Chapter 557: Mexico's New "Three Titans"? (Part 3)
This moved the other party profoundly, nodding vigorously, even sobbing a little.
"Don't cry, men don't cry, but you are too thin, you can't compete with others like this. Work out more in the future. You have to believe you will succeed. Even Supreme Leader Victor started from the grassroots. True warriors dare to face a brutal life!"
"Georgi."
A mother's voice called from afar.
"Remember to come find me tomorrow. Don't forget. I have to go home to do homework now. Oh, right, remember my name, Georgi Konstantinovich Zhukov!"
"My name is Bernard Montgomery."
After saying this, he ran off.
Bernard Montgomery watched the other's back as he left, finally shouldering his burlap bag and heading home.
He certainly didn't live in the slums...
The government decreed there were no slums, only communities. Although the houses weren't great, they were much better than a slum.
When he reached his building, he seemed to hear some noise from the basement, and walked over suspiciously.
Hiding in a corner, he saw two people conversing in the shadows, one of whom was very familiar, a community cadre named Billy. It was said his mother was a cleaner at the National Palace.
Bernard Montgomery listened intently, bit by bit...
"Tomorrow you put this in your mom's pocket..."
"This... what is this?"
"Don't worry, it's just a monitor. No big deal. You get $2000 US dollars once you put it in." The man opposite took out a wad of cash from his pocket and handed it over.
Billy was clearly breathing heavily, grabbing it, including the device.
"This isn't our first time working together. You should trust us. Don't worry, after things are done, we can get you immigrated to any country you want."
"I want to go to South Africa, where... women have big butts."
"???" The person opposite stiffened for a moment but quickly smiled, "No problem, just make sure to get this device into the National Palace."
Bernard Montgomery covered his mouth and backed away. He ran upstairs carefully, fumbling with his keys in panic. After opening the door, he heard coughing from inside.
"Is that Bernard?" A weak voice came from the bedroom.
"Grandpa, it's me."
He went to see his grandfather who was coughing violently on the bed, trying to say something but held back, his worried expression turning to concern, "Have you eaten? I'll cook for you."
"No need, cough cough cough, no need... I've eaten. Go take a shower and rest early, cough cough cough."
Bernard Montgomery complied obediently, took a shower, and lay in bed, tossing and turning, replaying the scene in the basement in his mind.
He couldn't help but think of something else.
This afternoon, the gym teacher came to school, a muscular man missing a leg. He seemed like a professional from the military. He told us everyone must guard against spies, and if we catch one, there's a reward up to 500,000 Riyals?
He was amazed then.
How much money is that?
Could grandpa's illness be treatable?
But he wasn't sure, mainly because he was timid...
He originally wanted to tell grandpa, but seeing his coughing, he couldn't bear it.
Should he find someone to help?
He suddenly thought of the new friend he met tonight!
He jumped out of bed, got dressed quietly, sneaked out of the bedroom, listening to the loud snoring next door, slowly opened the door and went out.
His little frame ran surprisingly fast.
From his community to Ottoman Street was at least 2 or 3 kilometers, but he still made it in about ten minutes, "Number 111."
He looked at the little villa and checked each plaque until he found Number 111 and pressed the doorbell.
Soon a head popped out.
"Bernard? Why are you here?" Georgi asked in surprise.
Montgomery, supporting his knees and breathing deeply, face full of sweat, "I... I seem to have discovered a spy."
"?!!?!?!"
"Where?!" Georgi got excited immediately, visibly growing more excited and rolling up his sleeves, making a boxing gesture, "I'm going to beat those sons of bitches to death."
Montgomery looked at Georgi's arms thicker than his calves and swallowed.
"Come in and talk."
Before he knew it, Georgi's father was at the door, frowning and called out.
"Oh, sure, come with me inside. I'll get you some beer and coffee."
Montgomery opened his mouth. He was very cautious because his grandfather had told him before that there were no good people in Mexico. Never go when someone calls you, or you might meet a bad end.
But after thinking it through, he went inside.
The first thing he saw upon entering was a military uniform photo hanging in the middle, but this uniform... didn't seem to belong to Mexico.
"Where did you see the suspected spy?"
After entering, the man asked.
"In my neighborhood, he's an official there..."
He recounted everything he saw, as the man listened with a deepening frown, nodding slightly, walking to the coffee table, picking up the phone and dialing a number.
"Hello, Augustine, I have something here."
Little George took out a beer coffee from the fridge and handed it over, "Try it, I made it myself."
Montgomery hesitated and accepted it, took a sip and almost spat it out, but seeing Georgi's hopeful eyes he swallowed it, forcing a smile, "Not bad, not bad."
