
“Ah, that’s right. Today is Saturday.”
These people were likely those who became adventurers as a side job. I think they came to make some money on the holidays.
To them, who only come to the dungeons once or twice a week, the one-week intermission doesn’t matter much. And many of them were focusing on capturing dungeons.
Even though the experience and materials that can be obtained in Yumemi Dungeon were rubbish, the capture reward was good and was very useful for those groups of adventurers.
Just like that party of five that just passed through the gate.
“Huh? 5 people?”
Although I had some opinions about the number of people in the party, I decided not to worry about it. It would be troublesome if I agitate them because of my unnecessary meddling, and above all, it’s not the time to care about other people.
I walked a little slower than the other adventurers and then activated [Transfer Within Dungeon].
In the dungeon, I was also careful not to run into the other adventurers as much as possible and challenged the dungeon 3 times in a blink of an eye.
At this pace, I might be able to challenge the dungeon 10 times.
That was what I was starting to assume at the moment.
The fourth time I challenged the dungeon. The door of the boss room was closed tightly when I arrived. Looks like another party challenged the boss by the time I returned here again.
The door won’t be opened unless the boss is defeated or the party members are wiped out. That’s why I thought this waiting time was annoying.
“A-Ano…”
“Whoa!”
I was startled because I suddenly heard a voice that was not mine.
The person who called me out-The girl’s shoulder shook when she saw that I was taken aback because of her.
“I-I’m sorry, I made you surprised.”
“It’s okay, I’m not surprised at all.”
“Eh? But you were just taken aback and screamed vigorously—“
“—More importantly, let’s talk about something productive. Why are you alone in this kind of place?”
I asked the question I was wondering about after brilliantly avoiding the girl’s pursuit of the topic. Because even though dungeons were usually challenged with a party, this girl was standing here alone.
For a moment, I thought she was an exception like me who was trying to capture the dungeon solo, but it doesn’t seem like she has a weapon.
This means she was a magician-type adventurer but it was harder to solo capture dungeons for a magician-type adventurer than close combat type adventurer.
Looks like there is another reason why she was alone here.
“A-Actually…”
Then, albeit showing a bit of hesitation, the girl explained her situation.
