Chapter 329: § CAN I STAY §
The classes ended, Yanarym thought she was working so hard and the results were starting to bloom. Kraig was showing signs of anxiousness and Lyndon, her lips curled mischievously, just thinking about Lyndon was making her delighted. She initially thought Lyndon was easier than Kraig and he was. She saw him yesterday but she was looking up to seeing him today too.
Guide-sama: "Regarding that, I have something to report to you."
What is it?
Guide-sama: "About Tiana and Lyndon. I think the relationship is going…"
What?
Guide-sama: "..."
Hey, are you serious right now? Tell me. Are they lovers already?
Guide-sama: "You are expecting… them to be lovers?"
Not expecting at all, because it will naturally transpire. Whether I do something or nothing.
Guide-sama: "You lose the bet, again. You told me you will have him—"
Is the game over
Guide-sama: "What do you mean? Lyndon is already in love with Tiana. How could you win with her?"
Guide-sama, don't worry about Lyndon falling in love with Tiana.
Guide-sama: "I thought you did not like to take the hard way?"
…no one said the easy way is the fast way. Be patient with me.
Guide-sama: "I will trust you. Tell me if I can do anything." Yanarym sighed, and it seemed like Guide-sama was really worried about her.
Guide-sama, do you wanna know how I will win the bet? I don't want to tell you because it will spoil the fun but I think if you worry too much I have to give you some assurance.
Guide-sama: "I'm not worried, I have no ability to feel human emotions."
But you are, right now.
Guide-sama: "Am I?"
Yanarym laughed at the innocent question. Yes, you are.
Guide-sama: "..."
Anyway, do you want to hear my plan?
Guide-sama: "I said I will trust you."
When parting, Kraig left with a slight hesitation. In the end, when he turned his back, he never looked over his shoulders. Yanarym was not disappointed, in actuality it was a surprise that he was having a reaction this early. If this keeps on going on, it might not even take her the graduation before making them too drawn. She could leave and live in peace and be with Lena with harmony but she was hoping to witness how miserable they could become.
Should I change my clothes first or should I head to Lyndon's place? I don't want to see Matteo… maybe I should just head to Lyndon's house. I told him I would stop by today, he could not forget that and invited Tiana, right?
Guide-sama: "He's not with Tiana, Tiana ran away from him after he kissed her."
Oh, they kissed? Isn't that romantic?
Guide-sama: "...what's good for Tiana is bad for you."
That's right, but if they kissed is not a bad thing for me.
Guide-sama: "Why did even Tiana change her heart from Kraig to Lyndon? She would often think of Lyndon as someone who was treating her badly, but right then, I saw her thoughts… She liked Lyndon."
Lyndon has the charisma, Guide-sama. And Tiana was attracted to his character. Yanaraym was not lying. Lyndon had his advantages to Tiana. That was why even though Kraig was the initial 'male lead' of the story, was shoved aside when it was Lyndon's turn to shine.
Yanarym was not sure on how the conflict started but she could assume that during the progression of the story where the author writes the book. Maybe somewhere in the middle the monopoly relationship Tiana had with Kraig was not enough to excite the readers or the author himself. So, he created some moments for Lyndon but ended up making him one of the male leads and … it ended up becoming reverse harem. Or not. It was just a speculation.
The important thing was, Kraig made Tiana fall in love in illusion. While Lyndon was like the reality that was bringing her black and colorful shades of life. He was the truth that no matter how she denied it would always be there for her. Yanarym could say it was another form of toxicity but nevertheless, it was thrilling and romantic.
Anyway, Lyndon and Tiana were not part of her business. She stopped in front of Lyndon's door and twisted the knob, he sent him a message that she was already here and without permission came in to his door. He was in the living room, holding his communicator while he looked at her with no surprise reaction.
"Make it fast and leave immediately, Tiana would be here sooner."
He was used to her. Being too accumulated it would be one of the alarming things to feel. Especially if you were the type who got attached deeply like Lyndon.
"Lyndon I just came, you're kicking me out already?." She walked to his direction and she saw how his eyebrow raised in her behavior. She was not running towards him or calling him with her invented endearment.
"What's news with Kraig?" He said nonchalantly and turned around holding his communicator eagerly waiting for Tiana to contact him. It was minimal, but Yanarym can see excitement on his countenance. His romance from all this time was finally commencing, maybe because she was watching him the entire time. Somehow, she felt proud that Lyndon had given his limelight to Tiana.
"Kraig is on the move." Yanarym looked at Lyndon, he was not staring at her. However, she knew that he was weighing her mood. His charm… so cute. "He is trying to make a deal with someone in the academy who has the same animosity as your father."
"Who is it?" Yanarym sat on Lyndon's side, he did not mind. After all, he was used to it. Yanarym leaned her head to his shoulder and closed her eyes.
She could say she liked Lyndon the most out of the three. Although Tiana was in denial about it, she knew Lyndon was more compatible to her than Kraig. Lyndon's charm. It was cold but very warm. He offered comfort in silence because his mouth was piercing harsh words.
"I don't know." She answered carefully, regarding Kraig's plan. There would be no way she would allow Kraig to proceed on his revenge. It was tactless, that revenge—that he did not even mean to do it. If he proceeded on hurting Castor, he would repent for it later. Anyways, it was an unnecessary course to take, and surely if Kraig did follow that path, she would suffer some consequences along with him. Lyndon was her leverage to give Kraig some obstacle or just an interruption in his revenge.
"Is that all?" He seemed uninterested, given the situation. Lyndon would not give a damn to Kraig if Tiana had drawn her entire attention to Lyndon. However, Yanarym was aware, Kraig's aftertaste of fantasy was not that easy to render. Tiana was hooked up with her illusion of Kraig, and Lyndon was doing his best being passive and aggressive to gain Tiana's affection.
Anyways…
"Did you call your father or visit the town hall? Kraig went there too." Lyndon's father was injured by Kraig because of their encounter last night. As Guide-sama's information was given to her, even though Castor had the healing abilities like Lyndon. He was not allowed to utilize it too often. It was the disadvantage of their ability. The more they mended, cure someone or themselves, their initial lifespan would be lessened. That was why most of the healer magicians had a very short span of life.
She was certain that Lyndon was much more powerful than his father, he could even paralyze people with his ability, which was not mentioned in the book. It was scary and dangerous. He could save a dying person and could kill a healthy person. At least Lyndon did not habitually wield his magic for trivial matters. In that case, Lyndon currently overpowers Kraig if Kraig lost to Castor. Now that I think of it, It was such a bummer that I came to this magical world and I can't even do a single magic. Though I can brew potions I can even activate them because I don't have a single mana on my body.
"What's the use of your information if the event is already over?" He asked her but did not hear any response… Lyndon, who was waiting for her to continue her blabbering, removed his eyes on the communicator and turned to her. She did not answer him and her thought was somewhere else. He could see it in her visage that she was dazed. Seeing that she was paying much attention, he decided to ignore her at all.
But she is acting odd… no, it is about the cafeteria incident? He grinned at the thought. Is she disappointed in him for not helping her in Ejai's torment? She got brazen to behave as if they were truly lovers.
"Can…I stay?"
"You did not hear what I said earlier?" He said in a cold voice and yanked his shoulder so she would stop leaning on him. "Stop being irritating and leave."
