Warhammer 40k : Starting as a Primarch

Chapter 35: Chapter 35: This Prince Is Really Special

After Dukel got serious, the rearguard mission turned into a massacre.

All around him lay the dismembered corpses of Khorne warriors, some even surrounded by massive Chaos Eggs.

The Blessing of Khorne can make his followers stronger, but it also serves as a curse bestowed by the Blood God.

Once a Khorne follower loses the will to fight, perhaps due to the urge to retreat or flee, the curse activates, transforming them into a giant Chaos Egg.

During the battle, Dukel's fighting fervor grew increasingly intense, and the momentum he created became overwhelmingly terrifying. Under the immense pressure, some Khorne followers even lost the will to continue fighting and forgot the curse hidden within their blessing.

"Chaos Worshippers, this is all your choice."

Dukel teased, slapping the surface of the Chaos Eggs, hearing the furious roars of Khorne emanating from within.

Meanwhile, at the ambush site prepared by the Battle Sisters:

The captain in charge kept a sharp focus on the front lines, her eyes scanning for any movement.

"Everyone, keep your guard up. The enemy may arrive at any moment!"

"Be cautious in hiding!"

"Double-check the traps. Remember, we are the last shield for the Medical Sisters!"

"We need to buy enough time for the wounded to recover."

At these words, the Battle Sisters' spirits were lifted, ready for the challenges ahead. They remained quiet, like a dagger in the dark, prepared to strike at a moment's notice.

However, twenty minutes passed, and no demons appeared.

A commissar in the group spoke up, his voice low but firm, "Stay alert. The enemy could strike at any moment."

Thirty minutes later, still no demons appeared.

"Stay calm, don't panic. The demons may be investigating. We wait."

Forty minutes later, the Battle Sister with the grenade launcher cursed softly, "These stupid demons... did they die on the way?"

Over an hour passed before the demons finally failed to show, but instead, Sister Efilar arrived with her team.

"What's the situation? No demons yet?" Efilar asked, having rushed over after treating a large number of wounded Space Marines.

She was the backbone of this group of Battle Sisters. Without her, the team could easily fall into chaos after a battle with the demons.

And since combat was imminent, gathering the strongest force possible was crucial. After ensuring the wounded could fight again, she led the force over.

In war, there's little time for the wounded to heal slowly.

"Sister, the demons haven't come," the adjutant reported quietly. "We didn't dare send anyone to scout, so we don't know what's going on."

Their mission was to stop the enemy here and buy time for the wounded to be treated.

Efilar frowned slightly, "Why do you think the demons haven't come?"

She sought her adjutant's insight.

After a moment's thought, the adjutant replied, "I suspect His Highness Dukel did something."

"Perhaps he's been fighting the enemy, holding them off, or even defeating them."

"Based on my analysis, His Highness the Primarch is still engaged in battle. It's even possible that he led the demon army away," the adjutant explained.

"Should we establish communication with His Highness and ask for details?" the adjutant suggested carefully.

Leading the enemy away was a successful tactic to cover their retreat.

But regardless of the situation, the forces were likely under strain. Any interference or mistake could have unpredictable consequences, and Efilar could not take that risk.

"Forget it. I can't bear the responsibility," Efilar decided.

"Send someone to scout ahead. We'll continue with the ambush. I've already hidden the supplies. If the World Eaters dare show their faces, we'll teach them a lesson!"

Her commanding voice invigorated the Sisters.

Their lazy spirits were renewed, and they swiftly began preparations.

At that moment, a team of extreme warriors arrived.

"Are you the Primarch's troops?" asked the leading Ultramarines captain.

"Hmm?" The Battle Sisters around her were stunned and quickly inquired, "Have you met the Primarch? What about the demons?"

"The demons were destroyed."

This was the Ultramarines team Dukel had rescued. Initially, they hadn't gone far, lurking about one kilometer away, ready to support the Primarch.

But as the battle raged on, they realized just how valuable Dukel's intervention had been.

All the Khorne demons had been turned into Chaos Eggs.

Support? No support was needed.

So, when the battle neared its end, they were the first to return.

"More than a dozen Khorne champions, leading thousands of World Eaters Legion soldiers, all wiped out?" The Battle Sisters were dumbfounded.

The Ultramarines captain fell silent, his eyes distant as he recalled the scene. The carnage was indescribable.

"It's hard to explain. Anyway, this prince is really special."

The two sides exchanged a look, a strange silence hanging in the air.

After this small episode, the war continued—or rather, the war never ceased in the grimdark future of the 41st Millennium.

With the Empire's technology, it isn't difficult to cleanse an entire world.

However, to rescue the loyal humans of the Imperium while wiping out the forces of Chaos inevitably leads to a stalemate in ground warfare.

Dukel, though, executed the rearguard mission flawlessly.

He continued to lead charges in other battles, making what should have been a deadlock into one-sided victories.

"Kill them all!!!"

The Primarch's roar echoed across the battlefield, inspiring every loyal soldier.

He ripped demons in half and crushed human traitors underfoot.

His unquenchable thirst for battle sparked the Imperial soldiers to charge with fervor.

Amid the clash of battle cries, the entire world shook with humanity's victory, heralding the fall of the forces of Chaos.

Soon, the Chaos warbands, fallen warriors, and alien forces tainted by the Warp were cornered in their last fortress.

They hoped to use their steel fortresses and force field shields to hinder the Imperium's forces.

Orbital plasma cannons rained from the sky like thunder.

Dukel had upgraded the technology with computing power, making these railguns more deadly than any produced on Mars.
