As he set foot on the other side of the portal Carter felt weird. Everything felt so strange coming back, the air tasted and smelt different, the gravity felt slightly weaker, and the sun was unusually bright. "Where did you put me?" He asked looking at Dave who walked out before closing the portal.

"I brought you to the park where you and Ryukyu would train, give you some space to figure out what you're going to do with yourself. Maybe blow off some steam, I don't know and don't care what you do, just keep the boss man happy." He said as Carter scratched his skin, it felt weird having his full power back after not having it for so long. Pull up my stats [Very well]

He noticed a few changes but he asked a question that had been bugging him, "How long have I been gone?" He looked to Dave for an answer who started counting on his fingers, "You've been gone for about two and a half weeks, almost a month give or take, the school festival should be going on right now at UA." He said before stretching, "Well kid it was fun, but I still got a REAL job to do so imma bounce, see ya!" He waved before stepping through a new portal as Carter stood among the trees, organizing his thoughts.

The night sky was peaceful as Carter flew high above the city. Though a small but vocal part of him wanted to rush back to UA and see the people that he was starting to miss, the rational part of his brain won in the end. So here he was flying around above the city as he scrolled on his phone, catching up with everything that had happened in the past few weeks.

Though nothing ground breaking had happened, he did notice how villains who were known to have dangerous quirks had started to disappear. He wondered for a moment if the Foundation or the Children had started 'recruiting' but he didn't think they would be dumb enough to do that while he was still in Japan. He did consider that maybe the League of Villains could be involved but they were probably running around trying to fix AFO after he escaped so he didn't suspect them, but didn't forget about them either.

After flying for about an hour he glided over to UA and sat in the air a few hundred feet above the dorms, despite the moon being out and there not being a cloud in the sky, he knew that none of his classmates would see him up here, but he did know someone who did.

A few minutes later a small drone climbed up to sit near him as he noticed a small camera mounted on the frame, along with a speaker and microphone. "Good to see you too chimera." He said as a giggle sounded from the drone. "It's good to see you again young Carter, though you look much older than the last time I laid eyes upon you, how have you been?" Nezu asked as he piloted the drone from a laboratory deep under UA.

"I have been well, though it's good to be home." He said honestly as Nezu hummed, "And yet you don't go down to your classmates, why is that?" He asked but Carter didn't answer. "Do you have a side door I could use, I need to contact Cathleen before she realizes I'm here and goes ballistic." He asked as Nezu laughed and had the drone lead him down through side passage ways and secret tunnels until he was face to face with the Principal himself.

"You HAVE gotten older!" Nezu said as he circled Carter, "At first I thought it was just the bad quality of a thrown together camera but no, you seem to have aged quite a bit since you've been gone." He said as he finished his inspection before scurrying over to his chair. "Please take a seat, we have much to talk about!" Carter took a seat and sighed as his back hit the comfortable leather chair, much better than the finest seats of Atheia.

"I presume that the dilation effect is much stronger than anticipated if you've aged this much, how long was it for you?" Nezu asked as Carter sighed, "A little under 21 years." Nezu blinked. Then blinked again, he hadn't expected that.

"I can't imagine what you have been through during all that time, but if you ever need someone to talk to both I and Midnight are certified therapists should you need it." He said quietly as Carter nodded. "How long has it been here? How did Cathleen react?" He asked as Nezu smiled, "For us you've only been gone for a little under a month, and Cathleen almost leveled UA but Toshinori and the Dave fellow managed to calm her down." Carter smiled at that.

Since he was a child Cathleen had always been aware of where he was, she may not always approve of where he was or what he was doing, but she was aware nonetheless. "What about the others?" He asked as Nezu's grin grew, "Well young Bakugo has seen a drop in test scores recently, not much but enough to notice." He teased as Carter shrugged, he didn't care much if at all.

"As for the others, we told them that you were required for something urgent in the US, and that you would not be back for the foreseeable future, a few questioned it but most carried on though they seemed to lack enthusiasm during training." Carter snorted at that, he had gone about 15 years before he started to wonder what they were up to, and they started missing him so soon. He didn't look forward to the mountain of questions that surely awaited him once he was back in class.

"So now what will you do? The school festival is in a week, you could join that class and have them squeeze you in at the last minute." Nezu asked but Carter shook his head, that was the last thing he wanted to do. "I'd rather just fly around and clear my head before coming back to this headache, plus I'm going to experiment and see if I can reverse my face to not freak them out." He said as Carter grinned, "Yes, I imagine you would have more than just Bakugo and Yoayorozu seeking your hand in marriage after showing them this face." Carter felt his eye twitch as Nezu laughed, "Aizawa told you about that?" Nezu nodded, "Yes, he shared it with the faculty when we had the meeting to discuss how the parents felt about the dorms, it was quite the spectacle." He said with a grin as Carter sighed and stood up.

"Send a message to Cathleen please, and tell her not to rush over. I'll contact her once the festival is over with." He said over his shoulder as he left, making his way back though the false doors and hidden tunnels before he was back out in the open air and flying free again.
