Chapter 3: Chapter-3: The maimed one
The gas stopped in it's path, the smoke frozen in time. The moment it spread, converted to the moment it stopped. The cloud shaped gas spreading, suddenly seemed like a solid foam of soft watery construct. No wonder how many years has it been since released.
The pitiful man and the truck driver just kept staring at the scene. The driver scratched his head, not understanding anything one bit. The ethereal glow kept everything covered, blinded their eyes, keeping them from noticing at the point of the mountain it came out from.
The pore spilling out the light and the gas enlarged. It became a huge hike, a hole in the wall of the mountain. The slopes of the mountain, the terrains moved away with like waves, bending while moving as it continued to open up more. The rocks and smoke shattering, flowing out stopped as though time stopped itself for this moment.
The dancing silhouette, glowing away through the light, divided into many. One shadow, at the middle reduced to a smaller one, as if moving away from the light. The thing was a total roughly seasoned thing as ut dropped one step on the ground. The movement was so powerful that it could be felt from miles away.
A cat was stretching it's back, preparing to strike it's prey, a mice. Even the cat felt the vibrating powerful step shaking the Earth. It hitched away. The cat was several miles away from the incident, that's how powerful it was.
Drops of sweat was streaming down their faces at this point. Both the pitiful man and the truck driver were shivering. But stopped immediately, stood there in silence. They didn't dare to move one bit. Their expressions said it all, as if facing death itself.
A primordial instinct screamed inside them, told them to run, their back soaking wet from the sweat they secreted. Blood clothed over the area they bleed heavily from, due to the crash. But none of it could be felt as deeply due to how alarming the situation was.
Their heart beat abnormally, their lungs burning due to exhaustion. They felt slowly getting devoured, engulfed on flames. Flames of fear. Over extreme fear and pressure, both unpleasant and nefarious.
The step was not taken by one, but by everything that existed inside. One of the thing's slowly emerged out of the cave.
From the leg to the head, the full body of this grotesque abomination was a sight to behold. Its skin was dirty and dry, so dry, as if it hasn't felt the touch of water in ages. The sight of it is enough to make one's skin crawl. What was once a human form is now twisted and contorted, standing on all fours like an animal. Its limbs are elongated and its fingers end in sharp claws, covered in feces meeting a sharp end. Stool covered the palm ends of it.
It's skin is a sickly gray colour with cracks and flacking in some places. It's large bluging eyes are sunken into it's skull, surrounded with deep distorted dry dark circles. But perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this monster is the thick, dirty liquid that covers its skin, oozes and drips from every pore, giving off a putrid odor that fills the air.
It hunches over in a menacing, cracking it's bone in a eerie manner looking directly in the dark. The decay of it's form seemed visible as well as it's tremendously thick posture covering the blinding the light.
"It's … just like in the books…", said the pitiful man, his mouth open wide, slowly closing.
"What you blabbering on about? What is that thing, I can barely see it? Why don't you answer?"
The driver kept asking, yes the man didn't answer, trying to process what just happened. His years of work, what he researched on, right in front of him.
The creature kept staring at the sky, radiating light of the Moon shone on the ethereal light. The creature just stared at it, not moving a bit. The two men also stood still, one looking in awe and disbelief, the other looking in disgust and an alarming monotonous fear.
"My shotgun was in the truck, but it is gone now! Hey, damn you just talk already! Say we make a rum for it?!" He just kept telling him, grabbing and shaking him at this point. But the pitiful man didn't budge, just stated at what bewildered him the most. The truck driver looked at him and back at the creature and just spat at the ground and sprinted off cursing in his mouth.
In an instant, the creature rotated it's head whole, the bones cracking with it's movement and sneered eerily at the man running and in a swift shot at him crashing onto him. Nothing could be processed in such minute time, blood splattered away, came flying at the pitiful man, he froze in his place not even daring to move.
The truck driver was now the pitiful, maimed man. In split second, he turned to a corpse unbeknownst to all but one. His body was spuashed like a matt one the road, spilling off to the distance covering even the side walks. Like a smashed bum of bread he was.
The creature stood up in it's place, standing on just It's legs. And lasciviously gazed about. It's hand was full of dripping blood, perhaps from the man it killed, it just put the hand inside It's mouth and licked it's dripping wet bloodied hand whole sucking the blood dry. It picked up some of the splattered organs and crunched it down it's throat and lifted it's head up high and roared.
The roar was like a muffled erratic siren. It was loud and barking, spanking the ear drums of anyone. Then it happened, with a loud boom the mountain screamed in tremor destroying itself in pieces to atoms, dust and smoke storming out. Like one, thousands of shadowy figures, their silhouettes seen through the smoke and dust as they crawled, jumped, hopped and shot out wide in the sky like a wave of terror surfing around the world shaking it in it's own.
