When You Become an NPC That Might Die Any Moment in the Novice Village

Bai Fu's power had increased rapidly and already far surpassed that of an ordinary S-level Superpower User, yet under normal circumstances, capturing an S-level Superpower User alive was not an easy feat.

The ease of capturing Sean this time could be attributed to three main reasons.

The first reason was, of course, that Sean had been too careless. He had been struck by a heavy blow from Big Black Fu right from the start and had subsequently become encircled by the Spiritual Ability Army.

The third reason was that Bai Fu's Advanced Force Field, once fully upgraded, was terrifyingly strong. Even Sean, as an S-level Superpower User, couldn't break free from the Force Field instantly and could only watch helplessly as Bai Fu rewarded him with a kick.

What a pain in the ass!

Rage was boiling inside Sean.

He could never have imagined that not long ago, he was boasting in front of the Trolla about grabbing the Ulysses back, only to turn around and find himself dizzy and disoriented from the beating, and even physically humiliated. It was an unbearable disgrace.

Sean struggled with all his might, trying to knock Bai Fu away.

However, he was not a Power-type Superpower User to begin with, and after being continuously beaten by the Spiritual Ability Army and impacted by Bai Fu's Dark Attribute Spiritual Energy debuff, his Power attribute became even lower.

Power 153, which was rated not even as good as one of Bai Fu's toes geared with Spiritual Ability Construction. After all, no matter how much Sean struggled, he couldn't even shake one of Bai Fu's toes.

Failing to break free, he had to try a different approach.

"This is a misunderstanding, really, I'm not with Secret Tower. You've got it wrong. I'm the founder of Sean Trading Company, our company is well-known throughout the Initial Gate Star System, and we have trade relations with Titan Industry. You can check if you don't believe me."

Sean kept pleading, with a smile on his face that was akin to begging.

Bai Fu remained unmoved. At her signal, two Gunners stepped forward, raised their long guns, and thrust downward fiercely. Blood sprayed as Sean's legs were brutally pierced and severed.

"It really is a misunderstanding!"

Sean screamed in agony.

Bai Fu's gaze fell on Trolla. "What do you say? If I find the Dissociative Potion base in the spaceship, it will be too late for you to admit then."

Trolla, who was slumped on the ground, hesitated.

He saw the murderous intent in Sean's eyes—a threat from Secret Tower—which made his body uncontrollably shiver. But after much deliberation, he felt that Bai Fu's long legs were more intimidating than Sean's glare.

Even if Sean glared his eyeballs out, he couldn't harm Trolla now, but Bai Fu could genuinely pierce his skull with the 5 or 6 centimeters thick heel of her boot.

"It's in the cooling chamber. I secretly built a laboratory there!"

Trolla sent the map of the mining ship to Bai Fu.

Upon receiving the map, Bai Fu directed Big Black Fu to pin down Trolla and then swiftly carried Trolla toward the secretive laboratory.

Minutes later, she indeed found a red sphere enclosed in glass within the laboratory, with several Ulyssian corpses beside it.

"You've been capturing Ulysses to cultivate the base of the Dissociative Potion?" Bai Fu inquired.

Trolla nodded quickly. "People from Secret Tower said that the Ulyssians have a very special gene. A certain non-replicable substance extracted from their bodies could promote the growth of the base."

"Why does Secret Tower want to cultivate this base?"

"I don't know. They didn't tell me."

"Fine, I'll ask you another question. Why did Secret Tower entrust you and Singularity Company with cultivating the base, instead of doing it themselves?"

"I'm not very clear on the specifics. I'm just guessing. Based on some things Sean had said, there should be two reasons. The most important reason might be that gathering these bases together seems to cause undesirable events. A secondary reason could probably be that cultivating them separately could avoid drawing attention to themselves, thus preventing their goals from being exposed."

As soon as Trolla finished speaking, Bai Fu received a notification for the completion of the [Giant Beast!] task and the trigger for a subsequent task.

This was a main task. She could forgo doing it, but she couldn't be without it!

Next, Bai Fu opened another main task published by Vic on the task panel. After clarifying the reason behind the Trolla Pirate Group's capture of Ulyssians, the progress percentage of that main task jumped by a whole 4 percent, from 12.1% to 16.1%.

"Although I haven't triggered the next phase of Vic's task yet, the information already known suggests that after rescuing enough Ulyssians, the next stage will involve taking on Secret Tower."

Only by taking down Secret Tower can the Ulyssians truly avert the crisis of annihilation.

Speaking of Secret Tower, Bai Fu remembered a news story she had seen before.
