A shocked and confused look appeared on He Chun Hua's face the moment that she heard this.

She just looked at Lin Fan with this same shocked and confused expression on her face, as if she didn't know how to answer him.

This statement had come too suddenly from him that she was completely caught off guard.

But even when she slowly came back to her senses, she found that she wasn't able to come up with a concrete answer. That was because even she didn't know what she wanted from the boss of this gang.

It was a fact that the boss of this gang was the one that had put He Chun Hua and her family through all that suffering, but she had never once thought that she would ever be able to do anything to him.

In a way, she still considered herself a normal person that would never rise up beyond her position.

Even though she had been recruited to Lin Fan's sect, she still hadn't changed her mentality.

He Chun Hua felt more and more pressured as it seemed that everyone was looking at her. Even the thugs of the gang that had been moving the paperwork from the office upstairs had stopped to stare at her when they heard this.

They really wanted to see just what she would do.

He Chun Hua looked down at the boss of the gang who was looking up at her with a pleading look.

Even though he had his pride, he knew that his life was in the hands of this little girl who he had once tormented for money. He threw away his pride since the most important thing was naturally his life.

He Chun Hua just felt even more confused when she saw him like this.

Seeing the look on her face, Lin Fan finally took out a dagger that he threw into the ground in front of He Chun Hua. After throwing that dagger down, he said, "Go on, take it and finish him off with your own hands. If you wait any longer, then he'll just bleed to death."

He Chun Hua had a flustered look on her face when she saw the dagger being thrown into the ground in front of her.

She looked up at Lin Fan with that same flustered look, but Lin Fan just looked back at her with a calm expression on his face. It was as if he didn't care what she was thinking, he was just simply offering her this choice.

He Chun Hua hesitated for a few more seconds before picking the dagger off the ground.

As she held it, it was clear by the way that it was shaking that her hands were trembling and she was afraid to do this.

The boss of the gang could see the hesitation that was in her, so he once again started pleading with her with his eyes. It was the only thing that he could do since he was being restrained by this strange force that stopped him from doing anything else.

He Chun Hua slowly raised the dagger above her as if she was about to stab it down.

When she saw the boss of the gang like this, it slowly started to change how she saw him. At the same time, it made her remember all of the things that she had suffered at his hands during this time.

It did fill her with the feeling of wanting to take revenge on this boss of the gang.

Only there was this strange feeling that filled her at the same time that stopped her from plunging that dagger down.

It was the feeling of not deserving it.

After all, this revenge wasn't something that He Chun Hua had obtained with her own two hands, which was why she was hesitant to take it. It was almost as if it was too easy and offered up on a silver plate to her.

She didn't want that to be her life…

Even if she considered herself a normal person, she still had this bit of pride.

Or it was that she had suddenly gained this pride after seeing everything that had happened.

Perhaps being normal would have been enough for He Chun Hua in the past, but now that she saw what was available to her, now that she had seen what she could become…she didn't want to be normal anymore.

She wanted to have the same power as Lin Fan who had achieved all of this.

To do that, she couldn't let herself do something like this.

So in the end, He Chun Hua lowered her hands with the dagger in it and tossed the dagger to the side.

Lin Fan slightly knitted his brows when he saw this before saying, "What are you doing?"

"I don't deserve this, so I'm not doing it. If I want to do something like this, I'll do it when I deserve it. I at least have this pride." He Chun Hua said, but it seemed like she was saying this more for herself than for anyone else.

Lin Fan didn't say anything as he looked at her with his slightly knitted brows.

There seemed to be a trace of disappointment in his eyes, but it didn't seem like He Chun Hua cared. It seemed that she was determined with the decision that she had made, so she wouldn't change her mind now.

Even if it meant disappointing Lin Fan.

Though in reality, even though he showed this look on his face, he wasn't actually disappointed with He Chun Hua's choice. Rather, he was proud of the fact that she had made this decision for herself.

It meant that she was starting to think for herself and not just follow the stereotype that she had set for herself.

That meant that in the future, she would be able to break free of the mold that she cast for herself and achieve great things.

For someone that was supposed to be the Heaven's Chosen's companion, this was something that was expected of them.

Since the lesson was a success, Lin Fan didn't waste any more time with these gang thugs.

Instead, he looked at the boss of the gang and said, "Since she doesn't want to dirty her hands, I'll do it myself."

The boss of the gang looked like he wanted to plead for his life, but there was nothing that he could say in the end as a flame blade suddenly came out of the ground.

This dark flame blade cut right through the neck of the boss of the gang, separating his head from his body. The head rolled a few times on the ground before finally coming to a stop.

His eyes were wide open in shock, as if he couldn't believe that Lin Fan had actually killed him.

However, it was a fact that he was dead since his head had been separated from his body.

It wasn't just the boss of the gang who was killed like this, it was also the right hand of the boss that was also killed in the same way.

The two of them could be considered lucky to a certain extent since with the mortal wound that they suffered, they would have slowly bleeded out to death if they hadn't been executed. But since they were executed, they didn't have to suffer the pain of bleeding out like that.

Once he killed the two of them, Lin Fan gave one more warning to the thugs.

"Be sure to follow my instructions or else." His voice turned cold at the end of this.

After threatening the thugs, Lin Fan just waved his hand at He Chun Hua to follow him.

She took one last look at the boss of the gang before turning to follow him. As she followed him, there was a determined look that was in her eyes, as if she had made the decision that she would never be in this situation again.

She was determined to solve this matter with her own two hands in the future so she could hold her head up high.

Those were the things that Lin Fan heard as he slaughtered his way through the various gangs of the northern side of the city.

It wasn't just the one gang that He Chun Hua's family owed money to that ruled over the northern side of the city. There were many different gangs that were here ruling over these slums and some of the things that they did really crossed the line for Lin Fan.

He had already said that he would clear out all the gangs for the city lord, so he would keep his word.

But at the same time, when he read about some of the things that the gangs had done, he couldn't help taking care of the ones that were responsible. These were the kinds of people that didn't deserve to live in this world, so he would take them out of it.

When he was done and the city lord manor's people showed up, Lin Fan just simply said to them, "The rest is up to you."

The people from the city lord manor just stared in a daze at all of the chaos in front of them.
