With Heaven-Defying Talent, I Actually Became Lu Xueqi

Ch. 81

Seeing this, Lin Jingyu no longer hesitated. His hands swiftly formed seals as the spiritual power within him surged like a raging tide. With a loud roar, he shouted,

“Secret Art of Spirit Explosion!”

In an instant, a fierce aura erupted from his entire body, and his presence suddenly skyrocketed by thirty percent.

Down below, Cang Song, who had been watching, nodded in satisfaction at the sight.

However, standing to the side, Tian Buyi widened his eyes in fury and bellowed,

“Cang Song! You actually taught such a Qingyun secret art to Lin Jingyu! Acting so rashly—outrageous!”

Cang Song let out a cold laugh, his expression proud.

“Although the Secret Art of Spirit Explosion is meant for those in the Upper Purity Realm, Lin Jingyu has a solid foundation and is already nearing that level. What harm is there in letting him cultivate this secret art?”

After speaking, he even glanced smugly at Tian Buyi, as if victory was already in his grasp.

Lu Xueqi, watching the arena, had a faint glint in her eyes.

She closely observed every detail of Lin Jingyu’s use of the secret art and thought to herself,

“So this is the Secret Art of Spirit Explosion? It's worth studying.”

With her Heaven-Defying Comprehension, she quickly deconstructed the operating logic of the technique. In just a few moments, she had already deduced a brand-new version—“True Art of Spirit Explosion”—a technique capable of tripling one’s strength in a short time!

Though it could only be used once per day and overuse would damage one’s meridians, the fact that it ignored realm limitations made it an undeniable asset for her.

On the arena stage, Zhang Xiaofan narrowed his eyes sharply upon seeing Lin Jingyu’s sudden rise in power.

In their previous clashes, Zhang Xiaofan had held back due to their shared history from Caomiao Village.

But now that Lin Jingyu had pulled out a killing move, Zhang Xiaofan decided inwardly.

“Since that’s how it is, I’ll stop holding back!”

Immediately, he activated the power of the Daoist, Buddhist, and Demonic paths within him. Boundless spiritual power surged into the Soul-Devouring Staff like rivers flowing into the sea.

In an instant, the staff erupted in a dazzling green light that shot into the sky, its might awe-inspiring.

Lin Jingyu’s heart trembled at the sight.

He had never imagined that, even after seemingly going all out, Zhang Xiaofan could unleash such terrifying power.

A chill rose up his spine. Clutching his sword tightly, he circulated his spiritual power at full speed.

Realizing he could no longer wait, Lin Jingyu leapt into action. Holding his Dragon-Slaying Sword, he charged at Zhang Xiaofan. Continuously executing the Qingyun Sword Technique, he unleashed waves of Dragon’s Roar, with emerald sword light pouring down on Zhang Xiaofan like a torrential storm.

Zhang Xiaofan remained calm and expressionless as he suddenly hurled the Soul-Devouring Staff.

In a flash, the staff transformed into a streak of light, shooting straight toward Lin Jingyu.

Startled, Lin Jingyu hurriedly swung his sword to deflect it.

Yet the radiant power of the staff was overwhelming. At the moment it touched the sword light, it shattered it entirely.

In the next instant, the Soul-Devouring Staff collided with the Dragon-Slaying Sword.

A thunderous “BOOM” echoed.

At the moment of impact, an immense force crashed into Lin Jingyu’s chest. He felt an unbearable pressure, his vital energy surging uncontrollably as he was blasted backward.

He was flung through the air.

Down below, Cang Song suddenly shot to his feet, his face filled with shock.

“How is this possible?”

In contrast, Tian Buyi stood up with glee, looking at Zhang Xiaofan with satisfaction before sneering at Cang Song.

“Your Lin Jingyu is too weak. So what if he used a secret art? He was more talented than my Old Seventh back then, yet look at the result now—is it him that’s lacking, or your teaching?”

Cang Song’s face turned red with rage as he glared at Tian Buyi in fury.

Lin Jingyu crashed heavily to the ground, blood gushing from his mouth.

He struggled several times to get up, but his body was limp and powerless.

In the end, under the elders’ watchful gaze, he said reluctantly,

“I concede.”

The crowd erupted in an uproar.

Disciples from Longshou Peak quickly rushed onto the stage to carry Lin Jingyu down.

Meanwhile, Dazhu Peak disciples surrounded Zhang Xiaofan, tossing him into the air repeatedly as cheers rang out in waves.

The faces of those from Longshou Peak were dark and stormy.

They had placed great hopes in Lin Jingyu, only for him to fall to Zhang Xiaofan, securing only fourth place in the Seven Peaks Tournament.

After Zhang Xiaofan’s victory, Lu Xueqi merely cast him a glance before withdrawing her gaze and quietly waiting.

