Where is my wife going

Avner looked at her hoping not to hear those words that were about to come out of her mouth while Nephthys couldn't look him in the eyes for more than a few seconds because she knew this was going to hurt him deeply 

" Your mom really did all the work, you don't look a bit like me "

" That's enough talking "

the emperor finally had enough and was the first to attack that was all that was needed for hell to break, everyone started fighting 

" What a beautiful view, would you like to join ? "

he asked Nephthys 

" Let's see whom I should make you attack….the emperor or maybe the secretary….Oh I know "

 He smiled mischievously

" How about Avner, my son? you know I really want to see if he at least got his fighting spirit from me or else I would get jealous of my wife for being the main DNA donor to my kid "

he made a swift motion of his hand and her eyes started glowing again her body then soon began to move towards Avner, she was getting closer and closer but he never moved an inch as if anticipating her moves 

Nephthys took out her sword however Avner still did not move an inch 

*swif* 

" Avner !! " 

his cousins called desperately when they saw that sword stabbing him….except she didn't. The sword just moved past him making it look like she stabbed him 

" Why would you do that….? "

Avner and Nephthys never moved from their positions, she was still holding the sword on his side and he was still standing still, they were very close to each other close enough to hear the heartbeats 

" Do what ? "

they were talking calmly with each other but you could feel all the emotions going through their heart 

" Why….just why would you look with those eyes at me ...what if I really were to attack you ? "

" You already know….why I'm always looking at you like that…."

it was as if the world had just stopped at that very moment and they were the only once existing right now 

" Nephthys I love you, with all my heart. I love you so much that it hurts me, it hurts me when I see you suffer, it hurts me when I know you're in pain and it hurts me even more when you are not near me….I not only want you but I need you, I need you to survive….you've become my air. I know what that man has done to you and if it can ease your heart you can kill me, his son, you can make sure to erase his bloodline by killing me alongside him. You don't need to keep it inside any longer, let it all out. Do whatever you need to do to free yourself from this nightmare…."

at his words, a tear couldn't help but fall from her eyes but he never saw it because they never looked each other in the eyes. Nephthys just let her head fall on his shoulder 

" What an idiot ... .I never intended to kill you, you never did anything wrong and if that guy did anything good in his whole life then that would be creating you ... .I would never want to hurt you so never do that again just waiting for me to kill you…."

Interestingly enough everyone stopped fighting just to listen to them confessing to each other, even the demons were enjoying this 

" Look at our Avner, sniff, he has finally grown….I can't believe he found his soulmate while I am still single " 

Amabilis couldn't help himself but cry to his cousin Miyeon 

" Alright, alright. That's enough you're embarrassing me in front of the enemies "

Miyeon is about to deal with three embarrassments

" Ahh….I can't believe our Nephthys finally found someone she doesn't wanna kill "

Avners father was trying to take control over Nephthys again and make her attack her family but it was in vain

" Just stop making a fool of yourself already "

Nephthys finally put her attention to him 

" This won't work on me, it never did to begin with "

" And stop putting up this buffon act, I know this isn't you " 

" And how exactly do you know who the real me is ? "

" I've been tracking you for over a decade….in those years I got to learn a thing or two about you "

" Do you really think you and your family can survive this ? as the emperor already said you are on my territory "

the goofy guy was gone completely the one talking right now was pure evil 

Nephthys gave a little smirk at him showing his true colors 

" Do you really think I would risk getting the people I care about killed ? "

" Looks like I have underestimated you again…."

he understood. The only reason nephthys got caught by him was because she wanted him to catch her 

"I've been trying so hard to find you these past years but no matter how many of your people I killed or no matter where I looked I could never find you….you were just like….a rat "

" Careful, if you keep talking about your obsession with me….you may get my son jealous "

" Why were you trying to get Avner ? after all he is the only reason you captured me "

" And what makes you feel that way ? Why wouldn't I want you, my most precious experiment back ? "

" I destroyed all your hideouts, killed all your people but you never batted an eye however it all changed one day when you attacked the mansion, those demons were only targeting Avner…..that's the important work you were dealing with back then back when I escaped. Even then you didn't bat a single eyelash because you were busy looking for Avner but you never found him. Your wife's sister was the most obvious hideout and yet you never attacked till now….why?….because of your wife ? you couldn't recognize him because your wife was protecting him from you ? "

" You only revealed yourself to me when i was standing in your way to getting Avner "

maybe it was because he was getting impatient maybe it was because he was feeling vulnerable….but he was getting more and more irritated, it was getting harder and harder to keep his cool so he was the first to attack he threw something that looked like a ice ball maybe, it was too fast to really recognize exactly what it was but Avner made sure to block the attack before it could hit her 

" Are you going to fight alongside her ? "

his father asked him 

" Is that even supposed to be a question, I thought it was already clear "

Avner was not going to turn his back on Nephthys for a man he saw for the first time and especially after knowing what kind of man he is 

" Don't you want to know why your mother died ? "

" Me knowing the reason won't bring her back to life and I already talked to mom "

surprisingly his face showed an emotion that was not expected, what was it….sadness….hope however it was short lived 

" Very well I tried to save you since you are my son but if you decided to fight with them then you will also die with them "

He looked at his disciple and he did not fail his master, he attacked Avner but Avner was a lot stronger then he used to be 

" How interesting….looks like you may actually be useful "

he mostly talked to himself when he said that but Nephthys couldn't stand seeing his face any longer. Because of him she was technically half demon, because of him her mother transformed into a demon, because of him her brother died….and now people who she has dear may die as well 

" Did you really think it was this easy to get to me ? "

before she could attack him, she herself was attacked by his disciples and demons 

" No matter how hard you try you will fail, you will never win in life "

Nephthys got hurt on the leg which caused her to fall on one knee 

" Nephthys ! "

Avner called and tried to get to her but that was no easy job since he too was surrounded 

" Did you really think you had a chance ? now watch everyone you love die before your eyes….again "

Avner s father got down to her level and made sure she knew what a grave mistake she made 

" Not only them but everyone will die, I have demons everywhere around the country waiting for my signals to attack "

his eyes became golden and soon after went back to normal 

" Ups. I think I just gave them the signal "

Nephthys finally looked him in the eyes 

" Are you finally losing your mind now that you know everyone is going to die because of you ? "

her sudden laugh didn't sit well with him
