Ch. 50
“Hahaha, little girl, your strength isn’t bad. Let this old man test your abilities!”
With that, Di Shitian suddenly struck with a palm.
In the blink of an eye, high above the void, an enormous ice-cold palm print silently formed and slammed fiercely toward Lu Xueqi.
Seeing this, Lu Xueqi’s eyes narrowed slightly.
She truly hadn’t expected Di Shitian to attack her.
However, she felt not the slightest fear toward him.
Immediately, Lu Xueqi abruptly activated her spiritual power, converting it into Pure Yang Force, and likewise struck with a palm.
In that instant, a massive palm print imbued with Pure Yang Force emerged in the void, colliding head-on with the icy giant palm.
A thunderous boom resounded as Lu Xueqi’s Pure Yang palm and Di Shitian’s ice palm clashed.
The outcome of this clash astonished Di Shitian.
His giant ice palm shattered instantly beneath Lu Xueqi’s Pure Yang palm.
Then, with unrelenting momentum, the Pure Yang palm continued its charge toward Di Shitian.
Di Shitian’s expression shifted dramatically.
Before Lu Xueqi’s strike could land on him, his body suddenly dispersed into countless particles that flitted about and vanished into thin air.
Yet Lu Xueqi’s terrifying palm force still swept across some of those particles in the void.
Where they were struck, droplets of blood appeared in the air.
At the same time, the scattered light particles fled the range of the Pure Yang palm and regrouped a hundred meters away, reassembling into Di Shitian’s form.
Only now, his condition looked quite dire.
No sooner had his body reformed than he violently coughed up a mouthful of blood, then looked at Lu Xueqi with shock.
He simply couldn’t comprehend it—his creation, the Four Absolutes of the Sacred Heart, was incomparably powerful, allowing him to convert his body into particles to evade attacks.
In past battles with other powerhouses, this move had worked flawlessly; no one could harm him. So why had it failed against Lu Xueqi?
What Di Shitian didn’t know was that although Lu Xueqi’s palm had indeed been a Pure Yang strike powered by spiritual energy, hidden within it was an extremely potent force of mental power.
That spiritual force had instantly destroyed the remnants of Di Shitian’s consciousness embedded in those particles.
It was precisely because of this that he had been grievously wounded in an instant.
After wounding Di Shitian, Lu Xueqi slowly withdrew her palm.
She gazed at the few droplets of blood suspended in the void, seeming to sense something. With a casual flick of her hand, she summoned the blood into her palm.
As she focused her senses, her eyes suddenly brightened—she had discovered something she wanted within the blood.
However, Lu Xueqi did not delve into research immediately. With a wave of her right hand, she stored the blood away and looked once more at Di Shitian.
Seeing her actions, Di Shitian’s expression shifted again, yet he didn’t dare attack.
He was now certain that Lu Xueqi had the power to truly kill him. His fear of her now far surpassed even that of Wu Wudi from centuries past.
Though Wu Wudi had been able to defeat him, he couldn’t take his life. But Lu Xueqi could.
After a brief moment of thought, Di Shitian’s body once again transformed into streaks of light, fleeing far into the distance.
He no longer wished to continue this exchange with Lu Xueqi.
Lu Xueqi watched him flee, yet did not give chase.
She knew clearly that although she had the power to slay Di Shitian, his ability to escape death was formidable.
To truly kill him would require considerable time—time she did not wish to waste on him.
Besides, she believed that once Xiong Ba had matured, he certainly wouldn’t let Di Shitian go.
Lu Xueqi slowly withdrew her gaze and turned to look in the direction of the Sword Saint, Wuming, and the others.
When they sensed her gaze, all of their expressions subtly shifted.
The two exchanged a glance, then their figures flickered and shot off into the distance, without the slightest intention of engaging Lu Xueqi.
Everything they had seen and heard today had utterly overturned their understanding.
Xiong Ba’s strength was already terrifying, and Duan Lang was not far behind.
Then came Lu Xueqi and Di Shitian, whose overwhelming power had completely reshaped their perception of this world.
Only after Sword Saint and Wuming hastily departed did Lu Xueqi turn her head toward Xiong Ba and nod slightly in acknowledgment.
“Those rats have all left.”
Upon hearing this, Xiong Ba couldn’t help but feel pleased. Although he was extremely confident that he would one day be able to suppress these people, at present, he was still a bit weaker.
Now that Lu Xueqi had made a move and intimidated them, it made them even more wary of the Tianxia Society.
“Thank you.”
Xiong Ba quickly returned the gesture with gratitude.
Seeing this, Lu Xueqi nodded slightly. Just as she was about to leave this world, she suddenly recalled the Fire Qilin within Lingyun Cavern.
The Qingyun Sect already kept a Water Qilin. If she could subdue and bring back the Fire Qilin, the two would complement each other—surely a majestic sight.
A thought sprouted in her heart.
She immediately asked,
“Xiong Ba, do you have any thoughts about that Fire Qilin?”
Xiong Ba was briefly stunned by the question, then shook his head and said,
“Though that Fire Qilin is remarkable, it neither grants longevity nor can its blood be used without driving people to madness. It’s not what I seek.
In contrast, I covet the Divine Dragon, one of the Four Great Beasts. Once my strength improves, I may attempt to slay a dragon.”
After speaking, he countered,
“Miss Lu, are you interested in the Qilin?”
Lu Xueqi nodded and explained,
“To be honest with you, Sect Leader Xiong, the Qingyun Sect already raises a Water Qilin.
That’s why I want to capture the Fire Qilin and bring it back. I wonder if Sect Leader Xiong would be willing to allow it?”
Xiong Ba readily replied,
“If Miss Lu wants it, go ahead and take it. That Fire Qilin doesn’t belong to me anyway.”
“In that case, many thanks, Sect Leader Xiong.”
Lu Xueqi expressed her gratitude, then added,
“Might I trouble you for a map to Lingyun Cavern?”
“I’ll have someone fetch one.”
Xiong Ba immediately summoned Wen Chouchou.
“Chouchou, go get a map of Lingyun Cavern for Miss Lu.”
Wen Chouchou answered with a quick “Yes,” gave Lu Xueqi a curious glance, and hurried off.
Before long, Wen Chouchou returned with a detailed map, not only marking the location of Lingyun Cavern but also outlining a clear travel route.
Lu Xueqi took the map and scanned it swiftly with her spiritual sense, memorizing the path. She nodded slightly, quite approving of Wen Chouchou’s efficiency.
“Thank you again, Sect Leader Xiong.”
She said once more.
Xiong Ba waved his hand.
“No need to be so formal, Miss Lu. Would you like me to send someone to guide you?”
Lu Xueqi politely declined.
“No need to trouble yourself. I already know the route and can go on my own.”
Xiong Ba didn’t press the issue further and simply nodded.
Lu Xueqi tapped lightly with her right hand, and the Tianyao Divine Sword floated beneath her feet.
She leapt onto it, transforming into a stream of light as she soared toward Lingyun Cavern.
By now, chaos had erupted within the Tianxia Society.
The experts from various sects who had followed Duan Lang, seeing the tide turn, scattered in retreat.
Meanwhile, Qin Shuang and the other Tianxia Society experts were ordered to pursue and kill them. The casualties among the various sects were heavy.
Resentment filled their hearts as they cursed Duan Lang’s incompetence.
Who would have thought he’d be defeated so quickly?
