Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 47: Eye of Truth

After the contract was completed, the two Dominators privately exchanged a few words, the contents of which Richard and the other couldn't discern, but judging by the expression of the two Dominators, the result of the conversation seemed positive.

For both the man and the bird received rewards.

Although Richard was a member of the Alchemy School, the Plastic Energy Crown still represented the Truth Council and gave Richard the deserved reward.

Of course, Richard couldn't obtain shares. The reward from the Plastic Energy Crown was a magic model of two Ten-Ring Witchcraft spells, and he also received from Richard a universal model for constructing a Composite Rule Body—what the Physique Crown gave to Richard regarding the Rule Body model was unknown or unnoticed by the Plastic Energy Crown.

As the chairman, there are too many things waiting for the Wizard Civilization to handle daily. In this era of war, the promotion of the Great Wizard has become commonplace. A rule body design diagram requested by a Great Wizard is not worth the chairman's attention.

As for Ulysses' reward, it was quite simple. The Eternal Trace God King gave Ulysses a Divine Artifact whose effect was to nourish the soul. Although the soul of the World Master automatically repairs itself, such repair comes at the cost of consuming lifespan, whereas this Divine Artifact can replenish that portion of lifespan.

Theoretically, as long as there is enough Power of Faith, it can keep the World Master alive until death.

Besides the Divine Artifact, Ulysses was appointed as ambassador representing the Gods Civilization in the Witchcraft Civilization. Although Ulysses did not mention it, his minor tricks were transparent before the eyes of the Eternal God King. At present, the Gods Civilization is not short of a Divine Position that does not belong to the War God system, so the ambassador position was given to Ulysses as a reward.

Once the two Dominators left, both Ulysses and Richard heaved a sigh of relief.

"Finally, it's over, at least for the next ten thousand years we have no issues." Ulysses said weakly.

"Ten thousand years is enough." Richard sat in the Void, quietly looking at the distant Immortal Country world.

"Enough for what?"

"Enough for me to climb to a high enough position."

Ulysses shivered.

"Goodness, are you stirred? I've never seen you with such ambition before."

Richard gave him a glance and a Miracle Fire leapt from his fingertips.

"With this thing, isn't it only right that I have some ambition?"

Seeing the Miracle Fire, Ulysses was instantly shocked.

"Gah! You can use that Melter now? Indeed, you should be able to use that Melter."

Looking at the Miracle Fire, Ulysses felt a bit wistful. Once upon a time, Richard could only move the Miracle Furnace within his soul, but now, even the flames within the Miracle Furnace could be used by Richard.

"Gah, speaking of which, have you used the Eye of Truth?"

With Richard's boast, Ulysses suddenly recalled something long forgotten.

Richard, after the College War at the Black Tower Wizard Academy, obtained three items from an Illusion Creature. The Light of Balance and the Omniscient Crystal were already made into the Balancing Hand, while the most precious Eye of Truth had been set aside due to Richard's insufficient strength.

Now, Richard had become a Great Wizard, and the time had come for this item to be used.

Hearing this familiar yet strange name, Richard searched through his memory.

"Oh, you mean that thing? Not yet, I had forgotten I had it until you mentioned it."

Richard entered the World Mushroom and found the metal box he had solemnly stored in the underground storage room—Richard's pocket space wasn't infinitely large, so many unused items were placed in the Secret Realm.

Opening the box, the crystal-like Eye of Truth was just as it was back then, with a thousand years passing being merely a brief rest for it.

"How do you use this thing?" Richard asked curiously, looking at the Eye of Truth.

"Given how it's shaped, what else can you do?" Ulysses looked at Richard as if at a fool, "Of course you replace your eye with it, unless you plan to eat it?"

Richard: "..."

Remove the eyeball, Richard stuffed the slightly mismatched Eye of Truth into the eye socket. As it came into contact with the blood of a Fourth Level creature, the crystal eyeball seemed to come alive, continuously devouring the blood until it was completely dyed red.

Then, something overturned Richard's understanding.

After being thoroughly dyed red, the Eye of Truth began to transform into flesh, no, it actually became flesh. After absorbing enough blood, the Eye of Truth changed from its original crystal stone texture into flesh.

The mass moved and grew in Richard's eye socket, eventually forming an eye identical to the one Richard removed.

At the same time, instructions on using the Eye of Truth suddenly surged in Richard's mind.

After receiving the information, Richard began channeling energy, as energy surged in, the world became clearer, with things shedding their outer appearances to reveal their essence in his vision. But this was not the end, Richard's gaze continued to delve deeper, the surface rules began to disappear, replaced by more profound rules.

