When "God" Decides To Start Over

Although larger gemstones are generally more valuable, it's hardly worth using them to open the Trial Gate for most people; they're usually just used to feed the Demon Spirits.

When used to feed Demon Spirits, buying smaller rubies is clearly more cost-effective. Therefore, Li Xiu's Ruby Ball, despite appearing priceless, is quite the challenge to sell.

If sold cheaply, Li Xiu wouldn't be willing; if sold expensively, no one would want to buy it unless they encountered a wealthy buyer. Otherwise, it's quite difficult to sell this thing.

"Where can I find a big-time wealthy buyer willing to pay the price?" Li Xiu thought over and over. Most of the people around him were similar to him, nearly all poor, except for Chu Jun, who was super rich.

So, Li Xiu planned to hand over the task of selling the Ruby Ball to Chu Jun, hoping he could find an appropriate buyer.

After assigning the task to Chu Jun, Li Xiu then asked Sha Chu to help him purchase black spinels.

Black spinels are quite inexpensive themselves, much cheaper than red apatites. Although a large number of black spinels have been used recently for the opening of the Hero Trial Ground, this is just a drop in the bucket for the entire market; only here in the City of Light have black spinels slightly increased in price, but their cost-effectiveness is still high.

Li Xiu asked Sha Chu to collect a large quantity of black spinels, to try to buy as many back as possible, predicting that after the Demon Spirit competition, black spinels will surely experience a significant rise.

Fortunately, Sha Chu had the investment from Boss Qiu; otherwise, he wouldn't have had money to help Li Xiu purchase black spinels.

Of course, Li Xiu called it an advance payment, promising to cover the deficit once he sold the Ruby Ball.

By now, Sha Chu was somewhat numb, too lazy to advise Li Xiu, who he saw as a spendthrift. In phrases like "after the Demon Spirit competition, black spinels must soar," Sha Chu scoffed at such nonsense.

Nevertheless, since the City of Light belonged to Li Xiu, if he wanted to squander, let him squander. Attempts to persuade him were futile, instead leaving Sha Chu feeling exasperated. Sha Chu felt he had aged noticeably recently; wrinkles seemed ready to emerge at his eye corners.

"That's not right, I need a milk bath. Though the city belongs to someone else, my body and beauty are my own, and I won't ruin my precious youth and looks for others' belongings," Sha Chu thought to himself. But before she could buy milk, various matters arose again, keeping her too busy managing the city's affairs to enjoy herself.

She had to visit the construction site, oversee the market, and attend to the City Lord's Mansion's matters; her schedule left no time for enjoyment.

Sha Chu now somewhat doubted if her initial decision was wrong, wondering why life was more challenging than before.

Li Xiu, on the other hand, took things easy. Each day, he reported to the Trial Ground, then fed the Black Death Demon King and Masked Emperor with the black spinels and topaz Sha Chu had collected.

Day by day passed as they watched the Demon Spirit Arena gradually being built. Although it's merely a small part of the planned structure, it already looked quite impressive.

It's estimated that it should be ready for formal use before the Demon Spirit competition begins.

Finally, after countless trials at the Trial Ground, Li Xiu randomly received a ticket, granting him entry once again into the Black Death City.

Inside the Black Death City, there was no Blood Moon. After easily eliminating the ordinary Black Death Demons, Li Xiu began to wander around the city.

He needed to locate the smallest stone house mentioned by the Unparalleled King, which might come in handy later.

After circling one more time, Li Xiu discovered an astonishing fact: the smallest stone house in Black Death City was indeed the one where he found the Godslayer Shrine.

"Could the shrine mentioned by the Unparalleled King be the Godslayer Shrine?" Li Xiu unwillingly took another look several times, but the result remained the same; no stone house was smaller than the one with the Godslayer Shrine.

"No way, could the shrine mentioned by the Unparalleled King truly be the Godslayer Shrine? But except for being able to pull people into the Blood Moon Black Death City, it seems to have no other powers, does it warrant such reverence from the Unparalleled King?" Li Xiu pondered extensively.

Upon leaving, he battled another round of mechanical skeletons, obtaining nothing remarkable besides Demon Cores. The only A-class Flowing Color Demon Core he acquired, Li Xiu then gave to the Jedi Knight, as a slow nurturing investment.

Returning to the city, Li Xiu visited the Nether House; the lady boss thought he brought company, but resulted in seeing only him, greatly disappointing her.

"Take it easy, lady boss, I'm selecting people for you," Li Xiu laughed as he said this.

This liquor wasn't just for anyone to drink. If after drinking someone just dies, the liquor would be essentially consumed in vain, eventually returning itself inside the bottle.

"Humph!" The lady boss just let out a cold snort without saying anything.

As Li Xiu left, he thought to himself: "Looks like the Blood Moon Black Death City and the ordinary Black Death City should indeed be the same place. If they were two cities in different space-times, the lady boss wouldn't recognize me."

"Li Xiu, a buyer has been found for the Ruby Ball, but they don't have enough cash and want to barter with other items. What's your opinion?" As Li Xiu just exited the Black Death City, Chu Jun approached him.

"What do they want to trade with?" Li Xiu asked.

"A Demon Spirit Ring, an S-class Demon Spirit Ring." Chu Jun spoke, his eyes gleaming.

"What S-class Demon Spirit Ring?" Li Xiu frowned as he inquired.

"The data sent by the opposite party is here for you to review; I think it's quite suitable, although the Ruby Ball itself is priceless, an S-class Demon Spirit is indeed remarkable, especially with a Shining Quality." Chu Jun opened up a laptop, showing Li Xiu the data sent by the other party.
