Chapter : BEFORE YOU READ: Magic System 101
BEFORE YOU READ: Magic System 101
(Because I'm not stuffing chapters with lore dumps)
Listen up, reader!
Before you start reading the chapters and get confused like "Wait—why is that guy throwing fireballs and this one punching with lightning?!" — here's your Magic Crash Course, Ezra-style™.
Let's go! 🍿
❓Q: What is magic in this world?
A: Magic = Copying nature using mana.
Wanna throw fire? Create water from thin air? Make wind?
Do it with mana.
No mana = No magic.
This ain't science, bro—it's fantasy energy logic.
❓Q: So can anyone learn magic?
A: Technically yes… but it's complicated.
If you have a core (which everyone does), you can produce mana.
If you can produce mana—you can learn magic.
Mage or warrior—doesn't matter. Mana is for everyone.
❓Q: Then why isn't everyone a mage?
A: Because to learn magic, you need an element.
Everyone is born with a natural element based on their personality or "nature."
You can't pick your element.
Say you want fire magic?
System be like:
"Based on your soft and emotional nature… you get water." 💧
❓Q: What are the elements?
A: There are 6 main elements:
🔥 Fire (also includes thunder)
🌊 Water (includes ice)
💨 Air
🪨 Earth
🌞 Light
🌚 Darkness
Some lucky people get more than one.
Marcus Ardent? Yeah, that guy got all 6. Total cheat code.
❓Q: What about Ezra's element?
A: Surprise! 🎉
Ezra was born without any element. 😶
Why? That's a secret. You'll find out in future chapters.
(Author whispers: It's plot-relevant.)
❓Q: Then why does Ezra want to learn magic?
A: Because magic is cool.
Also, non-elemental magic exists—and he can learn that.
Even without an element.
❓Q: Non-elemental magic? What's that?
A: Magic that doesn't rely on elements. Examples:
🌀 Space Magic (teleportation, storage, etc.)
⏳ Time Magic (super rare)
🧠 Mana Sense (radar for magical energy)
🙊 Mana Suppression (ninja vanish mode)
Most people ignore it because it's hard or "not flashy enough."
But Ezra? He sees value in it. That's why he's different.
❓Q: Why does the academy teach non-elemental magic to students?
A: Because students are mostly low-rank noobs right now.
They don't have good mana control yet.
Direct mana manipulation? Not happening. That comes with time and cultivation.
So instead, the academy says:
"Let's teach them small non-elemental stuff first. At least they won't die if they use it wrong."
They just want fast, battle-ready students who can be thrown into war.
Yep—humanity's at war, remember?
Train fast → fight demons → survive → repeat.
💡Final Thought (From the Author):
So yeah, instead of wasting 3 chapters explaining this in serious tones, I dumped it here.
Now go enjoy the story—because Ezra's gonna shake the magic world in ways no one expects.
And remember:
Magic is cool, but Ezra is cooler.
