Who let him join the Sword Sect?!

Chapter 209: Magical Creatures in the Ditch_3

This group of immortal cultivation bigshots are the same when it comes to appearances, divided into two factions.

The traditionalists prefer to go with the flow; if someone's an old man, they're just an old man, and having an elder at home is like having a treasure.

The reformists, on the other hand, believe that while you may age, your heart doesn't have to. Staying youthful is the way to go.

Although Qin Lang shares the reformist view on outward appearance with the Sword Sect Leader, his mindset and way of handling matters are much more old-school.

"Why are you in such a hurry? Let me think about it," Qin Lang turned around to look at Li Wenzhou and sighed.

"What's there to think about? It's not a big deal, just helping to check a prescription."

Straightforward Li Wenzhou got a bit agitated seeing Qin Lang's demeanor.

"Instead of asking me, why don't you ask the Taoists on Dragon Tiger Mountain? They dig everywhere and can probably dig up what you want.

"East Continent... or rather, our Medicine King Valley currently has no clue about the Dream Origin Pill.

Qin Lang sat down and leisurely poured a cup of tea for Li Wenzhou.

"The west might have some clues about this thing. After all, during that big east-west battle years ago, we left behind a lot of stuff there."

"Then why don't you go and ask?" questioned Li Wenzhou.

"Not going, recently had some unpleasantness with them over there; could get into a fight if I go," Qin Lang shook his head.

Qin Lang seemed unwilling to discuss the matter further and found a pretext to change the subject.

"Why don't you ask your son? Isn't he over there living the quiet life with my niece?"

Mentioning his son made Li Wenzhou's gums hurt as well.

If he could find him, he would have done so already.

But from Qin Lang's words, Li Wenzhou sensed something different; he felt Qin Lang seemed overly indifferent to the matter.

This old quack seemed to be fishing, with hidden meanings in his words.

Thinking of this, Li Wenzhou didn't linger; after drinking the medicinal tea in front of him, he tossed the tea cup onto the table.

"Terrible taste, I'm leaving!"

Just as he stood up, sure enough, Qin Lang stopped him again.

"Don't rush, I didn't say I wouldn't help."

"Spit it out already!"

"Let's do some business first. If it works out, I'll help you ask over in the west."

Li Wenzhou furrowed his brows, thinking this old quack was up to no good.

"What business?"

"Sell me a piece of land."

"Where?"

"Spirit Deer Valley."

"Get lost!"

Li Wenzhou looked at him with an expression that said he must be crazy; with a flip of his hand, the small walnut his granddaughter gifted him appeared in his hand.

There were some photos on it.

Li Jue stood there like a wooden figure, being instructed by Xia Yan to stay still.

Zhang Ze was squatting by the pond having a water fight with the Little Qilin, with an even smaller Qilin perched on his head.

Led by Elder Han, the elders were engaged in conversation with the giant turtle, Zhu Luo.

Li Wenzhou stuffed the small walnut into his bosom.

"If you help me, I'm not an unreasonable person. I'll mark a spot in Spirit Deer Valley for you to plant whatever you like."

Seeing his attempt to snag a deal failing, Qin Lang didn't feel embarrassed, agreeing straightforwardly.

"Alright, I'll help you check, but I can't guarantee results. But I get to choose where the medicine garden is marked."

"I'll decide the size," Li Wenzhou stared at Qin Lang.

"Agreed, agreed."

...

After the deal was settled, Qin Lang stood alone by the window, lips moving slightly as he gazed at the scenery in the valley.

Before long, a white figure appeared behind Qin Lang.

The woman had white hair and red eyes, her voice somewhat lazy.

"Master called me, what are your orders?"

"Xiaoxue, go to the West Continent and find out where my niece is. Then head to Medicine King Valley to find your junior sister Xia Yan and help us pick a piece of land in Spirit Deer Valley."

After Qin Lang finished speaking, there was a long silence behind him.

"Can I not go?" The voice sounded quite aggrieved.

Qin Lang asked, "Why?"

"I'm lazy..." Xiaoxue replied.

"Moving around more will be good for you; go on, go on." Qin Lang coaxed her like a child.

"Master, why don't you go?" Xiaoxue was puzzled.

"Beast Taming Sect is too far, and I'm too lazy to go."

"Isn't the west pretty close?"

"West is even less possible; I still owe someone something there, could get into a fight if I go."

"Oh."

Xiaoxue sighed and reluctantly shuffled out of the cottage.

Outside the valley, Xiaoxue's figure split into two; the two Xiaoxues looked at each other and sighed in unison.

"Are you going to the west or the north?" one Xiaoxue asked.

"Don't know." The other shook her head, "Old rule, rock-paper-scissors it is."

"Okay."

"Rock, paper, scissors..."
