Chapter 315: § SOUND BARRIER §

"Lyn-lyn, you want me?" She asked, Lyndon, turned his eyes on her and Yanarym was staring at him with expectant eyes. He was aroused, but it did not mean he wanted her; it was his body not him.

"I don't, get off me or shut up," he said irritatedly, trying hard to regulate his blood flow and eliminate the explicit image of her naked body on his mind.

"I want to stay, I'll be quiet," she murmured and fastened her arms on him but her movements and charming voice just heightened the appetite of his cravings on her softness. Lyndon clenched his teeth, he could not focus on the ring anymore.

"Just leave." He said in a firm tone.

"But I'm behaving." She complained, "I won't move or say anything," she lowered the volume of her voice. Pleading for his permission for her to stay.

"You've got nothing to say about Kraig, you're loud and disturbing me." He huffed and thrashed the tools on his hand and glared at her, "And I told you not to seduce me. I don't like the idea of playing with you in my bed. I'm in love with Tiana, not you." Rigid tone with hateful gape was directed at her, for a second she lost her gorgeous smile and accompanied despairing eyes. She did not cry and was forced to lift the edge of her lips, the sadness on her eyes though continued to sparkle.

"I'll behave, I promise… I won't touch you. I'll sit on the bed or the floor, I won't disturb you." It was a melodic plea, despite it being a low whisper, he could hear her soft voice clear on his ears.

But Yanarym didn't understand, as long as she was within reach, his body would still react to her violently. Lyndon gawked his eyes on her with concealed desire on the depths of it. The greater the longing his body had for her, the more hatred he developed but could not direct it on her. It was frustrating. So he did what he thought was the best action to partake.

He paralyzed her body. Carried her downstairs and pushed her out of his house. Made sure to lock his window and doors and activated the soundproof barrier. And revoking the paralyzation on her body from the inside, seeing that there was no longer a threat in the house, Lyndon went back to his bedroom and took off his shirt and pants that had the lingering scent of Yanarym. He went to the bathroom and relieved his lust, took a shower with a heavy heart.

Changed his clothes and sat back on his chair. Concentrate on the ring on the table with twisted brows. One of these days, he had to—he must dispose of Yanarym.

Lyndon knew Yanarym was perceptive of things and people. He did not want to admit the fact that they had similarities but he could not deny it either. She was an observer, patient, a loner, like him, she always watched and waited. And if she fell for a person, it was hard, she was loyal and devoted. We are the same but not parallel to each other. Lyndon thought and sighed, this was the moment where he regretted being associated with her because he pities her. Once he successfully wins Tiana's heart, there would be no space for Yanarym in his life. He had to abandon her, Lyndon halted on his movements with a distorted face.

"Since when did I start to care?" He questioned his feelings. He looked at the pincer on his hand that was clamping a white stone. In his head, a voice interpreted that pincer as Yanarym, his disposable tool, and that white crystal as Tiana, his previous person. "Because we are the same, I should sympathize with her." He grumbled. "What a fucking ideology." He carefully placed the tiny white stone on the ring and tossed the pincer on the trash bag not far from him. It didn't go in the bag, it landed on the floor. Lyndon rolled his eyes and picked up the ring on the table and had a brief but content smile on his face. Hope Tiana would love this and frowned as Yanarym's smile appeared on his field of vision.

Yanarym confessed to him that the reasons why she fell for him were their similarities. Naturally, Lyndon turned deaf to her confession and still treated her poorly. Well, he doubted that even if he would abuse her she would let go of what they currently had. She was too obsessive of him, the way she bluffed and overlook the truth that he did not give a fuck about her was very impressive. She would even give him advice or techniques on how to gain Tiana's favor.

This ring he was making was her idea too. He could understand that she was into him, but was being similar to one another enough to drive her this crazy for him? He did not do anything for her to be in love with him this bad. She was a smart woman, a talented potion brewer, and a great advisor for magical theories. But she was also a fool, a stupid fool, she would gladly do anything for him to get pleased on her. What does she think will happen if I accomplish winning Tiana's love? I'm sure she is aware of what is the result of her actions. I don't have to pity her, she knows what is coming for her.

Lyndon took a small box with a cushion in it and put the ring in there. He set it aside and looked at the glass door on the terrace. It was dark, he turned to the clock and it was almost midnight. He stood up and did subtle stretching and ambled towards the balcony, the fresh freeze and the cricket of the night greeted him. It was relaxing, for a moment his mind was filled with serenity. His attention unconsciously drifted on the lake when he saw a yellow dress on the corner of his eyes. He was not wrong, he saw Yanarym sitting on a stone that was standing in the lake, her feet submerged in the water and she was staring straight at him.

It was almost the holiday season, although this town didn't have such a cold climate. The water on that lake would still be cool enough to make her shiver. But she was not, she looked fresh and by enhancing his vision, he could see her soft smile as her eyes flutter.

"What is she doing," his eyes darkened in annoyance because of the uncertainty he felt. She waved her hand at him and left the big rock, she walked steadily on the small rocks until she reached the dirt and grass. Lyndon watched her without changing his expression, but his hands were gripping tightly on the railing of the balcony.

Bare-footed, she ran in his direction but because there was a height distance between she remained below. He looked down on her and she was looking upon him like she was worshiping his countenance. Lyndon sneered, how stupid could she be? Is she waiting to say her love confession and goodbye? He jeered at the conjecture. Yanarym never failed to do this, she was tireless.

She was shouting something as her eyes twinkled with admiration. But because the sound barrier was activated he could not hear a word she was saying. However in odd circumstances as if her lips belonged to him, he could hear her voice that was without a doubt muted.

"You did not even let me say goodbye, I'll come over tomorrow and make sure to bring you important news about Kraig." Lyndon thought he was delusional that he could hear her voice. Doubtfully, he disabled the sound barrier, "I'll make sure to get information for you." She said with a clearer and crisp tone that matches her bright eyes.

"This is crazy." Lyndon's face formed an ugly wrinkle, hissing through his breath. How could he hear her with the sound barrier activated? Did this happen before? No.

"What?" Yanarym said who was staring at him looked confused. "What did you say?" She asked, "I didn't hear you."

"Did I not tell you to leave? Why are you still here? Should I ban you from going in here?!" He yelled angrily, she scratched her left eyebrow. Her expression seemed to be so used to his angry screams.

"But I behaved," she rambled, it was a whisper to herself, but he heard it to his ear. Ostensibly, the distance that was set between them was far enough to hear each other without shouting. "I stayed because you didn't hear my goodbye."

"I don't need to hear it."

"My I love you, you did not hear it!" She yelled and pursued her lips, slightly crossing her brows, looking mortified.

"I don't need to hear that either." He replied, dismissing her bluntly. Instead of getting dejected she displayed a blithe smile and waved her hand again.

"Since you heard it, I'll leave now! Bye, Lyndon!"
