"Ikemefuna, Ikemefuna" A cold, dark voice whispered slowly.
Ikemefuna rose up from the hard bed with his back aching, he rubbed his eyes as he struggled to regain clarity.
"Where am I?" He asked, "Who am I?". He questioned himself as tried searching his mind for answers to the damning questions, yet his memories were blank, it was clogged, as if an unseen hand held unto it preventing him from reaching anything.
"It hurts" he whimpered as he scratched the back of his head.
He turned around, in a bid to get a grasp of his surroundings, and as it turned out, he was in a room coated with some type of , metal?, he wasn't sure. What was metal?, he questioned himself. And sure enough, without much given thought , he knew what metal was.
'Strange'.
"Ikemefuna" The cold voice whispered again.
It sounded from all around him.
"Who?", ikemefuna turned around, this time in search for what he thought was a person whispering his, name?, yes, he was sure ikemefuna was his name, wasn't it?.
His head didn't hurt this time, so at least it was a sign.
"Where is that whisper coming from?, I could have sworn that I heard my name". He asked, his face displaying clear signs of puzzlement.
"Ikemefuna, the voice whispered again, this time more violently.
"Who are you, and why are you calling my name?" He voiced out, his voice was calm, not lound, but enough for whoever was in the room to here.
"Ikem, calm down", it echoed vehemently, "I am your 'Chi', your Faith guide, I reside within the very fabric of your spirit as a divine spark", The whispering voice had finally revealed.
Ikemefuna was silent; he didn't know how to react to what he just heard, was this the norm?, or was his case different?.
"I don't mean to sound rude, but I have no memory of this". At this point Ikem had begun pacing disturbingly across the room. He was trying to sort things out, to think back, but the jarring pain in his head stopped him.
'Curses'
"There is no use pacing, or troubling yourself for your memory, because as it is, it was stolen. The chi spoke up. "And the current you has no way of getting it back".
"Stolen?" Ikem queried.
"Well, perhaps forgotten would be a more appropriate term" The chi whispered.
"Hold on, by who?"
"That I Cannot say, I do not have the right to, nevertheless, even if I could I wouldn't, hearing it's name is enough to blow up the head of any demigod, and destroy his essence".
"If you can't answer that then tell me, where the heck am I?". Ikem asked as he tapped a mettalic wall in the room.
"Far", the chi replied, "Far, far away from home. You are held captive in an enemy's territory, where your choices are either submission or death.
"How do you know that, if you reside in my spirit, how can you know all this, you can't move or communicate with the outside world, right?". Ikem thought, still tapping on the wall, he was moving horizontally, tapping as he moved
"By Bi-location, Space, and other laws of physics are useless in the spirit world. "I see all. Normal things and the things human minds aren't capable of comprehending.
'Physics?' Ikem pondered on the word, he knew what it meant but the actuality of it felt different to him, in a way unexplainable by words.
Finally he had stopped his movements. "Speaking of which, why am I being held here?, did I do something wrong?. Ikem was slowly getting stressed out. The room was cold empty and devoid of any light, this wasn't any sane person would want to stay in. Yet, somehow ikem found solace in the dark, damp, emptiness. He could see alright in the darkness(he didn't know it was dark to begin with) .
Suddenly, a metallic door in the room opened, letting bright light seep in. Ikem, standing close to the revealed door; covered his eyes from the impeding bright light. He had just began to realise his ability to see in darkness.
A tall, lanky silhouette walked into the metallic room with his arms behind his back, he stopped just in front of Ikem, who was by no means shorter than him. The man then cleared his throat.
"Forty-eight hours spent asleep, and when you wake up, you start talking to yourself, babbling like a mad man". The man had a stern gaze as he glanced at the teenager in front of him. "Are you sane"
Ikenna stared at the man in front of him, scratching the back of his head, the man's Name tag read: Eloth Diu.
"Sorry, who are you?" He questioned respectfully.
"I am an Instructor" the man; Eloth, replied.
