What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

Chapter 1069: They Finally Settled On A Contract

It's been another day and a night and the two still have not come to an agreement on what the contract should be between them.

The good thing was that we were at least still moving along and Ather was still painting me as per normal.

Out of the recent paintings that she made of me, about half of them seemed to satisfy her while she deemed the other half to be failures.

Obviously my girls were more than happy to take the failures off her hands and have me store them in my Bangle of Folding.

I think I have a whole bunch of them stored in my bangle now… Enough to decorate an entire corridor of Mother's house.

At this point, we were about two days away from reaching the city and I have to say it felt like we've been on this road for a long while.

Both Ather and Emilia kept disagreeing over certain things in the contracts that Emilia made for them and they would argue back and forth over it.

Emilia would first hand her a revised contract, then Ather would start making edits to the contract as a counter offer and Emilia would do the same thing which would lead to the two of them arguing over the terms.

I've heard them even argue over the closest distance that Ather could approach me during one of their sessions and I managed to refrain from commenting on it.

Still, I realised that Ather must have either been screwed over in at least one of her contracts before which was why she has been really meticulous in going through the terms that Emilia had set for her and she would fight for any terms that she felt was unfair to her or even remotely stacked against her.

It had gotten to the point that everytime we were aboard the carriages, both of them would be butting heads about it.

The good thing was that I didn't need to listen to them argue anymore since they moved to use the other carriage instead.

I guess they felt a little awkward constantly arguing in front of me all the time.

When we stopped for the night, I was fully expecting the two of them to still be arguing about it but unexpectedly, the two of them approached me with Emilia holding a contract in her hands.

Both of them still looked pissed at each other but they weren't fighting so I guess that was a plus?

"Boss… I think we are finally ready with the contract. You might want to take a look and tell us what you think."

I tilted my head at her, "So I'm assuming that the both of you have come to an agreement about the contract?"

"More or less…" She sighed, though it doesn't sound like she was completely satisfied by it.

I took the contract from her and started to read it just to see what they have agreed on.

It seems like they have made the agreement that she would draw the illustrations for the next two books

I write and Emilia will determine if she should continue after checking how well the books do after her contributions.

For her work, she would be paid a royalty of… Eh?

I looked up at them again and pointed to that clause in the contract, "What's this?"

Emilia came closer to look over my shoulder to see what I was pointing at.

"Ah… That was not my idea…"

In case you were wondering, it was written that Ather will be paid in 'feet pics'...

"Are you serious about this?" I asked the Comissar Off-Worlder.

"Yes. For this work, all I want is to have the opportunity to be allowed to paint pictures of your feet, Miss Aster. Just a single day where I can paint them with no restrictions. I don't need anything more than that."

I shifted my gaze back to Emilia, "Have you two been arguing about this the entire time?"

Emilia crossed her arms and huffed, "Hmph! She wanted three days at first! That's way too many!! Who does she even think she is to be allowed to even paint your feet, Boss?!"

It's… Just my feet… What's so special about them?

You know what, don't answer that question… I'll just… Not comment on this and move on…

Hmm… The next point… In order for Ather to ensure that her work will be the highest quality it can be… She will continue to travel with us to refine her painting skills using me as her muse…

But while she is accompanying us, we will… Not be responsible in taking care of her daily needs?

I looked back up at Emilia again, "Isn't this a little harsh?"

"Why should we allow a freeloader like her to join us and still feed her, Boss?! If she wants to tag along with us, then she should be pulling her own weight!"

I shifted my gaze back to Ather and she didn't seem like she had anything against such a term.

She shrugged, "I don't really need much to survive in the first place thanks to my blessing so it's not that much of a bother to me."

Ok… Since the person herself said so… There's no place for me to comment then…

I read further on the contract and… I paused again.

"Ather has to pay a sum of a hundred Creas everytime she wishes to watch me have sex and to paint me having sex?!" I blurted out.

Emilia nodded, "That's right! You shouldn't be giving others a free show like the last time, Boss! If she wants to watch, she has to pay!"

"No, no, take that out. If she wants to watch, then it's a matter of consent, not a matter of being paid for it. To make her pay for it leaves a bad taste for me…"

Emilia paused for a moment and I thought she would reject my appeal but she just nodded, "I understand, Boss."

Oh, she accepted that rather easily… That's a surprise…

As for the other clauses on the contract… They seem relatively normal like this one that says no one is allowed to alter Ather's work except for herself and me.

Then there's another point that said that all illustrations have to be approved by both Emilia and myself before it could be accepted.

Then another point that mentioned about not being able to sell or use her work in other stuff aside from the intended book and the promotion of said book unless either Ather or myself approve of it.

And there's also one where no one can decide what type of artstyle Ather uses aside from herself or me.

And another one that says no one can dictate what paint brushes Ather uses for her paint except herself and… Me?

Wait a minute, why are there so many points dependent on me? Why the heck do you even need to put a point here specifically addressing your paint brushes? What happened to you in the past that you saw the need to put this as a point?

Also, shouldn't most of this contract involve Ather and Emilia? Why does my name appear more times that theirs do?

As I continued to read, I realised more fine print at the very bottom of the page that said this contract will only be in effect until the mentioned books have been released and everything would be null and void when either both books have been release, both Ather and Emilia agree to end it, or if I decided to end it.

Well… That means that this is merely just a temporary contract to begin with so I guess I was worrying over it too much.

One thing I want to make sure though…

I turned back to the two girls standing in front of me, "Does that mean Ather will be travelling with us from now on?"

"Yes," Ather answered immediately without hesitation.

"Temporarily!" Emilia cut in right after. "Remember, this is only temporary! Not a full time position! You got that?!"

Ather didn't even answer her and just continued to stare straight at me.

"This bitch… Always having selective hearing loss whenever it suits her," Emilia grumbled, turning away.

I decided to address Ather directly, "You do know our destination, right?"

She nodded, "The loud mouthed cat has told me, Miss Aster. You intend to search for a Grey Walker to teleport you to the Frostiminir Kingdom, yes?"

"That's only part of our route though and more of a detour. I'm talking about our main goal of this journey of ours."

"Hmmm? In that case, she had neglected to tell me what that was. What is your main goal then?"

"We're seeking to enroll in the main Aerialla Academy to become students there. Are you still fine with that?"

"Aerialla Academy? What's that?"

"Oh, you've never heard of that place? It's a magic academy that is located on a group of floating islands on the--"

She suddenly leapt forward and grabbed my arms, "Floating islands?! Magic Academy?!! Miss Aster, you must take me with you!!! Please!!!"

I guess she wants to paint them too?
