With MUSIC to break into Marvel

Chapter 393: Chapter 393: Superhero Alliance

After joining forces with the Phoenix to take down their arch-enemy Dormammu, the heavy burden long pressing on Clark's heart finally lifted.

Upon returning to the cinematic universe, Clark took a long vacation for himself, just like he was giving the Avengers a break, temporarily setting aside major issues like Earth and cosmic safety to immerse himself once again in writing scripts and developing game backgrounds.

For him now, engaging in these activities felt less like work and more like play.

As his powers continued to grow, not only did Clark become stronger, but his mind became sharper as well. Especially after fully assimilating the six Infinity Stones, he took a significant step toward omniscience and omnipotence. Many things he didn't understand before could now be comprehended at a glance.

Take Magneto, for example; previously, when Clark saw Magneto, he just saw Magneto. But now, a mere glance was enough for him to understand almost everything that had happened to him, including that, aside from Wanda, Quicksilver, and a previously doubly shot daughter by the police, he had another daughter with almost the same powers lost to the world.

Of course, Clark wasn't interested in how many daughters old Magneto had; he mentioned it just as an example. After all, what did Magneto's daughters have to do with him, Clark?

As Clark entered work mode, the pace of movie production also accelerated. After discussions with the main members of the Avengers and the leaders of the X-Men, it was decided that Clark's cinematic universe would henceforth be known as the Primary Universe, and the X-Men's as the Mutant Universe.

The reason for designating his side as the primary was, of course, because Clark was more formidable.

The casting for the mutant series movies was straightforward; the actors could play their parts naturally. With makeup, age differences could be easily adjusted, and even special effects costs could be minimized.

Remember, progress since the 1980s wasn't limited to science and technology; makeup techniques could now make someone look decades younger or older in an instant.

In terms of game development, since Clark proposed a game framework based on the Marvel reality which was quite expansive, he, not willing to compromise and too lazy to spend much effort, left the refinement to the professionals.

Initially, a combat game named "Superhero Alliance" was launched and immediately received rave reviews.

Today, a friendly team match between the Avengers and the X-Men was taking place here.

Covered by the network spanning two parallel universes, the first official team battle between the Avengers and the X-Men commenced.

The X-Men team included top players like Cyclops, the spell-casting Storm, the combat-skilled Psylocke, the most powerful mutant Jean Grey, and the super-fast Quicksilver.

On the Avengers' side, the original members lined up, except for Tony, who was still in the universe working on Morgan Stark's creation project and couldn't join the battle. Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, and one of the game developers, the Hulk, all took their places.

Entering the game interface, Thor didn't rush to select his character but instead nearly clicked through all available heroes. He was then surprised to discover that in this game, choosing a character prompted them to speak a signature line.

His first choice was a gold and red armored icon, representing Tony.

"I am Iron Man!"

Then, trying Captain America.

"I can do this all day!"

A cute little tree person.

"I am Groot!"

...

What fun!

Although it wasn't his first time playing the game, each time he entered the character selection screen, he excitedly played around for quite a while. Only when the countdown began did he finally select his signature hero and clicked confirm.

"I am Thor, for the glory of the Norse gods!"

Hearing the character's line, Thor burst out laughing, "Indeed, I am the strongest among the Avengers. Most only have one line, but I have two! Hahaha..."

His laughter immediately drew the stern glances of his teammates.

Was this guy really over 1500 years old?

Why did he laugh so foolishly?

If his fans knew about this unserious side of him, how would they feel?

However, for the sake of team harmony, the others refrained from teasing and each selected their signature heroes.

Hawkeye: "All things in the world, hinged on one arrow!"

Captain America: "I can do this all day!"

Hulk: "No one here can beat me!"

Black Widow: "I am Iron Man!"

What?

Noticing that their teammate hadn't chosen her signature hero, the others quickly cast questioning looks at her, with Hulk looking particularly puzzled.

Facing her teammates' skeptical looks, Black Widow just shrugged nonchalantly and explained, "Tony loves to show off. He'd be really upset if he knew he missed such a great chance to steal the spotlight. As a teammate, I felt

I should help him get some screen time, even if it's just as a game character."

As they spoke, their surroundings changed dramatically.

"Welcome to Manhattan Canyon."

They found themselves in a location resembling the Avengers' helipad, with three main roads visible through the courtyard walls—these were the game's three lanes.

Urban jungle buildings flanked the sides, and various shops with open doors and alleys provided thoroughfares—it was the jungle area, filled with minor bosses for players to farm for experience, like the red buff Smith or the blue buff Brave Rog... Further ahead lay the river.

There, two formidable bosses also offered rich rewards: Apocalypse, who respawned every 6 minutes, and Thanos, every 7 minutes after death.

Their goal was to destroy the opposing team's nexus.

"Enemies will arrive on the battlefield in 30 seconds..."

"Crush them!"

...

37 minutes later, the X-Men's nexus was destroyed, and the Avengers, with their excellent team spirit, won the first battle.

But this was just the beginning. Like the NBA, the Superhero Alliance followed a best-of-seven format, with at least three more games to play.

Clark only watched one game before losing interest in continuing to spectate, let alone join in the fray. With his abilities to alter reality and manipulate time, sometimes a slight lapse could change the in-game data. Especially with probabilistic elements like critical hits, he could almost completely control them—his participation would be downright bullying.

Similarly, Wanda from both worlds was also permanently banned from the league...
