Wandering Meteor

Chapter 451 Different Versions of Life Community

Deploying thrice the troops for battle is a rarity in the history of both the Bose Alliance and the Fermi Alliance, a sign of the high regard they held for the Wandering Alliance.

Unfortunately, they still didn't take it seriously enough; at least not to the extent necessary. Only when the three parties truly began to engage in combat, did they start to appreciate the terrifying nature of the Wandering Alliance.

Despite the seemingly small number of Battle Stars in the Wandering Alliance, their superior technological level and adoption of an elite military policy—valuing quality over quantity—meant that each Battle Star was incredibly powerful, each essentially representing the pinnacle of the Wandering Alliance's individual combat capabilities.

In contrast to the Wandering Alliance, both the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance fared much worse, due to their hierarchical system within their life community structure, which consisted of a primary civilization and its subsidiaries. Naturally, to guard against any subversive tendencies among the subsidiary civilizations, the main civilization would never allow the combat power of their Battle Stars to be too strong. Hence, within the large forces of the Bose and Fermi Alliances, many of the Battle Stars were merely nominal.

Of course, what counts as nominal also depends on who you ask.

To the main Battle Stars of the Bose and Fermi Alliances, or those of the Wandering Alliance, these are nominal when considering the actual combat levels of a genuine Level 4 Civilization. But against Battle Stars belonging to Level 1, 2, or 3 Civilizations, they could still easily dominate.

After all, even the subsidiary civilizations' Battle Stars were equipped with standardized energy weapons.

As for the aforementioned hierarchical system, it is a detailed system implemented within the larger framework of the life community.

The concept of "life community" was originally proposed as a broad coexistence idea. As this concept became widely applied across the universe, it was inevitable that civilizations would modify the details to better suit their own circumstances or needs. This is similar to Communism, which is also a distribution system at a broad level; each country on Earth that adopts it inevitably makes its own detailed changes, which is only natural. The Bose and Fermi Civilizations too have merely tweaked the details within the life community framework.

Such changes have resulted in a variety of versions of the coexistence system throughout the universe.

Of course, each version has its pros and cons. For the version adopted by the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance, it secures their own status but also imperceptibly lowers the overall combat level of the alliance. However, such shortcomings would generally not be exposed unless they faced civilizations of equal strength or stronger than themselves. The egalitarian version, like that of the Wandering Alliance, allows for cooperation among all civilizations within the alliance, fostering a shared progress and win-win situation—whether in technological or economic levels, slowly aligning them, thus eradicating differences in technology, economy, and ideology. This allows every Battle Star produced by the alliance to be among the strongest.

It's precisely these differences between the two versions that led to the disparity in combat strength between the two civilization alliances.

At this moment, amidst the great battle, the Battle Stars of the Wandering Alliance formed squads in a "two close, one distant" pattern, launching fierce attacks with a combined strategy on two fronts against the thousand-star armies of the Bose Alliance and Fermi Alliance!

Despite only having around 160 Battle Stars on both fronts, the offensive mounted by these 160 Battle Stars forced the retreat of over a thousand enemy Battle Stars in disarray. This left the Bose and Fermi Alliances utterly shocked, and they began to slowly realize the terror of the Wandering Alliance.

The terror of the Wandering Alliance lies in the fact that their offensive is based on small squads.

Each combat squad contains one Science and Martial Battle Star, one Dark Gold Battle Star, and one White Dwarf Battle Star as the basic configuration. If the Science and Martial Battle Star or White Dwarf Battle Star are fully equipped, then an Information Battle Star and a Neutron Battle Star will take their place; in any case, there will always be at least one combat squad with the abilities for long-range attacks, close-range transformative assault, and high-density Battle Star cover.

These three abilities combined can support each other and are capable of both offense and defense.

For example, if the Science and Martial Battle Star needs to use its ultimate weapon to destroy enemy stars, then the Dark Gold Battle Star and the White Dwarf Battle Star will execute distracting maneuvers. If the enemy star launches an attack trying to break through and its power is insignificant, the White Dwarf Battle Star can simply use the White Dwarf Star itself to take the hit. Even when necessary, the White Dwarf Battle Star can rip and devour the enemy star in one fell swoop. Even if we assume that the attacks from the Science and Martial Battle Star and the White Dwarf Battle Star both fail, the transformative assault ability of the Dark Gold Battle Star is unpredictable and can pierce through the enemy star in one strike.

If these three methods of attack are used separately, none would be considered very strong, but when combined and well-coordinated, they usually achieve the effect of facing a hundred with one. To enhance the coordination and combat capability of the squads, the Wandering Alliance often holds military exercises while en route to the Cosmic Center.

As the old saying goes, "Train for a thousand days for the battle to come." To ensure readiness for that moment, one certainly needs consistent "training"!

One often witnesses the following scene at the eastern and western fronts: facing the fierce assault of the Wandering Alliance's squads, either there are Battle Stars being annihilated by weapons such as Quark Corner Ban, Cosmic Bomb, Flow Base Disassembly, or they are being forcefully ripped apart and devoured by the White Dwarf Battle Star or the Neutron Battle Star, or pierced through the Star Core by the transformative assault of the Dark Gold Battle Star wielding the Planet Giant Sword—followed by a magnificent and brutal explosion!

"Damn it!"

Faced with such a relentless retreat, the Commanders at both eastern and western fronts are filled with immense anger and shame.

Among them, the Commander of the Bose Alliance at the eastern front is a Constant Star Celestial Civilization. The reason why a Constant Star Celestial Civilization was deployed to hold the eastern front is to counter the leader of the Wandering Alliance, Constant Star Lu Chen. This Constant Star Celestial Civilization, Baiwei Star, has a mass of fifteen million Constant Star Masses, and is fully capable of confronting Constant Star Lu Chen head-on.

However, even before Baiwei Star could encounter Constant Star Lu Chen, their own Battle Star forces were already being pushed back by the enemy's 160 Battle Stars, resulting in anger and disgrace. They were all Level 4 Civilizations, and had such numbers, yet they were so easily defeated in combat that it would be a joke to mention it. Thus, in order to recover the situation and to maintain their dignity, Baiwei Star immediately ordered the remaining five hundred Battle Stars to retaliate using the ultimate weapon, Bose Zero.

On the other hand.

The Fermi Alliance on the western front watched as their own Battle Stars had just engaged only to lose half their number instantly. The Commander, a Constant Star Celestial Civilization named Lan Yaoxing, feeling both heartache and fury, immediately made the same decision as the eastern front, ordering the remaining Battle Stars to counterattack with Fermi Zero.

In addition to that, Baiwei Star and Lan Yaoxing, these two War Commanders, also decided to take action, to deliver a heavy blow to the Wandering Alliance!
