Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 57: Miracle System

Bang bang bang...

The sound of explosions, like artillery fire, resounded one after another in the heavenly vault, with a storm of elemental turbulence moving through the sky, almost phantom-like.

All sorts of radiant energies continuously exploded in the sky, like multicolored thunder, making the sky look as if it had been draped with a poorly made neon light.

In the center of the storm, Richard floated silently in the air, like a time-honored mountain, towering and immovable.

No matter the strength or nature of the various light spears and light bombs, whether strong or weak, fast or slow, when they fell upon Richard's body, they all had but one outcome—

Shattered.

As a wizard with physique evolution, his tough skin and thick flesh were his greatest advantages.

Don't be fooled by wizards who always like to use magic shields as a method; that's a habit left over from bullying the natives.

The enchanted alloy floating shields, when facing the vast majority of attacks, were more useful than pure energy shields.

And as a wizard with physique evolution, Richard's bodily strength far surpassed ordinary alloys. Together with enchantments and abyss curses, it was no exaggeration to say that even if he didn't resist, a sixth-circle spiritual evolution wizard would need some effort to slay him.

Suddenly, Richard's figure quivered, and his massive body instantly transformed into a black storm.

Frenzied wind elements swirled and danced around him, and the whole sky seemed like an inverted funnel.

Boom!

The light of his fist was like an arrow.

His punch stirred the clouds and winds for thousands of miles, drawing in the energy flow between heaven and earth, intertwining with the elements to form the might of his punch.

The King of Mayfly that the fist light targeted shrieked, and in front of it, another King of Mayfly appeared instantaneously.

In an instant, the clouds and winds surged, then exploded with a crash.

The sky seemed to have been split in two by someone.

But at the center, although the defensive King of Mayfly's shell was full of cracks, its aura remained as stable and weighty as a mountain.

"Sigh, really an old turtle."

Richard sighed, feeling that this battle was utterly boring.

The team of Kings of Mayfly he was facing now was already the third one; the first two were slain by Richard, three Kings of Mayfly altogether, due to their capability configuration issues, almost prompting the Mayfly Quasi-Emperor to intervene.

After two failures, the Galaxy Mayfly finally configured the perfect team against Richard.

At the moment, the five Kings of Mayfly besieging him did not stand out in the battle strength rankings, but their capabilities were extremely annoying.

The heavy shell responsible for defense could withstand Richard's full-force strike without dying. The one called Emerald responsible for healing could instantly restore the heavily injured heavy shell to minor wounds.

The collaboration of these two formed the core of this small team.

The other three were Black Corner, responsible for using the death rule to weaken Richard; Soul Shatterer, skilled in spiritual shocks; and the Nameless King, who possessed cursing ability and excelled at control.

Such a configuration, if encountered by a spiritual evolution wizard of similar strength to Richard, would be broken in an instant, but against Richard, it was just suitable.

This made Richard extremely frustrated.

When the Kings of Mayfly heard Richard's complaint, they also felt a wave of irritation.

As level-five Kings of Mayfly, each of them was a mighty presence above tens of thousands, yet at this moment, they could only be used as a tool to control Richard, this fierce deity, from wreaking havoc on other Kings of Mayfly.

Most annoyingly, they were merely part of this tool.

Richard waved at them, indicating that today's battle was over. He then flew directly toward the rear of the Wizard Fortress.

The five Kings of Mayfly, seeing this, were also helpless. Although they could keep Richard here, they did not possess the capability to slay him.

Continuing the battle would be garbage time and would increase risks instead.

If any mistake occurred in their cooperation, given their battle strength, the whole team might very well be wiped out here.

"Let's go back," the Nameless King said, "our duty is to restrain this guy, not to create unnecessary trouble."

Being the only Mayfly among the Kings with the ability to curse, he knew better than the others how terrifying Richard was.

When cursing Richard, the success rate was almost similar to cursing a level-six creature. If not for physique evolution thriving in thick skin and lacking in instant explosion, they would've been killed long ago.

"Priest, how's the progress in exploring the fate shielding technology? Such wizards should be directly crushed by sending a Quasi-Emperor!" Black Corner said resentfully.

"The experimental results are acceptable; fourth-level Kings of Mayfly can already be consistently confused," the Nameless King replied, "but the radiance of the Quasi-Emperor on the net of destiny is too dazzling, it might take another hundred or two hundred years to shield the Quasi-Emperor."

Saying this, the Nameless King couldn't help sighing that this was indeed a good era.

Driven by war, several Dominators of Mayfly became united against a common enemy, and the previously escalating subspecies conflicts were suppressed due to war.

To meet war needs, each tribe shared its technology. Originally, subspecies that might never have interacted in their lifetime could now gather to explore the mysteries of the world together.

In less than a thousand years, the technological progress of the Galaxy Mayfly practically matched more than an entire epoch from the past.

