Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Aftermath
"Argh~ It hurts, Vale~"
I pat Yasaka's head and say.
"There. There. It will be gone in a few minutes."
"What the hell is that man? He fights all of us like nothing! If only I had access to Kyoto's Ley Line! I will defeat him!"
Because she is here, Yasaka cannot enter her true form for too long, and she cannot release her attack too much either, or her true form will disappear faster. However, even with access to Kyoto's Ley Line, I don't think she can defeat him.
"That man is Euclid Lucifuge. He is a veteran of the Devil's Civil War. He sides with the Old Satan Faction."
"How do you know that?"
"I read his name in the book about the Devil when I met a young devil master who ordered an attack on me and my family using the werewolves."
And I am not lying. Euclid has a reputation in the Devil's Civil War for his excellent tactics and support that prevent the New Satan Faction from bulldozing his faction. Even the writer admits that without him, the New Satan Faction would win faster, and the writer openly hates the Old Satan Faction.
"He might not actively fight on the front line, but he is still a very powerful fighter."
Yasaka frowns but nods her head in acceptance.
"It looks like I still need a lot of training if I want to match against him."
"You and I both, dear. Even without me spending all my energy from the previous fight, I don't think I can defeat him. Injure him? I can do that. Defeat him or even kill him? That would be a miracle."
"You underestimated your power too much, Vale."
"Maybe, but I'd rather overestimate my opponent than underestimate them."
"Fair enough."
She looks at the destroyed castle in front of us and says.
"What should we do with this thing? I can feel something foul underneath the castle."
I look at it for a few seconds before looking at Karina and say.
"Can you rebuild the castle if we destroy it?"
Karina looks at me and says.
"We can do that. However, it will take a month or two. Even with magic, this kind of building requires a lot of energy and resources if we build it from the ground up."
"But you can do that."
"Yes. We can do that."
"How much will it be? I also want to know how much it cost us to reinforce the castle and create barriers around it."
"The full package, then. I don't know how much. I need to talk to the director before I give you the answer. Depending on if you provide us with the resource or not, the price can be high or low."
"Right. Go ahead and memorize the castle. We will use this place as a base against the Carmilla Faction."
"Then we need to check the foul energy from the basement of the castle first before my people can do the job."
I nod, and we walk to the castle. I take my guardians with me; the same goes for Yasaka, and Karina takes her two trusted people with her. We enter the castle and follow the foul energy coming from underneath us.
After entering Sage Mode, my senses are still strong, and I can follow the foul energy. After searching the basement area, we find a hidden door in the corner of the room. When we entered, my nose immediately picked up a foul smell.
I create a dome of Sky Flames to purify the smell as we walk deeper into this hidden underground room. However, our journey does not last long as we see a massive room full of dead bodies.
All of them are mutilated, and their faces are full of agony. I look at the nearest corpse and feel anger bursting through my chest at the sight of it. The corpse has its chest wide open. Its ribs point upwards. Its fingers are all gone, and one of his eyes dangling outside of its socket.
"This is sick."
I look at Luca and say.
"Luca, destroy this place."
"With pleasure, boss."
His face is full of cold fury, and when he steps forward, he releases a wave of Storm Flame that destroys all the corpses and the cages in this place. Yasaka looks at me and says,
"I shall send a group of people to let the souls of these people pass to the afterlife. You cannot see it, but I can see them screaming in pain because of what the vampires have done to them."
"Please do that, Yasaka. If you can, tell them to arrive today. Give those poor souls the rest they deserve."
"I will."
After Luca finishes destroying everything in this place, I release a wave of Sky Flame to purify this place from the foul energy in this place.
"There are more, Vale."
I look at Yasaka and say,
"Lead the way."

|3rd POV|
After defeating the majority of the Tepes Faction, the Millefiore Family decided to clear the Transylvania region of Romania. Slowly but surely, the Millefiore became the ruler of half of Romania while the Carmilla Faction still ruled the other half.
With the Eastern and Southern parts of Romania under the control of the Millefiore Family, trade started to open up. The first one to trade with them is the Greek Pantheon under the permission of Apollo. The second one to open for trade is the Golden Dawn organization. Karina recommended this action after she and her group finished rebuilding Bran Castle.
Not only that, Golden Dawn also created a branch in Romania. They stay in Brașov and help the Millefiore family in battling the monsters that spawn around the country.
The relationship between the West Youkai Faction and the Millefiore Family grows stronger as Vale and Yasaka grow closer. With the knowledge from Jiraiya, Vale gives his knowledge of Ninjutsu, and in return, Yasaka gives his people Chakras seed that can awaken the Chakra path in someone.
Vale also summons the Toad Clan into this territory and explains the situation to them. He tells them that he can summon them through a way I do not disclose. They accept the half-truth Vale gives them and even do not push him to tell them the full truth. They are willing to work with him as long as he does not force them to do something they despise, and there is rarely a thing they are not willing to do.
With the help of the toad, Millefiore Territory slowly becomes a haven for all Youkai as the natural energy in this place gets even more clean and pure.
This growth gets the attention of the big factions around the world. Among them is the Devil Faction. Previously, they had a good relationship with Vampire Factions, both of them. Sadly, with one of them getting destroyed and the second faction wanting their help, the Four Satans get together and have a meeting.
"And that is the content of the letter we receive. What do you think?"
Serafall completes her report and looks at her fellow Satans.
"It is an easy answer, no?"
Falbium Asmodeus looks at her lazily and continues.
"We will not do anything. They only come to us when they need something and never once answer our summons when we need them. Let them die and make the world a better place. Fighting an unknown faction is risky, even when they are human factions. I suggest we ignore Carmilla's faction plea and create a good relationship with the Millefiore Family."
As Satan takes care of Military Affairs, he knows that they will win if they support the Carmilla Faction, but it will cost them. He knows that the Millefiore Family is able to defeat the Tepes Clan, and that information is enough for him to reject the plea from the Carmilla clan.
He doesn't want to waste his men's lives against enemies that are strong enough to be considered a mid-sized faction for an unreliable 'friend.'
"And I agree with Falbium."
Sirzerch nods his head and continues.
"Helping them will waste resources, time, and lives. We are only friends on paper because of the familiar nature of our two races. We don't need their friendship. The Millefiore Family, on the other hand…"
Ajuka nods his head and says.
"I agree. If we have a good relationship with them, I can get access to their technology. It is something that requires my attention."
The three of them roll their eyes because they know the only reason why Ajuka chose this decision is because of the news of a new machine that appeared in Japan.
Serafall nods and says.
"Then we are in agreement. We will ignore the Carmilla Faction and try to make good relations with the Millefiore Family."