An elder on the stage proclaimed loudly,

“In this round of the Seven Peaks Tournament, Dazhu Peak’s Zhang Xiaofan is the winner!”

Then he sternly continued,

“If any of you wish to celebrate, leave the arena! There is still one more match today!”

Only then did everyone remember—the next match was the long-awaited duel between Lu Xueqi and Qi Hao.

This was the true highlight of the event.

The disciples quickly cleared the arena to make space.

Lin Jingyu looked at Zhang Xiaofan with a face full of unwillingness.

In the previous bout, he had been completely overpowered, leaving him both stunned and angry.

He tried to probe mentally but couldn’t determine whether Zhang Xiaofan was also a transmigrator, though one thing was certain—the Zhang Xiaofan before him was nothing like the one in the original story.

What exactly is going on? Lin Jingyu fell into deep thought.

Although Cang Song looked displeased over Lin Jingyu’s defeat, he couldn’t deny Zhang Xiaofan’s strength.

After all, the power Zhang Xiaofan displayed in his final strike had already reached the Upper Purity Realm. Even a fully-powered Lin Jingyu might not have been able to block it.

Turning to Qi Hao, Cang Song instructed,

“Hao’er, be extremely cautious in the next match. You must do everything you can to win the championship for Longshou Peak!”

Qi Hao snapped back to reality upon hearing this, realizing his match was next. He quickly responded,

“Yes, Master!”

Even before he finished speaking, he leapt onto the arena, his gaze locked onto Lu Xueqi.

Lu Xueqi moved like a flash of light, gracefully landing on the stage.

The moment the two appeared, the atmosphere erupted, with cheers ringing out in all directions.

However, the cheers for Lu Xueqi clearly overwhelmed those for Qi Hao.

Most of Qi Hao’s supporters were from Longshou Peak or his personal followers.

Listening to the lopsided cheering, Qi Hao’s face darkened.

Though he knew deep down that he couldn’t match Lu Xueqi, the blatant favoritism from the crowd stung him, igniting a smoldering anger in his heart.

The presiding elder once again appeared and loudly declared,

“The final match of the Seven Peaks Tournament, the battle for first and second place, now begins! Longshou Peak’s Qi Hao versus Xiaozhu Peak’s Lu Xueqi!”

Even before his words had fully faded, the elder vanished from the stage, leaving it entirely to the two competitors.

Lu Xueqi stood with a cold expression, her gaze calm as she looked at Qi Hao, yet inwardly, all her senses were on high alert.

She had not forgotten how Qi Hao had ambushed her in the Back Mountain, nor could she dismiss the mysterious golden light that had once possessed him.

Though she didn’t know it, that Golden Light had already been depleted.

Qi Hao stared at the stunning beauty before him, a thousand thoughts caught in his throat, but in the end, he could only force out a single sentence:

“Qi Hao of Longshou Peak—please instruct me!”

Lu Xueqi gave a slight nod. With a gentle wave of her right hand, the Tianyao Divine Sword shot forth like a streak of light. Her voice cold, she said,

“Lu Xueqi of Xiaozhu Peak—please instruct me.”

As soon as the words were spoken, Qi Hao’s expression turned serious. His spiritual power surged forth, and the Ice Immortal Sword in his hand exploded with a brilliant cold light. Frost and snow billowed outward, transforming the entire arena into a world of ice in the blink of an eye.

Lu Xueqi’s face remained impassive, but a glint of frost flashed in her eyes.

Her loathing for Qi Hao and vigilance toward transmigrators intertwined within her, and all she wanted was to end this quickly.

With a swift movement, she gripped her sword hilt tightly—and to the astonishment of everyone watching, she suddenly drew her sword with force!

In an instant, a razor-sharp sword intent tore through the air, and a brilliant blue light shot straight into the heavens.

“Nine Heavens Profound Realm—transform into Divine Thunder, with awe-inspiring heavenly might, strike with one sword!”

Lu Xueqi stepped into the air, directly unleashing the Divine Sword Lightning Summoning True Art!

Qi Hao’s expression drastically changed upon seeing this.

He had originally intended to exchange a few moves with Lu Xueqi before surrendering gracefully. But who would’ve thought that Lu Xueqi would open with a finishing move, completely upending his plan?

Yet surrendering now would be far too humiliating. But with his current strength, how could he possibly withstand this thunderous strike?

In a panic, he glanced down at Cang Song, pleading for help.

Cang Song’s face turned grim as he turned to mock Master Shuiyue.

“What a ruthless disciple Xiaozhu Peak has raised!”

Though even Master Shuiyue was a bit surprised by Lu Xueqi’s sudden action, she still responded with a cold smile.

“Cang Song, when was it ever a rule that divine arts couldn't be used at the start of a match? If you fear Qi Hao might be hurt, why not concede early?”