If this situation could continue indefinitely, perhaps they could truly reach the level of ancient civilizations.

Thinking of this, the Nameless King's heart suddenly shuddered slightly.

He suddenly thought, ancient civilizations were so powerful yet vanished in the river of history.

What could have made them disappear?

"Priest, let's head back. The earth vein primordial liquid should be delivered from the rear today. My treat, everyone gets a cup."

```
The information from the Mind Network interrupted the Nameless King's thoughts. He shook his antennae, casting aside those chaotic ideas.
Life and death are a cycle. Whether life, the world, or civilization, all are bound to perish.
He only needed to contribute his strength to the Galaxy Mayfly before death arrived.
...
In the Secondary Battle Zone Command Center, Richard sat in the laboratory, the Power of Faith in his hands continuously spreading and coalescing like a hypercube.
Suddenly, a Holy Light flashed on Richard, and the Power of Faith in his hands instantly transformed into a steel needle.
Looking at the steel needle, Richard exhaled and sighed, "What an unreasonable power."
The Power of Faith, as a degraded form of the Power of Mystery, inherently possesses the ability to distort reality. Through this trait, Richard could accomplish many incredible feats.
For instance, the steel needle in his hand didn't actually consume any elements.
In the theory of the Shape-shifting School, this is something even the Crown Throne cannot achieve.
Yet, the Power of Faith managed to do it.
The Power of Faith distorted reality, reshaping itself into the Four Elements to form this steel needle.
No matter what method is used to test it, this steel needle is indistinguishable from an ordinary one. Only when disturbed by the Power of Mystery or the Power of Faith does it briefly reveal its nature.
If neither of these powers destroys it, once the disturbance ceases, it returns to its original appearance.
Moreover, if it becomes part of a creature or an object, then the Power of Mystery and the Power of Faith will let it reveal its true nature.
"Miracle, miracle, this name wasn't wrongly given."
Richard shook his head, placing the steel needle into an Enchanted Quartz Tube for preservation. Then he recorded the experiment in the notebook beside him.
Richard had returned to the battlefield for a year now, during which his defensive area had remained calm.
Under the promotion of new tactics, his district hadn't retreated a step, even advancing significantly.
Many lost Earth Vein Nodes were reclaimed.
Yet, he himself couldn't fully exert his strength due to the deliberate targeting by the Galaxy Mayfly.
He could only go out like clocking in at work, fighting briefly to release his combat impulse, before returning to study the Power of Faith and compile and perfect the Miracle System.
Compiling a system is not easy. A complete, credible system must have a comprehensive logic and not defy common sense.
Just as people would believe a complex ritual must yield an incredible result, rather than summoning a fireball that even a Wizard Apprentice could conjure.
The harsher the conditions, the stronger the miracle created.
However, these are for others to use.
In the Miracle System, Richard is the source of all miracles, and he can use them without any restrictions.
Having completed the experiment record, Richard was about to continue his experiment when suddenly, an energy fluctuation interrupted him.
He frowned slightly, retrieving the Communication Crystal Ball from his pocket.
"What is it, Ali?"
"Richard, the Command from Headquarters issued an order, demanding we launch an attack."
"An attack?"
Richard was momentarily stunned, his mind nearly crashing.
An attack? Has the headquarters gone mad?
The Wizard Fortress consumes hundreds of millions of Insect Swarm of the Galaxy Mayfly daily, yet the Galaxy Mayfly remains endless.
Attacking in this situation is like hitting the wall.
However, Richard didn't hesitate long. Once on the battlefield, he was a soldier. If headquarters orders an attack, he must attack.
"How do we attack? What's the direction and goal? Are the surrounding battle zones attacking simultaneously? Is there collaboration?"
"The orders from Command are to head straight for the enemy's lair, launching an attack on the wormhole on the western line of the Galaxy Mayfly. Surrounding battle zones will assist us in attacking... What?"
Ali's gasp suddenly came through the crystal ball, and then she shouted to Richard: "Headquarters orders us to launch a full-scale attack. The wormhole passage of this world has been cut off. All the insects are trapped like fish in a barrel!"
...
In the Star Realm, two colossal beings gazed at each other from a distance.
"Wizard, the space-time storm is only temporary. You cannot win this war."
The Dominator of Mayfly loomed large as mountains, next to him, his broad dominion's rules self-coherent, almost indistinguishable from a normal world.
Within his realm, countless Mayfly Subspecies lived in harmony.
On the opposite side, near the Plastic Energy Crown, there also existed a realm of self-coherent rules, akin to a normal world.
In this realm, the biodiversity was even greater, but all creatures were governed by "man."
The voice of the Mayfly Crown was calm yet grand, like ten thousand great bells ringing simultaneously.
"Whether I can win or not is not for you to decide, insect."
