Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Little Feng, You Can’t...

It was no surprise that a fox demon sealed in the Far East would speak her native tongue right away.

Hellmaru started by exerting pressure on Aponia, aiming to gain the upper hand in their upcoming conversation.

Over the past month, she had deeply understood how much this nun doted on "Feng." Using this as leverage, Hellmaru believed that this ascetic-like nun would surely lose her composure. In doing so, she hoped to both obtain information about Ye Feng and thoroughly humiliate this woman!

Hellmaru laughed inwardly with satisfaction, letting countless evil thoughts arise.

However, Aponia remained quietly seated. Her pure white veil draped over her head, and the modest habit she wore only served to highlight her curvaceous figure.

Her gaze remained downcast, her hands folded calmly on her lap. From the moment Aponia entered the office and saw Hellmaru, her clear eyes gradually became hazy, taking on a look of compassion and pity for the misfortune of the world, tinged with faint sorrow.

Hellmaru did not notice this shift. She only found her more detestable.

Finally, Aponia raised her head, her misted eyes gazing softly at Hellmaru. With a gentle and slow voice, she said, "For a long time, I've wanted to personally apologize to you."

"What?"

Higoku Maru was bewildered.

Was this woman out of her mind? I'm threatening you, and you're apologizing?

Did she misjudge the situation? Was Aponia just a higher-level NPC unable to respond properly?

Aponia's gaze was complex as she looked at Hellmaru. A dark blue butterfly fluttered at her ankle. Seeing the butterfly, Higoku Maru's pupils contracted.

"Hey, you—"

"Please, rest here."

Hellmaru's expression momentarily blanked. Her body swayed before collapsing into the office chair, her head hanging limply.

"My child, I will atone for my sins, but now, I have something more important to do... I cannot make the same mistake again."

If you head north along the maple grove, you'll reach a lake shrouded in thick mist, concealing some terrible truth.

Even on sunny days, the mist remained, like a cold god sitting within, silently threatening the world.

Aponia gazed at the world's end, her eyes reflecting both sorrow and determination.

A familiar voice floated through the mist.

"You've come."

"I'm here."

"You shouldn't have."

"But I did."

The mist parted as Ye Feng walked across the shimmering lake toward her. His figure still that of a young boy, he stood firmly in front of Aponia.

Aponia stared at the child she had raised, finally realizing why she had always felt a special connection to him.

Long ago, Aponia had told Elysia that she foresaw the collapse of the MOTHs, and Elysia had also shared her own "prophecy."

Ten days later, Elysia died as a Herrscher, and from that moment on, Aponia could no longer see fate. After Elysia's death, Aponia asked Vil-V to merge her with the Elysian Realm, where she remained entangled in the threads of fate for fifty thousand years...

But now, here, from the beginning, she had never seen Ye Feng's fate.

"Can you tell me who you really are?"

"My name? It's Ye Feng."

"Ye Feng..."

Aponia recalled the maple grove near the church, the place where she'd had her happiest moments.

"Little Feng..."

But now the dream was over.

"Mama Aponia, sometimes when we 'wake up,' we just fall into another dream, you know?"

"...?"

"I like that title—Tais Eiros. It means: In this life, I have no other hopes. I only wish to meet and be with more women, from all different places."

"..."

Aponia sensed a trace of danger from Ye Feng's gaze.

She lowered her eyes and said, "I am a sinner. I don't deserve happiness. Thank you, Little Feng. These past days have given me happiness I've never known. But it must end. I have to return to the Elysian Realm."

Aponia was the Elysian Realm. Her consciousness had been transferred here, and if she stayed too long, it could create vulnerabilities in the realm.

Ye Feng stared at the sacred, alluring nun before snapping his fingers. The scenery around them distorted.

In the blue skies, a vast, floating open-air cathedral appeared, surrounded by broken white columns. A statue of a goddess holding a ruby apple, symbolizing sin, looked down upon them.

Though the scene seemed familiar, Aponia knew this was not the Elysian Realm.

Ye Feng looked at her and said, "Mother Aponia, you know me too well. But the place you want to return to isn't just a symbolic church."

"I know. I just thought this place had more...ambiance."

"..."

Aponia's lips parted slightly, unable to meet Ye Feng's gaze.

"Mother Aponia, words of thanks alone aren't enough."

"What does Little Feng want?"

"Mother Aponia, I'm hungry."

"!!"

Those words echoed in Aponia's soul like a commandment, and her body began to react...

Blushing, the nun could no longer remain calm. She watched as Ye Feng approached but didn't step back. Her feet felt rooted to the ground.

When Ye Feng undid the veil, his hand slid down Aponia's bare back. His fingers traced along her spine, causing her to shiver instantly. She gasped, startled.

Her voice was sweet and unfamiliar to her own ears, making her feel even more embarrassed. Still, she endured it, closing her eyes, her sacred face flushed with shame, trying to suppress her heavy breathing.

"Little Feng... don't."

Ye Feng looked up. "If you don't like it, you can push me away."

"..."

Aponia raised her trembling hand to push him, but instead, it rested on his shoulder. Her inner turmoil stiffened her body, causing her to break out in a cold sweat.

The sweat soaked her silk gown and trickled down her thighs, wetting her stockings and boots.

"Mother Aponia, let's play a game. If you win, I'll let you go. If you lose, you'll have to stay."

"...What kind of game?"

Ye Feng smiled mischievously, wrapping his arms around Aponia's neck. He tiptoed, pulling her closer until his lips were near her ear. He whispered softly.

Aponia's body trembled violently.

"Little Feng, you can't..."
