World After Worlds

Chapter 310: § YOURS §

Kraig saw the sight of Yanarym's house and even greeted the witch professor on his way. Lena only threw him a fierce nod as a reply and passed by him.

When he was near so he decided to get his communicator and call for her. It took her a few rings to pick up, "Love! Hello!" She appeared on the holographic screen, seeing her, Kraig's expression lit up. However, swiveling his eyes to the corner of the screen he saw Marcus fervidly staring at her. Kraig faked his smile and resisted any dismal reaction form on his visage. "Wait! Are you outside already?"

"Rym," Marcus called her and she casually ate what Marcus brought to her mouth. The spectacle Kraig witnessed caused something strange on his chest, though it was disturbing he chose to ignore it.

"I just got here, take your time." He smiled at her and she shook her head.

"I'm done! I'm done! I'll just have a quick shower, alright? I'll be there!"

"You're not done eating," Marcus stopped her from standing up and the call ended. Kraig stared into nowhere, his lips glum realizing she was no longer looking.

He clenched his fist to conceal the distress that his heart was feeling. She was perfect for him; there was no hurdle between them. They were happy and they never had fought during those two months of being together. There was something—someone who bothered him though. It was Marcus. He did not like Marcus; there was animosity on that guy's aura that Kraig never appreciated.

Although he was perceptive of the certainty Lena did not like him for Yanarym, the way Marcus viewed Yanarym was not the same as Lena seeing Yanarym. Kraig did not think that Marcus was discerning Yanarym as his niece like what they were supposed to be. Marcus did not like Kraig not because he was a protective uncle, but because he liked Yanarym.

She once told him not to worry about it and he did not bring up the conversation again. He did not want to appear as a suspicious and jealous boyfriend to her. After all, she never questioned him with the moments he should be doubted, she always trusted him. He should do the same, he should trust her and he did… he trusts her.

Nonetheless, whenever he sees Marcus with his girlfriend, Kraig could not help but feel that annoying feeling, crawling to the pits of his stomach, and the confining of his chest. He was anxious and each time, that anxiousness was growing within him.

MATTEO loosened his grip on her forearm as she stood up and bent her head on him; bestowing him a sudden kiss on his lips. Both of her hands were holding his cheeks as she stood, towering over him. He twined his arms on her waist to draw her closer.

"I need to go." She pinched his cheeks and beamed him a sweet smile. "Can you clean up the table?"

"You are not done yet, I cooked it all for you." He rattled, "I can stop the time, let's finish your breakfast."

"I can't," she muttered and crouched on him and landed her lips on his forehead, "I have to eat with Kraig. I bet he brought breakfast for the both of us to share." He sighed depressingly.

"Don't be too sad, alright? Did I not promise you? Once my revenge on them is completed, I'm all yours. " She guided his jaw to look up at her. Their eyes met and the restiveness was clear in his expression, yet, he didn't dissent her.

"Yes."

"Good boy." Matteo rose from his seat and captured her lips, he meandered her body to sit on the table. She gasped in surprise, he swept inside. His tongue wandered to the moist flesh of her mouth, sipping her. I don't want to become a good boy to a bad girl like you, his mind construed. He felt her delicate arms twisted in his head, eliminating any void in them. She welcomed him with passion, her thighs were wrapped about him, and the way she caught his tongue and sucked him. Matteo felt weakened, he was intending to not let her go, and to command her to stay and prove to him what she had stated was the truth. But if she behaved like this, there was no way he could keep up the tough act. He broke free from his own doing and she willingly set him free. "I love you," whispered in her ear, he heard her chuckle.

"I know," she said and tapped his shoulder, "Now be a real good boy and put me down, I need to take a shower." He stared at her the stillness; his dark eyes had too much to say to her but chose to remain silent. She smiled wider and gave him another kiss on his chin so he just sighed in concession. He carefully put her down from the table to the floor, "Thank you. I won't be long, but if you could invite Kraig in. That would be great." She ran to her room after she gave him orders. Matteo would do some of those except bring that filthy human in his territory.

KRAIG looked at his wrist and saw that thirty minutes had passed. Their class would start at nine o'clock and she always bathed for an hour. They could be late because he planned to eat breakfast with her in the coffee shop with the pasta he brought. Even though he already saw her eating with Marcus, he knew she would spare him time to eat breakfast together because if not, he could become really upset.

He heard the doorknob twisting open, with the expectation he peered to see if she was done readying early, but to his dismay, it was Marcus who appeared. "Good morning," Kraig tried hard to pretend amenable towards Marcus but he seemed to hate Marcus' presence more than he hated Lyndon's. Well, at least in Lyndon's case he could irritate that man and retaliate back. But with Marcus, Kraig was clueless about how to counter him.

He was not even his enemy. They're family, nothing more or less, Kraig disputed. Marcus did not bother being polite, he was staring at him with hostility. Kraig knew a long time ago that this entitled uncle of his girlfriend didn't like him as well. They had that unspoken barrier between the two of them. Nevertheless, Kraig was the one who was labeled as the understanding boyfriend. He could not argue with Yanarym regarding Marcus that would make him so immature and susceptible.

"Rym told me to invite you," Marcus said with obvious displeasure. Kraig's lips twitched, this was why he had a strong discontent with Marcus. Kraig could not just feel it, he could see it. The way Marcus treated Yanarym, the way he stared at her, the way he held her.

Marcus was into Yanarym. This man was seeing his girlfriend as a woman. Marcus was jealous of him; his eyes were gleaming envy directed to him. They had an indistinguishable gaze at one another. This was ironic because they are living under the same roof, by that fact. Kraig could hardly retain his 'jealousy' towards Marcus. It was a natural reaction, wasn't it? His girlfriend was living with a man who was interested in her. He could get bothered by that, right? But she assured him that he should not worry… and he could not show that he was favoring her too much.

"I'm fine, I'm cool out here," Kraig replied to Marcus without much friendliness. He should be worried about his hindered schemes to his vengeance, not this trivial thing. Yanarym was his pastime, not his priority. Marcus was about to close the door, but, "On second thought, isn't it hot today? It's not a problem if I wait in the living room, right? " Marcus did not say a word and Kraig found himself walking to him. With the opened door and unwelcome glare, Matteo allowed Kraig in. "I heard from Rym that you will travel soon, when is that?"

"It doesn't concern you," Marcus uttered coldly and left him in the living room. Kraig could only smile to repudiate. Should I get rid of that rude bastard? He clenched his fist and roamed his eyes on the furniture and display in the area. I shouldn't get too affected by Marcus but he is seriously getting on my nerves. If he's gone, I could be at ease and focus on destroying Lyndon's family.

He saw Yanarym's younger photos on the shelves and some of her medals and academy's recognition certificate. The frown on his lips curled into a smile, she was so adorable even back then. "Don't touch that," he was startled upon hearing Marcus' magnetic voice from behind and saw him holding a tray of teacups. Kraig clamped his lips out of annoyance, the way Marcus said it was as if he was so possessive of the picture of Yanarym.

Kraig was unable to stop his grimace at him, "I'm merely admiring 'my' girlfriend." Then, he saw how Marcus' eyes were engulfed with bitterness and jealousy.
