Chapter 12: Yin Element
After a month, Yang Hao had finally tempered his skin to its absolute limit. No matter how much he pushed, it refused to strengthen any further. He clenched his fists, feeling the change in his body, but he knew he had reached the peak of this stage.
"How about giving him that formula?" Meisa asked, her voice as cold as the expression she always wore. Her pale, flawless skin glowed under the dim light, her sharp, icy-blue eyes reflecting no warmth. She sat with perfect posture, exuding an air of untouchable elegance, like a frozen statue that none dared approach.
Seisa, sitting nearby, remained silent, her eyes closed as she focused on recovering from her injuries. Unlike Meisa, her beauty carried an undeniable allure—pale skin smooth as silk, full lips curled ever so slightly, and deep, enchanting eyes that could make any man lose himself in their depths.
Meisa waited, but when no response came, she sighed, crossing her arms.
"Nivrita, do you want me to accept him?" Seisa finally spoke, her voice softer than usual as she opened her eyes to look at Meisa.
Nivrita shook her head. "I want you to accept him, but only by your own standards." Her voice was calm, "With his talent for comprehension if he doesn't die, he will be as strong as us in the future—maybe even stronger. As for his looks, I don't know how you feel about them. And as for his character... we don't know anything yet. So I can't say. If you have other conditions, that's up to you. But I want you to try, just try, and see if you can. Isn't that better than holding onto those negative emotions and increasing your chances of developing an inner demon?"
Seisa sighed, her fingers tightening slightly on the fabric of her robe. "You know I like someone. I was close to becoming his, but then, because of you, we are here. And I had to sacrifice my body to a mortal... Do you even understand how that feels?"
Nivrita remained silent.
"You can't understand... You don't have emotions," Seisa continued, her voice carrying both sadness and resentment. "All this concern you have for me is just logic—your rational thinking. Even if I encounter an inner demon, die, or fall into despair, you wouldn't feel anything. It's just your sense of duty telling you that, as my senior sister, you have to take care of me. But do you really care about me? Are you truly concerned about me?"
Nivrita didn't answer. She merely gazed at Seisa. She doesn't know how to answer this question.
Seisa watched her in silence for a long moment before finally speaking again. "Give him your extra Element Seed."
Nivrita's expression flickered, ever so slightly. "You want me to do that?"
"I will teach him the Yin Element," Seisa said, "With his talent, he can train both Element Seeds. I will make him the best in everything—Skin Tempering, Tendon Tempering, Internal Organ Tempering... everything. I will ensure that Yang Hao becomes the strongest."
"Why?" Nivrita asked.
"Because Yang Hao will become the perfect man. The most powerful. And he will be someone that I, Yan Ruyi, have created," Seisa declared, her seductive lips curving into a smile.
Nivrita sighed, shaking her head slightly before nodding. "Well, if that's what you're going to do, then let me help you. I'm good at fighting, after all."
Yan Ruyi nodded, her fingers lightly brushing against her robe as she whispered, "Then let's do it."
----
Yang Hao wiped the sweat from his brow, his muscles aching from the relentless training. A full month had passed, and his body had reached its limit. No matter how much he pushed himself, his skin could no longer be tempered any further. The realization left him both satisfied and restless. He wants to take the next step and improve himself.
"Now, what about the next stage? How to train tendons?" he asked.
Meisa, who had been observing him silently, finally spoke. "You're not moving on to the next stage. Instead, you will train in the Yin Element."
Yang Hao blinked in surprise. "The Yin Element? But I—"
"You will train in the Yin Element, and I will give you another Element Seed for that," Meisa repeated, her tone leaving no room for argument. "And before we begin, you should know something. My real name is Nivrita."
The revelation stunned him. He had known her as Meisa all this time, but now she was telling him she had been using a fake name. Before he could process it, Seisa spoke up.
"And I am Yan Ruyi," she said.
Yang Hao felt a strange sense of unease. He had been with them for weeks, but now, suddenly, they were revealing their real names. Something had changed, though he couldn't quite grasp what.
"So... what does this mean for my training?" he asked.
"I will be training you in combat techniques. And... Evil arts," Nivrita said.
The evil arts made Yang Hao wary, but he nodded regardless.
"And I will be teaching you the Yin Element. As well as alchemy," Yan Ruyi said.
Yang Hao clenched his fists. As an agreement, he had to learn alchemy, now that Yan Ruyi was teaching then it was better than anything, moreover, training two Element Seeds, meant he would be more powerful than the average person.
Now, Nivrita and Yan Ruyi did reveal their names, but they had no intention of revealing their true appearance for the time being.