In Richard's view, the entire Secret Realm was enveloped by rules akin to a tree.

Richard's gaze continued to deep dive, and the world in front of him started to become enchanting, with various indescribable colors filling his vision. Behind each color, he could see a world completely different from the Material World.

Richard knew these colors were the rifts between the Illusionary Dimension and the Material World, and behind this color were those Illusionary Dimensions. Following these rifts, he didn't even need to use the Power of Dimension to enter other Illusionary Dimensions.

Richard felt his eyes could delve deeper, but his soul didn't support him to continue any further.

The Eye of Truth is an amplifier, and what it amplifies is Richard's soul. Richard's spiritual power is only at the level of a Four-level being, naturally unable to probe into deeper scenes.

However, this was already enough.

Closing the Eye of Truth, Richard felt a wave of dizziness in his brain. Peering into the deeper world posed a great burden on the soul; even though he had become a Great Wizard, this activity could not be sustained for long.

"How does it feel, isn't the deeper world marvelous?"

Richard nodded slightly, the bizarre scenes in the deeper world were indeed interesting.

"It truly is marvelous. With this eye, I can also see those hidden rules now."

"Gah?" Ulysses was somewhat surprised, "Didn't you see those rifts between the Illusionary Dimension and the Material World?"

"I saw them, huh?"

"You saw them, yet you focused on those hidden rules?" Ulysses said incredulously, "Those are Illusionary Dimensions! Many Divines would even exchange a Divine Artifact just for a coordinate of an Illusionary Dimension. And you, seeing them, are focusing on the hidden rules?"

Richard said faintly: "Illusionary Dimensions are indeed fascinating, but you must be clear, these dimensions themselves are extremely dangerous. If you rush in recklessly, you could be tricked and killed by the native creatures, not knowing how you died.

Also, in most Illusionary Dimensions, the things inside cannot be brought out. Things like the Light of Balance that can continue to exist in the Material World are very rare.

And exploring deep rules isn't bad either, I happen to have a deep rule that needs exploration."

Saying this, Richard opened the Secret Realm Rift, calling out to Ulysses:

"Come, take a look at our New World."

...

The Immortal Country, after ten years of development, had drastically changed. Goblins' giant factories were already constructed, but the workers had been replaced with Werewolves.

Werewolves were very reverent towards these enormous steel and concrete structures.

They couldn't understand what these things were, only knowing that these factory-like Giant Beasts devoured large quantities of raw materials every day and output everything they needed.

In the words of the first-generation Werewolf who entered the factory, the factory was a manifestation of miracles, a Giant Beast nurtured by the White Wolf God. Before entering the factory, workers would often bow to it, expressing their devotion.

As education spread, this simplistic superstitious view was being dismantled. However, building temples for the factories had become a new custom among the Werewolves.

Looking at the vitality underfoot, the scenes where all things competed to thrive, even Ulysses, a seasoned Divine, couldn't help but marvel; Richard was indeed savvy in managing religion.

"It's actually quite simple." Richard said faintly, "I hold power, embody righteousness, and naturally, people have faith. On this basis, we just need to spread education, cultivate believers from children, then naturally, faith can be sustained long-term."

After finishing, Richard curiously asked: "Don't you do the same on your side?"

"Gah... No, it's more complicated on our side. Each profession has its own Professional God, different races have their own Racial Gods, and various features of the world have their own Divines, like the God of the Sea, Mountain God, Sun God... Besides this, certain specific behaviors or even certain emotions would have a Divine Position. For example, the God of Conspiracy, God of Justice, God of Love and Desire, etc.

You can imagine, a world having seven to eight Divines, and each has several Divine Positions, every action done has other Divines getting involved.

In such a situation, how can one cultivate faith from children?"

Upon listening, Richard immediately fell silent.

He could do so because he was the strongest in this world, he ruled unilaterally. But if there was one more person impeding, even just one, his plan wouldn't proceed so smoothly.

"...Then it's not easy for you guys to develop to this state."

Ulysses sighed slightly: "It's all thanks to the Divine King's backing; without the Divine King's assurance on the big direction, we would have long been torn apart by those Abyssal Trash."

Putting aside the development issue for the time being, Richard arrived at the edge of Wolf Plain, at the ruins of a Mountain City where a Immortal Village Envoy resided. These ruins were originally to be demolished, but because Richard needed them for experiments, all Mountain City ruins of the Seven Immortal Villages were kept.

Using the Eye of Truth on the ruins, Richard's gaze started to breakthrough layers of illusions.

After seeing through the curtain of foundational rules, Richard saw in these ruins a rule as gloomy as the night.

A slight smile appeared at the corner of Richard's mouth.

"Found you."
