Chapter 1270: Section 1271 Family Surnames
The mist and Illusion Demon Island melded together, with the golden sunshine shining upon the sea of clouds, making it seem as if a layer of golden sand was spread over the snow.
And now, White Bear stood on this layer of golden sand.
“Is it really okay for me to follow you here? I’ve heard the fate of those who trespass on Illusion Demon Island is quite dreadful,” White Bear hesitantly looked at Dororo beside him.
Dororo’s expression was cold as he glanced at White Bear and replied softly, “It’s fine.”
Having received Dororo’s affirmative answer, White Bear breathed a sigh of relief. Although he belonged to the Prophecy class, his predictions regarding his own affairs often turned out to be inaccurate. Dororo, on the other hand, was different; nearly everything he said turned out to be correct.
As for Dororo’s cold demeanor, White Bear didn’t mind it. Over time, he had come to understand that apart from being attentive to Angel and showing a smile, Dororo maintained the same expression toward everyone else, even when facing Mentor Maya.
After confirming he wouldn’t be turned away, White Bear also followed Dororo’s gaze toward the depths of the sea of clouds.
The sea of clouds, Dawnlight, and Illusion Demon Island.
Three magnificent sights, perfectly overlapping each other. Even though White Bear lived on Starry Sky Island, which was considered a “spectacle” by the wizards from Barbarian Cave, the sight before him still felt shocking.
The sea of clouds transformed, dreamlike and illusory.
For a moment, White Bear was almost spellbound by the sight.
Just then, a person suddenly emerged from the stream of golden light-filled clouds. It was a short figure, entirely shrouded in a black cloak, with a mask that bore strange patterns on his face.

White Bear immediately recognized the attire as that of an Illusion Demon Island’s Shadow Servant. However, White Bear had never seen such a short Shadow Servant before.
The small Shadow Servant approached White Bear and Dororo alone, coughed twice, and spoke somewhat awkwardly, “Are you Mr. Dororo?”
Dororo nodded.
“Young Master Pat has granted you permission to enter, please follow me,” the small Shadow Servant said with an air of adulthood, nodding to Dororo.
“What about me?” Seeing Dororo about to follow the small Shadow Servant, White Bear asked anxiously.
“Who are you?” The small Shadow Servant looked puzzled at this strange fellow dressed like a White Bear doll.
“I, I am Hobson, a friend of Angel’s, I have urgent matters to discuss with him,” White Bear said.
Months ago, when Angel returned to Barbarian Cave, White Bear had come to find Angel, but before he could see him, Angel had gone to the Abyss. Now, finally learning of Angel’s whereabouts, White Bear immediately followed Dororo to find him.
However, White Bear spoke without much confidence, unsure if the small Shadow Servant would allow him to enter.
“Hobson? Young Master Pat didn’t mention you, according to the rules of Illusion Demon Island, we can’t let you in without permission…” The small Shadow Servant cut off mid-sentence as his ears twitched, apparently hearing something, “Alright, I understand.”
The small Shadow Servant lifted his head to look at White Bear, “Okay then, follow along. Young Master Pat has granted you permission too.”
Upon hearing this, White Bear’s tense mood finally relaxed.
Following the Shadow Servant’s lead, they stepped onto Illusion Demon Island. Walking through the mist and heading towards the Dawnlight, they travelled along the island’s path for half a day and finally arrived at the central estate of Illusion Demon Island.
At the entrance of the estate stood two people.
One dressed just like the small Shadow Servant but was much taller. The other was a young man in a white shirt, his golden hair shining in the sunlight, with a distinct charm and handsomeness against the backlight.
White Bear’s eyes immediately lit up when he saw the youth.
“Angel,” White Bear murmured his name, feeling an inexplicable sense of anticipation stirring within him.
Angel approached and whispered to the little Shadow Servant, “Hebdon, go and report to Butler Good. I’ll take it from here.”
After the little Shadow Servant left, Angel’s gaze turned to Dororo, a smile brimming in his eyes, “I didn’t see you when I came back last time. I heard you went to Crown Star Church with Lord Maya for advanced studies. How was it? The results must have been good, right?”
Dororo’s eyes were filled with the excitement of a long-awaited reunion, with much he wanted to say to Angel and many things he wished to ask, especially about the dark, bloody scenes he had foreseen.
But Dororo didn’t know where to begin, and in the end, he simply said, “Not bad.”
“If even you say it’s not bad, it must be quite good,” Angel said, beaming at Dororo. Though it had been a long time since they’d seen each other, Dororo’s appearance hadn’t changed much. However, his overall demeanor had completely transformed from before. This intrinsic change was clearly positive for Dororo.
Angel also felt relieved. It seemed that entrusting Dororo to Maya for guidance had been the right choice.
“Let’s go inside and talk,” Angel said before he started leading the way. After taking a step, he suddenly remembered something and turned to White Bear, “By the way, I remember your surname, it’s Sile, isn’t it?”
White Bear was taken aback, having assumed Angel might overlook him, he hadn’t expected the other to suddenly ask about his surname.
A bit dazed, he nodded, “Yes, Sile is my family name.”
A flicker crossed Angel’s eyes, “It seems I remember correctly. I happen to have something to confirm with you.”
After a moment, Angel led the two of them to the hall.
All the while, White Bear was somewhat distracted. When Angel suddenly inquired about his surname, he hadn’t reacted right away. But once he regained his composure, it seemed as if he had realized something. His heart thumped wildly at the possibility, but fear of misunderstanding Angel’s intentions made him somewhat anxious and insecure.
Upon reaching the hall, White Bear slowly came out of his reverie as he noticed Lord Illusion Demon sitting on the sofa, flipping through a notebook.
Besides Illusion Demon, White Bear noticed another person in the hall. Not a Shadow Servant, but a figure wearing a hood and gray robe, with an indiscernible face.
The only distinctive feature was his extreme thinness, so emaciated it seemed a gust of wind could blow him away.
At first, White Bear didn’t pay much attention to this person, but he noticed that when they walked in, the man had fixed his gaze on them, or more precisely, on Dororo.
Dororo seemed to have noticed the man too, his expression odd, with occasional flashes of confusion in his eyes.
Even after they had entered and stood still, Dororo’s gaze remained on the man.
Who was this man? White Bear became curious, driven by Dororo’s expression and the strange atmosphere in the room.
Just as White Bear was pondering the relationship between the two, Angel suddenly said, “White Bear, let’s step outside for a moment, I have something I want to ask you.”
White Bear had assumed Angel would speak with Dororo first, so it was unexpected that he would converse with him instead. He glanced at the still dazed Dororo and nodded at Angel.
As White Bear followed Angel out of the hall, he looked back to see Dororo seemingly saying something to the gaunt figure, but he could no longer hear what it was.
White Bear followed Angel to an open-air terrace on the second floor. Once they were standing still, Angel turned and said, “I guess you’ve figured it out, why I asked you out here, haven’t you?”
As he spoke, Angel took out a slightly yellowed White Bear stuffed animal from his bracelet.
